I'm sampling some more private reserve tonight, I'm making room for some new additions. Tonight it's Blueberry. Nothing too exotic, but it does taste like its namesake. It did when I first got it a couple months ago but it still had a bit of that grassy flavor. Now the blueberry flavor is more prominent and complex.
I dropped my E-Nano down to roughly 5.9. This bud is about twice the size of the Strawberry Headband, still not that large but it's all good. This is it for my private reserve for now. I added two more strains to replace these last two.
The nano produces such amazing flavors so easily, it's fun to see how the flavors develop over time with a proper slow cure. I should honestly be curing my flowers even longer for the best results but it's hard to resist the temptation to sample them.
The adjustable screen stem in the back is filled with Bubba Kush.

Oh man! Looks sooooo TASTY! Nice move on the lower temp to increase flavor. When I do this I save those loads for later and mix them 1/2 &1/2 with fresh at higher temps, or more often save that ABV in a separate container then regular ABV to make some real powerful magic milk.
Well 2 weeks living with the Nano. First week was so disappointing I almost returned it. Could only 1 or 2 good draws and then barely visible, even if turning up the heat to begin cooking the material. Even then, no vapor production. Second week and it was more like it. Decreased the screen depth and moved the silicone sleeve about .75" beyond the top of the screen. Also learned how much herb was needed to massage 5-7 good draws from the bowl. Removed the extraction tube after every draw Without question the vapor produced by the Nano is much more significant than the Solo and equal to the Mighty, and produces a much heavier stone using at least 50% less material. Two negatives of using it. I have extremely limited hand dexterity, and having to stir the bowl a minimum of 3 times is a hassle and always results with some of the green herb getting pushed out of the bowl. The second negative; i will definitely modify into oblivion in the next week or two; is the Nano's industrial duty power cord from hell. This, without a doubt, is the worst power supply cord I have ever saw. I am a retired industrial mill wright, and this cord is ridiculous. I am going to make a power cord that will be more manageable. I do not understand why they would make the elegant and stylish Nano and than use this off the shelf Chinese made industrial power cord. I like the Nano, not crazy about it, but it uses less material while providing stronger effects. I do not find the flavor to be much better than the Solo or Mighty, except for the first draw from a fresh bowl. I hope the cord modification will provide a much more satisfying experience.
Cord is a thing, and has been commented on many times through this thread. As someone above said, velcro to table works. I used to just lay mine on its side so it didn't flop around. Finally picked up a nano stand when they were on sale recently. Love it and it works great! FWIW, I think biggest reason for the cord used is to keep price of nano more reasonable. These things can be had for real cheap from China, and nicer cords like you are suggesting would probably increase cost of nano at least 10%. nano prices have been about the same for years, so I personally like the fact that Andy keeps them as reasonable as possible.
With some practice, you should notice a good bit of difference in flavor from the Solo or Mighty. They both rely on conduction, which will give you more of a roasty taste than just letting the meds shine through. Start with the screen depth and dial setting you see most using here (you know how to set screen with E-pik, right?). 6 - 6.5 is usually a good dial setting as a starting point. A little lower, and you should notice more flavor. A little higher and you should see larger, denser clouds.
But, don't let it go at that. Try shifting heat and screen depth in small increments to get to where you want to be. I'll sometimes shift mine a little depending on strain and my mood. I also prefer very small loads to get the most flavor, but you can always load more. Bigger/deeper loads will require more stirring, but less loading. It really depends on what works well for you.
A decent stir tool helps a lot. The E-pik is OK, but I have a few others I like a little better. One is a titanium dab tool that has a small flat end (sort of like a small screwdriver tip). The part of a pencap that acts as a pocket clip works really well, too.
How you nano is of course entirely up to you, but a few tips if hand issues and stirring (and a couple other things) are bothering you. You might find all of it a bit easier if you add a few small bowls or lipped dishes to your vape station. Dump your fresh ground (or chopped or whatever) material into one of them. Use the stem like a straw to suck up just a little bit. Give it a quick tamp and you're good to go. I use the flat end of a golf pencil for tamping, but many things will work - like the other end of that pen cap. You don't want to crush it in there. That will cause uneven roasting, create draw resistance and make more of a mess. Just a quick light tamp to keep it all in place.
After a couple hits, instead of trying to stir and keep all in the stem hold it sideways over your second bowl/dish. Let it fall into the dish and kind of scrape it out with your tool. Give it a shake or a stir and suck it back up into the stem. This is especially helpful if you like deeper loads. You don't finish the top (closest to heater) and still leave unvaped material behind.
And, unless your ABV is coffee colored or darker - save it! All kinds of good stuff can be made from it - from edibles to salves. I've made a few different types of salves/hand lotions that make great gifts. Most of the people who really enjoy them don't even vape or smoke. My mom loves it for her arthritic hands, and starts freaking out and calling me for a refill when her little tub gets low enough to see the bottom!
