http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/vapexhale-cloud.5247/page-657#post-432858I'd really like to hear more about the thermal stress issue.
Yes, hovewever I would be a bit scared of using any "fake" vape. In this case I could make an exception because seriously - unless the bamboo is not broken I can't have any concern about the airpath.@Seek I don't know enough about the cloud internals to know if that's a good idea or not, but at that point, wouldn't it be easier to just get the cloud and use it as is?
Nice idea, but i think I am not going to do anything like this. Also if the material does not have the same thermal expansion coeficient as the ceraminc and boroglass it could do more damage than good.3000F rating

Unless I think of a something that would be a better candidate, this is what I am going with as a (hopefully) preventative step.
OF gave me a great suggestion, furnace cement

When was he supposed to send them? I wasn't expecting anything until after the thanksgiving holiday. Basing this simply on him saying the shipping dept would send them to me. Let me know if you get yours as well. Thanks!let me know if you get that return label, he promised one to me too but still waiting.
I believe that all these units being sold by this guy, are defective or most likely did not pass QC testing, that doesn't necessarily mean the units don't work.
Still trying to figure out the return of my 220v unit, but my unit looks brand spanking new, except some screws are loose and or not screwed in properly, and the metal HOT plates and the bamboo looks misaligned.
I'm pretty sure the unit works fine, (can't test it since its 220v) but def not resale-able if it were coming from vapexhale directly.
This would explain why some people have gotten DOA units, and others have complained about the HOT plates and other parts being misaligned.
Thats not true....He has 1000+, you can tell by inputting different amounts and adding too the cart (till you find the true # of stock)I got my pseudo cloud+ on Tuesday. DOA. Lights up red but never gets hot. Seller had good communication yesterday straightening it out( I was surprised). He is supposedly emailing me return labels to ship it back to - get this - the manufacturer. The one in Pennsylvania that is. They are going to fix my unit and return it working. We will see. I'll report what happens.
Couple of tidbits I got from my communication. He had 375 clouds to start with, 200 of them are international.
I'm the only vaporist of my friends so noone I know even has a vape, let alone a cloud, but from pics and vids I've seen, these are the real deal. Maybe just not QCed after they were assembled. Mine was on when it came, which makes me think they were turned on but not tested for heat up.
No ELBs BTW
And my heat plate is perfectly aligned. Looks great as a paper weight right now
Believe what you want. The seller is the 'former contract manufacturer' for VXL and these units were assembled by the contractor from remaining parts inventory. They're obviously not all defective (although long term functionality remains a question) and nobody but the seller knows what, if any, QC has been done prior to shipping. It's certain though, that none of these units were completed and ready for sale when VXL was still doing business with them.daverus said:I believe that all these units being sold by this guy, are defective or most likely did not pass QC testing
That's easy to say and easy to change. When it comes to this seller my attitude would be 'I'll believe it when I see it'.He has 1000+

Idk why he would lie about it

Theyoyokid1 on EBay is also honoring the VB codes. Water tool code is VBWTBF
