Ah, perhaps this might be part of the issue with my order - I ordered a maple burl kit. My order is still under "processing" status. Still no word from Andy, hope to hear from him soon. But as you said, I'd imagine they're getting busier this time of year.

You could always call and ask about your wood being in stock. If they are waiting on the maple then maybe you could switch to something else if you wanted it faster. When I ordered my nano, I called first and talked to Andy about what was available. I then ordered exactly what I reviewed with Andy on the phone. This way he knew my order was coming. Maybe a bit overboard, but I got my nano in under a week.

Standard walnut BTW. I heard the grain in the walnut resists cracking. Wouldn't mind a burl one someday though. You can order specialty wood blanks from @Snappo and he'll send it to Andy who will convert it into a fancy-pants nano :brow:

New buyers- many of us recommend the following accessories:
2 gongs to match your waterpipe (the only way to vape imho) You'll break one sooner or later.. just ask ataxian
a 5 pack of extra basket screens
an extra powercord in case the first one bites the dust

How often do they get the different woods back in stock ? Weeks ? Months ?

And what about using the water tools with 18 vs the 14mm with the adapter ?

Depends on the piece you have...either takes an 18mm or a 14mm. 18mm seems to be more standard from what I understand, but I've heard differently from others. All depends on what you're exposed to I suppose.
18mm also mean 18.8mm if you didnt know, so don't get too confused lol.
14mm is smaller so less airflow. Some people like this, I'll always prefer 18mm I think, LSV would be my only exception atm.

FYI...I ordered my Nano on Nov 26 and just received it on Saturday.
First off ...WOW and WOW. Most of my vaping have been on a pax2 and a Crafty....and this Nano is on par if not better (FLAVOR FLAV) then the Crafty when of comes to Vape EXP and blows the pax2 out the water(which I expected). Lol
Im pleasantly surprised by its functionality and performance. Couldn't of asked for more TBH. THANKS AGAIN NANO NATION. GOOD TIMES AHEAD.

Glad to hear you're enjoy the nano. It will get even better as you get to know the little wonder.

It is tough to compare the nano to portable units. The nano is a desktop and occupies a separate niche than the portables. It is often not a fair comparison. Yes, when I'm home I'd much rather use my nano for the consistent vape temps and power capabilities. When on the road or camping, that's where my Lotus or Firefly shines.

I agree...portables and desktops are a unfair comparison. But that's all I've used(portables) til the Nano LOL . And gotta say this little guy packs a punch. The Crafty is def on par with it. But the taste on the Nano is AMAZING

A lot of folks like to experiment to fine tune their experience with different stains. Based on the type of strain, the moisture level, etc. each new flower vapes differently. So you can adjust for this in several ways. Raise or lower the basket screen, amount of herb used, and the temp setting of the nano. Flavor-chasers love to play around in the 5-6 range. I set mine in the 6.25 spot and leave it. Additionally, each nano is different in some run hotter than others.

I have to say, while I do like good flavor, I just don't have the sensitivity in my taste buds to notice the subtle differences in flavor from one strain to another, but many others can. I just like decent flavor and huge clouds :spliff: Oh, and I like to get

Just called to find out about the woods, but no one picked up. Should I keep trying to call or are they better with responding to emails ?

Hopefully some of you will get info regarding your units tomorrow. Still very successful lower temp vaporizering, almost through the congestion. i have some Kryptonite in my Enano tonight it has a lemon taste and not harsh at all. Still at temp 5.75 it produces flavor and good vapor clouds. I want a good night sleep with very little coughing. Kryptonite is a good nighttime strain. It's too strong for during the day unless I want to sleep.

It's sad I guess?
I really have no ideal what is in my NANO?
This large tall giant jar full colas?

Devastating effect!

Before bed only!

These colas are dry?
Level is the highest I can go? 6.0

Why? How come? The NANO tastes so good?

Suppose to be medical?

Now I had my nano for couple of days and totally love it BUT got some questions

I bought the glass screen gongs and only way to get a good hit is packing about 1 to 2 mm of weed and leaving 1 mm from the heating element screen from touching the weed, fills up my bongs beatifully but sometimes it seams like I get either crazy thick hit or thinner, dont know if I am adding to little or too much

ALSO very important for me is to leave the glass gong in the vaporizer so its hot when I use it, then I get really huge thick clouds with tiny tiny amounts, I seam to not even get visible vapor on 6 if I dont pre heat the gong first?

I still love this vaporizer in every way but I would like to hear some pro tips

You can use the E-Pic to determine the appropriate distance from the heater. The small end should be JUST above your bud when the curve of the E-Pic hit's the GonG.

