The closest thing I've got to thick carpet sitting under my vaping chair is a child's play rug with the roads stop signs printed on it for playing with toy cars. I found it at a garage sale and it was the perfect size to put underneath a zero gravity beach chair to protect the wood floors. My wife was the one that thought it would be really fun to use and she was right.Fortune cookie says - "thick pile carpet under your feet will be your salvation. A Wong will be your magic carpet".
I feel your pain. I too know what it's like to experience loss. I broke a bowl, gong, and Wong liner all in one week. Normally I can block them with my shoe and typically soften the blow enough that they don't break. If this happens I shout "kick save & a beauty!". Unfortunately this past week I was wearing sandals twice and had to resist the urge for safety reasons and the other was just a brutally ugly kick. I only have one 14mm adjustable left but have 4 Joda gongs and liners coming in to the rescue! No more hc ones though and I'm in your corner albeit the underdog in the hc vs adjustable gong battle, love em both just the hc more! Have a great day bud and take precious care of your Wong!!!Hey I broke all my glass GonG's you sent me!
Luckily I had a WonG from Ed's TnT.
PARIS OG! !!! ,,!

Well, I did it. . . . . I combusted with the E-Nano this morning.
TL;DR: really finely ground bud that is very dried out and vaped at too high of a temperature can and will burst into flame. And when it does, it's your own damn fault.
I'm new to this but it must be very tough to combust because I vaped a couple of time at max (my dial stop at 9.7) and my ABV were dark brown/black but it seems like it was impossible to combust. I even tried to combust on purpose with no effect. Anybody else has the dial stopping at 9.7/9.8?

The dials aren't exact, mine didn't click "on" until like 2 on the dial. You can carefully pry off the numbered section of the dial and readjust it if it bugs ya. I pulled mine off and put it back on so it clicks on at 0.5 and the dial stops at about 9.5. That's one of the reasons why some people say they get clouds at like 5.5 and other may be at like 7 before they see anything.
As far as combustion, it could be any number of things. Dryness of the herb, direct contact between the herb and heat source, length of time on the heat, humidity, etc. Then there's always the possibility that there's a defect, but I'd say "won't catch crap on fire" isn't really a design flaw lol. But if it doesn't get hot enough for concentrates, that's another story.
Does anybody knows how much time it takes the nano to reach the temperature when we change it on the dial? For example, my nano is at 6 for 1 hour then I turn it at 7. How much time does it takes to reach temperature 7?

I like the hovering technique, better flavor and control of temp.
What are some good safe waxes to use?
I'd like to know this too. Will this brand do?:

From the description:
"Only pure unrefined beeswax and the finest natural emollients go into Daddy Van's. No petroleum byproducts. No solvents. No artificial fragrances. It's true - Daddy Van's is absolutely chemical free!"
It doesn't mention alcohol so I'm not sure...
Thanks all,
Norman
So does hovering provide more convection?
Depending on your particular GonG and heating element cover, you can rotate it around pretty well unless it is fully seated. Not sure just how effective it is with the small size of both on nano. Seems I still have to stir to get a full toasted roast of everything. I kind of do it more as a playful thing than to try to vape the whole load without stirring, but YMMV.
Either way, hovering is great! Good way to get a real nice flavorful hit before getting down to serious business. I've gotten into the routine of doing almost all the time.

hey now,Tough to tell. Some people claim 2 minutes. I personally give it at least 5 minutes
@Norman Clature I use the Daddy Van's you linked. It works great and I've had zero issues. I apply it when the enano is heated and I use a micro-fiber cloth.
