Team NO SLEEP!
I like both, but eventually got rid of my plenty... I often regret it.

Nano is much better for me as I am often solo, but I love the simplicity and punch from the plenty when I am hosting the "uninitiated". I get better mileage and efficiency from the Nano, and huge pulls, it just took me learning a little technique to get right. It also took a few accidental combustions, something that rarely if ever happens with the Plenty- I never experienced combustion with it..

Vapor Vixen
I don't want to start a debate here but I've come to the thinking that big clouds are not a good thing with vaping. If you think about it what you are exhaling is vapor that has not yet condensed back in to oils in your lungs, like the oil that collects in our glass pieces. Your blowing out all the good stuff. I've started to do smaller pulls and then letting a little out then inhaling cooler air. Do that a few times on the exhale. The idea is not to exhale any vapor I think, although that might be impossible. I could be wrong.

well, not to derail too much, but preference for cloud sizes is not limited only to conservation strategy. I like some visual feedback with my vape experience and am more than happy to "pay" for that with a bit of vapor visually exhaled.

different strokes, different folks ;)

The E-Nano definitely cured my VAS as well in terms of a desktop. I'm just not all that interested as I don't think there is anything around that would be better for me. Portables though?!
The Lotus is, in my opinion, the best portable to pair with the Nano. The problem with most portable pairings is they almost universally force you to settle for sub par vapor compared to the power of the Nano. With the Lotus, there is no compromise. Probably not the ticket if you want discretion in your vaping, but I might be switching to the Lotus full-time.

Are you talking about Lotus with stem or Lotus with wpa and glass or either?

I got the aluminum stem + WPA. The Lotus is best through a nice, large water pipe. The direct visual feedback and density of the vapor is innately suited to a water pipe. My 18-14mm silicone reducers arrive from @Ratchett today so I'll be able to try it with my new 6in bubbler.

The aluminum stem requires a lot more finesse to hit properly, but provides some of the coolest dry vapor that exists. I wanted the aluminum stem because I wanted a travel piece that was indestructible. With the WPA it's an amazing home vape if you don't mind filling the butane every day. The aluminum stem allows you to take that power anywhere, but will mess up your friends. I definitely want to invest in a torch with a larger reservoir, but I don't want it to not fit in my Lotus bag.

Also, my Lotus bag started falling apart meer days after I got it. The stitching around the zipper is really flaky.

Edit: Sorry to turn this into the Lotus thread.. There are some frustrating quirks about the Lotus, but I've been reticent to deal with the quirks of any other portable vape at the expense of vapor quality. I chose the Nano because I wanted power and efficiency, I refuse to leave that at the door when I go out.

Final point: While the Lotus has great vapor and is nearly indestructible, the number one reason for owning it and why I chose it as my Nano companion before trying it: it has an amazing price point. $150 for the Stem+WPA kit is excellent and it has everything you need to get the most out of your Lotus. I'm not a big fan of j-hooks, but that option is also there and is even cheaper. Its bang:buck ratio is out of sight.

Hi, casual lurker here, but I've suddenly been pushed into the market (my underdog stopped working) and I have some questions, hoping maybe someone here can shed some light for me. (and I'm very sorry if I'm breaking some rule here, but I just cant seem to make myself read ALL 4xx pages of this post)
So, here the questions are:

1. What exactly is a 'standard' stem (says it comes with it, but I can't find it by itself on the site unless its the 'honeycomb glass' one that has no picture) and how is it different from the 'adjustabowl' stem? What happens if you want more than one?

2. I've decided I really want to try using water, which is one of the things steering me to the Nano. However, I don't really understand the GonG lingo, so, what exactly would I need to attach the nano to a small waterpipe? Just that one piece (adjust-a-bowl) ? I've seen adaptors mentioned but no idea if I would need one or not.
(http://www.dhgate.com/store/product/d020-d-bubbler-glass-water-percolator-smoking/187214099.html is the glass I was looking at because it looks like it might be stable enough to balance the nano on? I realize there are probably better choices for glass but I don't really want to make a big investment if I'm not even sure I like it yet, and I just want to keep it simple. (suggestions for a different bubbler/pipe would be welcome too, but for right now, price IS an object)

3. Is the lifetime FC warranty still being offered? Is 24/7 operation a deal breaker for the warranty if it does still exist?

I am also curious about the reward point system, is that still actually in effect? Also am very curious / interested in the screen maker I saw posted in this thread (somewhere, skipping around) Is that still happening /going to happen?

1. It comes with one of these stems http://epicvape.com/shop/index.php?route=product/product&path=62_64_72&product_id=93

Order as many as you like

2. I also have the D020-D, it goes great with the Nano. You'll need the 18mm GonG. http://epicvape.com/shop/index.php?route=product/product&path=62_64_72&product_id=53

3. You get the lifetime warranty if you order direct from from epicvape.com and use the 10% off code FCLOVE at checkout. As far as I know the amount of use or time you leave the unit on has no effect on the Warranty.

1. standard stem is a thick glass tube with a silicone heat shield and a basket screen. The screen can be adjusted to change load amount and distance from heater. Comes with 2.

2. To attach to a WP you need an adaptor. (gonG). This is a glass piece with an adjustable screen and a Glass on Glass joint to adapt to a waterpipe. The size of the glass joint depends on your WP.

3. Use Discount FCLOVE for 10% off AND Lifetime Warranty. Use it "as often and long as you like".

IDK about rewards system.

Well... Very quick answers! However you both gave sort of different answers :D Is the 'adjust-a-bowl' stem the standard? I don't see anything about silicone sleeves on there, so I'm thinking not the same thing?
ty ty on the info about the pipe!

Just to clarify, I need to know the right things to buy, as I will definitely need more than one, because I'm a klutz and will most assuredly break at least one. Are the 'basket screens' for use in both types assuming they're different?

The "Standard" stem is a straight tube with a basket screen and used for the 'direct draw' method - as in no waterpipe/bubbler, plain dry vaporizing. There is no silicone on that stem. I personally do not use that - mine is sitting in it's original packaging unused!

You will need to purchase a 14mm or 18mm "adjust-a-bowl" adapter if you wish to pair the Nano with water (which is where the Nano really shines in my opinion). The most common size is 18mm, so I suggest you buy that.

You will also want to pick up a spare 5 pack of basket screens

The only difference is he said he got 2, now I feel bad I only got 1 with mine. But my link goes to the adjust-a-bowl which is the one with the moveable basket screen. This stem is not for water use.

The basket screens are interchangeable. I recommend getting a 5-pack of them when you order. And the 18/19mm GonG for the D020-D Pipe. That's what you need to buy.

My straight stems did come with the silicone sleeves. I just got my nano a couple weeks ago. It came with 2 straight stems.

Thank you

Ugh but I can't figure out how to order the five pack ... It SAYS 5pack, but isn't clickable, and adding five to the cart just charges me for all five, rather than the buy four get one free five pack deal .... suggestions?

You're making me think I'm really gonna like the water :D

With water I can get up to 7.75 on the dial (Usually a bit less). That's approaching 240C which is about tops for vaping with the screen at the right depth. I can't do that without water. That opens up alot of your herb that your not getting at the lower temps. If that's something you desire.

To be perfectly honest, I always thought ... done is done? You're saying if you turn up the temp after you're done there is still something in it? Interesting, and I guess I'll find out if its something I desire or not.

Lol, yes you can turn the temp up all the way to combustion if you desire. When I first started, I was running at 7 to 7.25. But I really didn't care for the effects, I started to not enjoy vaporizing (GASP!). So I turned the temp down. Now I rarely go to 7 unless its late at night and I'm in the mood to veg out.
