The tool is a pic. I have several in my tool box.

I have two solutions for bowl pics. One is a piece of a stiff stainless steel wire, and one is a straightened paper clip. I mostly use the stainless, but for the glass screen stem the paper clip is just right for the screen holes. I've also used a toothpick.

I just started using some organic cotton in my stems, so far it looks like resin is building up fast. Looks like a good tip, thanks whoever that was!

I've been using cotton (tiny ball with Shatter) @Caligula came up with it!
When I ran out of FINNS I take the cotton from supplement bottles!
FC186 bowl full of DEATHSTAR (30%THC )
OK PARIS OG LATTER ON!

Anybody got any DIY trick that works to prevent the color on the dimmer switch to wear off. I already lost the E in E-nano now I'm worried about the numbers (which are otherwise fine at the moment). I was thinking maybe of nail polish or some other kind of transparent painting or polish? Just something to prevent the white painted numbers to wear off?

Clear nail polish does the trick. Did mine a year ago and still holding up fine.

You can also kind of score a line in the shiny surface (with a thumbnail or paperclip) so it is pretty easy to see your preferred spots in low light.

Good morning all. I joined the vape crowd a little less than a month ago with the purchase of a Crafty. It's great but I think I need a home vape. I think the Nano is the direction I'm headed in. A few questions if you fine people can help me out.
I want a heavy hitter to replace my old bong, Nano is good for this?
Can someone compare the conservation from Nano to the Crafty (or a portable) as my usage amount has gone up since I quit combusting.
What does a typical bubbler run with all the attachments. I see them for 200 and up? I may as well buy a more high end device (herbalizer) if I'm going to be in the 500 range when it's all said and done with a Nano set up.
Any other desk top unit suggestions? I don't think a bag style is necessary. I was a bonger at home and a one hitter during daily activities.
Thanks in advance.

OK, can't answer your Crafty questions, but as a former combuster who primarily used glass bongs and bubblers, I think I have you covered there.

1) Yes, the Nano is awesome for use with water pieces such as bongs or bubblers. All you need is a Glass on Glass adapter (GonG) fit to your piece, either 14mm or 18mm. They are available right on the Epicvape site.

You can get big face melting milky rips from your bong/bubbler, especially after a you get your technique down.

2) I can not compare to a Crafty, but I can compare to another very conservation oriented piece, the Magic Flight. when I only conbusted, I would go though an Oz every 3-4 weeks. When I went to a MFLB, It cut my consumption in half, so an Oz about every 6 weeks. With the Nano my consumption is about an Oz every 2 to 2.5 months depending on the strain.

3) If you're not hard and fast on only purchasing American made glass, you can get a decent quality piece for very cheap. Check this thread for information on where to purchase as well as reviews of specific designs and sellers:
http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/cheap-high-quality-bubbler.5255/page-662#post-790633

To give you an example, the piece I use (D020-D) for vaping cost a mere $25. shipped. The Glass on Glass adapter, about $13.

4) Regarding other desk top suggestions, quite frankly, as a former combuster, I would say if you're looking for familiarity of smoking and the ability to use any of your existing bongs, bubblers, etc... Log vapes are where it's at. Not to say other designs can't fill that niche as well. But logs such as the E-Nano excel at being used in conjunction with water pipes.

Not to mention, you can absolutely use the dry stems to replicate the style of a one hitter. It's just a matter of adjusting your screen for a very small load. Easy peasy.

My e-nano just started rattling recently, and won't heat up. It looks like the heating element is loose.

For those who have had a similar problem... were you able to fix it on your own? Or did you end up getting a repair/replacement? This is my favorite vape, and I am already missing it :uhoh:

I wouldn't try to fix it yourself and void the warranty. Just send it in for service, it's covered under warranty

@Walter Bishop says it all pretty well.

nano on a bubbler can give big cloudy hits with a little practice. If you have nothing now and starting out fresh you could have all you need (nano w/ GonG) and decent Chinese bubbler ($30 - $50) for about $250 total. Many like other bubblers, but I really like the nano on a top center DeWar joint piece. Sidecar mouthpieces are nice because they keep the nano off to the side instead of right in your face in use. Some bubblers that aren't as "close" aren't too bad with this. A couple quick suggestions from DHGate (Chinese website), but there are many others. I'd suggest less diffusion rather than a bunch of crazy percs. This will keep more of the incredible flavor that the nano delivers. Probably best to stick with known vendors on that site. Both below seem to be pretty good, take a look at Cheap Bubbler thread for more options.

GB-187 - a personal fave that pairs well with nano. Straight neck, but sits far enough away that nano not right in your face.

GB-187-S - Don't have this one myself but is on my short list. Basically the same as the one above with sidecar mouthpiece. Has some fans here on FC.

D-020-D - A bit smaller and cheaper, but still nice. Have similar with sidecar (D-020-W - don't think available anymore, but not sure) and still use it all the time.

Don't have a Crafty either, but have been looking at them since they came out. Seems conservation with the nano should be better. Most people are surprised by how well the nano works with very little material. Plus, you're looking at around $300 or more for the Crafty - and no bubbler in that price. That $50 saved will just be the start of how much you'll probably save on material over the long run.

Tough to beat the nano for price and performance as long as you'll be vaping near electricity.

Yep... sounds like a loose heating element. I'd get in touch with Andy & Nadia and get it ready to go. They're usually pretty quick on turnaround for repairs (week/10 days or so door to door). Could maybe fix yourself, but would definitely get clearance from Andy first so you don't void warranty. IMO better off sending it in - especially if you have another vape for backup while she's out.

Thanks for the replies. Glad to hear the customer service is reliable.

I have an Indica 2 as well which has broken on me - but the customer service has been great so it's hard to get too upset. Is most customer service in the vape industry this good?? :luv:

Even with the unit dying on me, this has still been the best vape I've ever owned!

Got my nano in this week and I'm impressed. The construction of the device itself is great. Good finishing on the wood itself. It was actually a little smaller than I was expecting and I knew it was small! I was surprised when the nano was in the smaller box and the power cord was in the bigger box. On the power cord: yeah it's pretty much the biggest downside, I honestly plan to make a new one with more flexible wire. This one is so stiff but it's also new.

I ordered both glass adapters to try. I actually cut out a small screen by hand and use that in combo with the glass screen adapter and it works well. The problem I have with just the glass is the holes let too much stuff through then you get bits in your water and it looks gross. Putting a little screen on top helps. The reason I don't like the adjustible that much is from using my lotus. I constantly poke and stir. With the adjustible screen I keep accidently pushing it lower and lower. Operator error.

Overall it's a great little vape, not sure I can see myself using this all the way until stepping up to something like the sublimator.

Thanks for posting this, @Haakkon! I searched many pages to see what the nano looked like with a wt setup. If any others have some to share, I'd be happy to see them : )

I forgot to get a picture.... Doh. After trying some sweet island skunk x uk cheese wax with cotton in the glass screen gong i noticed it had accumulated some golden oil and tiny herb particles in the connection side. I scraped it then put the crumbly hash clump it made back in the gong with a screen in it with the nano on 8. The taste through water was like wildflowers and coconut. It came from granddaddy purple x diesel x goo and Cali orange flowers. Very nice.

One trick I learned was to use google image search on the thread to find images posted in the thread. Like this.

Ahh like a trip down memory lane... My Claisen is famous! there's that Drew Carey meme I posted, ha! Some amazing Nano's, and like @BOBCAT pointed out many a faithful FC avatars! This pic I did not recognize (GC forums) but thought was cool.

Not a Nano in sight though, that was dissappointing.
