So I just got my 'new' ESV 'from Darren'. I ordered a week or so back, it came FedEx and needed a signature (which seems a popular question sometimes). I got no notice from "Authorized Vaproizer Dealer" that it had been shipped, it just showed up in a reasonable time (about a week). I, of course, got a confirmation of the order, but that's it. Don't haunt your inbox, you should be stalking FedEx it seems.......signature at the ready.
It is pristine, at least so far, no scratches, fingerprints (except mine....) with a 'stiff ring' on the loading cover an no sign of it ever being used anywhere.
It's a very early S/N if they are indeed serial. It's A0000XX, nearly 1000 lower than one I bought in Feb of this year. It's also stone dead, won't 'light off' with a draw, so I'm charging it. I don't think it was ever charged (perhaps not even tested in manufacture) since the jack wouldn't accept the plug without some work. Interestingly enough the 'step levels' had been dialed up? One was mid scale, 3 top wack, 2 between them which leads me to believe someone, somewhere bumped them up but never used it?? The charger has a split up the side, but has the protective tape over it, I suspect it came that way and was never used. Likewise the shot cable shows no scratches or other signs of use. The literature seems unread.
One interesting thing so far is the charging current. It's .50 Amps, not the 1.07 the newer one uses. Recharges will be twice as long therefore. Meaning the current ones (which recharge in under an hour) will be a whole lot more useful for some guys. I wonder when this changed?
If it was a display unit I'm thinking it was 'used' to show customers (never loaded) and when the battery went flat was swapped out for a new one?
Anyway, IMO well worth $150 (assuming it works after charging). "Get 'em quick before they're all gone" (again).
