@btka you are correct. I use a fine-coarse-fine screen in the chamber. I basically just added a fine screen to the stock setup under the retainer ring. IMO this keeps the heat more even in the chamber.
@grokit IMO I find through all my testing, the 3 screens in the chamber (and either 2 stock chamber lid screens or finer bottle cap screen) and tweaking the coil closer to the camera seems to work the best so far. The whole coil must be tweaked, not just the edge.
You do not want the coil touching the camera, but closer to it. Do not worry, the camera lens will not melt, it is made from pyrex.
@Shit Snacks at first I used 2 criss crossed factory screens at first.
After making the bottle cap screen with a finer mesh, I elevate (get it) the surface of the stir lid apx a mm above the screen so vapor can pass through the majority of the screen.
I use a small washer under the stir lid. The stir lid can be raised just enough so it allows better airflow while the stir lids post come closer to the chamber screen.
Just make sure you use a thin washer under the stir lid so the stir prongs don't make contact with the chamber lid screen. I also use my stainless steel Indica brush to clean out around under the stir lid it works very well.
IMO This absolutely makes a difference. It does not restrict airflow and it keeps the sensor much cleaner. I have well over 100 chambers vaped without opening my ESV to clean the sensor or touch the coil.
I personally disagree with using a fine grind like shit snacks does, I use a medium grind and keep it fluffy. The finer the grind the more particulates fall through the chamber on the camera lens, I find this to be especially true if you are using the stock 2 screens (without adding a fine screen on the bottom).
I get 12 draws from .10-.15 without coming close to combustion. I also never go above 350F on the app.
These are all of course my own opinions. This is what I have found works best for me after countless hours of testing and many, many chambers vaped.
Now with some minor tweaking I now have an ESV that is custom tailored to me.
