I just finished presenting papers, paying customs and taxes for importing a woodscents. 79,87€ plus 2 weeks of delay and about 2-3 hours of paperwork. I still dont have my unit and wont have in a couple of days. Before all the vape paranoia taxes would have been a lot less because I used to declare vapes as medical aromatherapy devices but now that definition is forbidden and I have to declare it as a decorative oil diffuser with full tax and a little extra fee. Fuck black market oil carts and gubernamental idiocracy they just cost me 45€ If you want to import a vape from USA to Europe wait a few months..

Thought waiting 7 till 30 days and discussing with stupid old customs guys witch kind of predefinde category of their IT mask they should my item put in would be stressful, but this sounds way worse.

Wow I drop a little kind of jokey but true comment and you have people in the holiday season with time to create drama. Alexis your situation was much worse than mine and I hope you are doing better. I just wanted to leave it packed and safe and was very busy cooking, wrapping and packing getting ready to visiting family and so I wasn't breaking it out to try until I had time to read the instructions and sit back and enjoy it, which I did. I thing this is a great fit for my style of vaping. It is great for micro-dosing or a good session. Quick, easy to clean, simple, and just gorgeous. Everyone, take a moment to relax. When I imported my flowerpot i was able to declare it as a medical aromatherapy device with reduced taxes and no added charges. When i did customs papers for the woodscents that posibility was void so i had to declare it as a decorative oil diffuser with full taxes and some extra handling fees. I called asking why I can´t do this and the customs guy told me that given the current vaporizer panic any aromatherapy and vaporizers are void to import. He was very nice and comprehensive and told me to declare it as an oil diffuser if i dont want my package to be retained for an undefined amount of time.

Hey Woodscents gang. Really Happy New Year to you all I do hope you all had a nice restful, enjoyable, fun and exciting Christmas and holiday period and are feeling refreshed for 2020.

So my VVPS that @LesPlenty so usefully linked for us, very cheap option- arrived last week.
I used it first time last night. I'm very glad I have it now. So nice to see that bright red display to always know exactly where you are at, no lifting the dimmer up to a light and straining my weary, stoned eyes.


I was at 11.5 to 12 last night. I forget how it correlates, but I think 12 V would be like running the stock dimmer at 10? Full power basically., but obviously some of you VVPS and Woodscents owners like to step it up even more.


A little lower this early afternoon. I expect it will take some testing to see what power levels I like best.

I added the end bit of the stock WS lead to the VVPS to extend the cord length. The bit of lead that actually plugs onto the Woodscents itself. I was pleased this works because I do like the flexibility and the reach of the stock lead even with the dimmer switch hanging and bonking around in places.

I was anticipating the VVPS meaning a much shorter overall reach, but with the extension its ot too much of a compromise actually.

A little Durban so far on top of a kava dosage.

I just ordered a bunch of the DDave Ti Vapcap screens to try out. Hoping they will improve the airflow like others have mentioned in this thread. I could definitely use a bit more airflow, especially when using glass.

The Woodscents is still my daily driver. Simply the best. Been using it mostly dry with the Ti tip and glass stem. I usually start around 8 on the dial and eventually finish at 10. Works great every time!

Yeah, if I'm using my woodscents dry, I use it with the dynavap tip & glass stem (lower right in the stand in the background of the pic below), but this has become my other most common configuration for using my Woodscents. For me it's just right:

Vaping ~.01g "snaps" in my WS tonight. Been turning the dial to 10 and killing it in one hit. These bowls are just enough to cover Lincoln's head on a penny. This vape is absolutely incredible for microdosing.

I remember one youtube reviewer who used to say that "you can literally vape a crumb", because you can LITERALLY vape just a crumb with these logs. I didn't know how to take that claim, till I got my first log. And yes, you could literally just vape a crumb if you wanted to!

An incredible way to use a little, but still receive a lot. I think one of the best things about this vaporizer is

Ed gives it all to you. You don't need to acquire anything extra to get started, and it becomes economical

through usage. It's used on a daily basis for me, it's just so frugal ( w/ cannabis ) compared to my other

desktops.

In my opinion, yes. Better taste and less harsh. The WS is convection while the Vapcap is conduction.

I was experimenting with "larger" bowls last night. Obviously still tiny compared to most other vapes. Maybe .05-.07g? Anyway, I ripped that amount through a bubbler on max temp. Biggest hit of my life. Instant regret. I think I'm gonna stick to microdosing...

Seriously, this thing is an absolute powerhouse.

I love the conduction aspect of the VapCap - it’s great for pain relief! The taste is pretty good, but I keep hearing the WS tastes phenomenal.

The versatility and efficiency of this piece makes me think it could be the end of my VAS. I usually consume 200mg-300mg of flower in a session no matter whether it’s VapCap, Mighty, or Volcano...WS looks super milky with insanely low amounts!

Definitely better taste. Definitely less harsh. Its like driving at 55 mph steady.

Vapcap is like 95mph, dropping to 70 ish, down to 50's etc to dead halt.

I would like it if I could use my WS in the car when I go out with my mum. The Vapcap is my only option.
My mum won't let me take my Elev8r in the car now after the Blazer Bigshot burned my jacket (it was extinguished but a conduction burn).

WS with car plug in options would be awsome.

Hey huge thanks mate. I'm not sure I have heard any talk in this thread about in-car WS use, may have missed it, so I just assumed it would not be an option.

Sebastien, maker of Herborizer, sent me a lead to use in the car. But not really a car vaporizer, way too dangerous unless parked up, space made etc.

But the WS is a lot safer. Gonna have a proper look at the item you linked me now to see if this really isn't too good to be true.

Thinking of selling off the majority of my glass collection to fund my WS purchase. It’s not Roor or Illy or nothing. Haven’t really been able to justify having three 18-24” pieces sitting around! Definitely keeping my 14” straight tube and my tiny “lil bits” Rick and Morty piece haha

I use my WS with water probably 70% of the time (just can't beat that dry-vapor flavor-explosion sometimes). Of course it's enjoyable without a cap. The Dynavap tip is just a bowl when using it with the Woodscents (complete convection with the Woodscents log, vs. mostly conduction when used with a Vapcap), but it's a completely different vaporizer when used with the Dynavap cap.

Sure! That'll work for your WS too. The Herborizer just draws a few more amps, than the Woodscents is all. That's why you have the bigger fuse there.

Hi WS fam ! Long time lurker first time poster on FC

I'm a proud owner of a Thuya Burl WS (the "slammered" one pictured by Ed in his post a few pages back) with 2020 heater & damn how much i love this thing, it has a real magic in both functions & aesthetics Plus Ed is an incredible guy

I have question regarding a spare titanium tip i just received from my french shop :

this new ti tip doesn't have that "famous dancing stem fit" on the heater WS is known for, it fit tighter & almost doesn't dance on the heater. Does anyone had a similar experience with tips like that ? Is it normal ? i want my tip to kiss the heater like the Ed stock one