Pack enough just to fill the bottom without seeing any holes through your herb, then add a spec more. That should be enough to allow for a very nice hit, as well as not overloading with herb.

Try your draw rate. Faster draws will thin your vapor faster. I find a slower draw + lower temp is better than faster draw + hotter temp.

Edit: Typos

Edit: And yes, the pre-heat is known as a heat soak, and is very beneficial with lower temps.
You can also go to higher temps, and blow on your heater for about 3 seconds to remove stagnant heated air, and that makes for a more even burn as well.

I personally prefer a temp at which I don't need to do either.

Was able to chat with Andy, and my e nano will be shipped tomorrow!

Can't wait.

Now I need to figure out a water path option - any advice? Hope to order appropriate GonG adapters and what-not this afternoon

Search Sunshinestore, he is a very reputable seller and all his glass is nice
Most people enjoy the d020d (9 inches, mobius matrix perc knockoff)
Also search Yingmin5, he also sells good glass.
Always make sure you find someone who has good reputation, many items sold, and many of the specific item you're buying, sold.

What glass do you have now? I have gotten acceptable results with the small Magic Flight Orbiter, the ubiquitous d020d and big old 20" straight tube bong. My suggestion is go with the glass you enjoy and adapt the Nanos usage to fit. As an aside I seldom use anything but a dry stem because its tastier and easier to use. On the other hand glass is fun too.

Thanks for the replies! I am currently without glass - I gave away all my pieces some years ago, and have been solely using portable vapes (various VaporGenies and most recently a Firefly) up until now, but I'm ready for a log vape.

That d020d looks good - am I right in thinking the adjustable GonG adapters with the basket screens are the way to go?

Lastly, I'd like to give a general thank you to many of you in this thread that have helped with so much great, honest, first-hand info about the e nano. This is a cool community of like-minded folk that is mostly void of the overwhelming negativity that inundates the majority of the internet today. I'm also sure that most of you posting in between e-nano sessions helps with this...

I do a bit off free lance advertising and product placement for him, he is a fantastic guy and his pieces are of good quality, fantastic if you think off the price actually

I'm sure I'm starting to sound like a broken record when glass questions come up, but I like dankstop.com . You'll pay a bit more for their glass, but there are some advantages to this. You get thick, boro glass with free shipping that arrives in under a week. dhgate often has you waiting for several weeks, which might be fine if you already have glass to get you through the wait. I was also looking at thickassglass.com too. They don't have free shipping but their glass is very reasonably priced and looks fat ass awesome :p. You don't have to spend hundreds to get good glass in the US.

Question enano or plenty or crafty? Which one do you guys like best
Haha, you just named three of the four vapes over $100 that I have owned.

My answer is E-nano by far. Has the most versatility and (potentially) the most power, it's enjoyable to use, feels good in your hand, is beautiful, and it's built like a tank.

Then it would be the Crafty: an excellent vaporizer that's super easy to get good results from, but its downsides in my eyes are lack of a replaceable battery or true pass-through charging. Other than that it's a great vape, but I recently sold mine with probably less than two hours on it. I just don't use it. I will still get a battery-powered vape eventually (the Grasshopper is the one I'm keenest on), but for now it's not necessary.

Plenty uses way too much herb (for best results, that is), but I hang onto it in case I want to use a lot of herb. :p

I also recently acquired a Lotus, and I am very happy with it; it's an absolute beast, like the nano can be, and fun to use. Nano is still #1 for me, but I'm happy to have found a great #2 (and one that I can use with no electricity, at that).

Edit: Another thing that occurs to me about why I have such mixed feelings about S&B products is that with the Plenty, your herbs will cook in the chamber if you are not paying attention. Yeah, there's a shutoff timer, but I hate that your herbs are being exposed to that kind of heat in the absence of use. This is less of an issue with the Crafty, as you can load smaller amounts, but it is still a negative of that design. With both the E-nano and the Lotus, cooking of the herb stops when you stop. I can lay a stem or GonG off to the side and hit it again two hours later with pretty much no loss of vapor quality from if I were hitting it all in one session.

It's hard not to be friendly! We were all that person, posting in this thread that we were about to buy our first E-Nano. It's really hard not to share everything you learn with this device as it's just so fun to play around with.
I've even noticed some negativity on FC, can you believe that! Not here though...Never on the Nano thread.. I don't think I've seen a single hostile statement or argument here.
Everyone here is so nice, and despite not knowing anyone's names or faces, it's hard not to call many of these people my friend!

Whoa that was great loads of information. I do thank you for that, and i was kinda leaning to the enano. I was going to buy the firewood today but they are sold out. But honestly, most of my vaping is done at home so i think ill get the nano first then a portable
