Oh, I love it! I don't do it justice in that video. It's so easy and convenient to hit. But I needed a wispy hit because this damn contest has me so fucking wasted already! You can really milk it and get a big and gentle hit with it that has TONS of flavor. And they are so tiny together... a cute combo.

Perfect gift for a lady vaporist...

You know how when you buy a pipe you LOVE... that you just constantly stare at it with googly eyes? That's how I feel about my ERRLD. :luv:

Give me a little time and.... I might feel that way about my Nano! It's certainly off to a great start...

EDIT:

Damn, treecity. Took a closer look at your video and that is some sexy percolation you got goin' on over there!
EDA, I honestly already feel that way about the Errld. I keep going back to look at it :p

Treecity, how the -F- did I miss your Matrix video the first time around? Good show.
I also have an Aqua Vape and have been wondering how to make it work with the Nano just for shits and giggs. But... yeah, I'm not sure the best way to go about it. Maybe one of the experts around here can share a little wisdom...
Shouldn't be too hard to rig up some tubing.

Oh. I was thinking she didn't want any tubing when I read it... but yeah, I suppose just any thicker tubing would work... I've got plenty of UD silicone stems that would work for me.

Another fun Nano combo!

EveryDayAmnesiac,
So after using my Nano extensively over the weekend, including in the car (I spent a LOT of time driving over the weekend and didn't want to sacrifice valuable bonding time with my Nano), I have a few questions...

When I first started using the direct draw stem I burnt myself at least 5 times in the first 10 minutes of using it from the glass heating up. I don't do it much anymore but just to be safe and also to protect unaware and medicated friends, is there a way to rig something so I can't get burned? I was thining maybe putting a piece of silicone over the tip but I don't know if it will fit or where to even get the silicone. Any advice?

Also, I'm in desperate need of a screen because I'm getting tons of scooby snacks but I'm not really sure where to get them. Amazon has them but they seem to be in large quantities such as 100 count.

Some silicone would work, but even when I'm touching right where the screen is (outside the glass), it's rarely hot enough on normal temps to 'burn' me. Easy solution is to always grip higher :)

I always buy screens in large quantities. Trust me, five screens isn't enough and you'll eventually need more anyways.

For people considering using silicone stems with this vape, the heater port works better with 5/16" ID tubing than 3/8" ID tubing (the one UD's use). Both will work, but the 3/8" ID seals further down the heater port, at the spot where the diameter of the heater port is slightly larger.

Good point for sure, the design was changed from beta to production. So while 3/8" was a snug fit previously, the SS tube is now a little different. Unfortunately no way to go back and change previous posts recommending 3/8.

OK, Scotty or Toros, can you share thoughts as to why the port shrunk? Are you saying the heat exchanger has walls that slope outward slightly? Silicone tubing is sorta pricey, but I have friends that destroy glass, so I need a silicone buffer to lessen the odds.

You should probably contact the maker for the answer. I am guessing it was to create a stop for a roasting tube or GonG to rest on without crushing the loaded material. A good thing IMO.

I think 3/8" ID should still work fine though, just not as tight a seal and no stop for glass tubes.

So now I had this "vision" of a GonG herb "basket" for the Nano, with my Aqua Vape inline on the other side, and I just pick up the nano to draw...
Only issue would be getting the water into the AV, without getting the herb basket end wet... but, that would be tubing free.

I think the UD tubing would fit the AV end... but will it slip over the glass stems I'm getting?

I've got a production unit, and you're right. It also makes less outside air get in.

@hitnrun, the heat exchanger does not slope outward. Rather, it is slightly thinner at the top half-inch where you insert the stem. The rest of the core is ever-so-slightly wider, I'd say half a millimeter larger in radius, I could not tell with my naked eye that it was wider. I also can't tell if there is a metal sheath around the core, or if the two areas of the core are actually two different pieces. I hope that helps.

btw if you're looking around for 5/16" silicone tubing, check out vaporstore. If you want the 3/8", check out UD Dave's website or 'morebeer.com'. The latter is a homebrewing website which has better prices than usplastics.com (wholesale), free shipping, and you're not forced to buy 10 or 50 foot intervals like tubing wholesalers. But Dave you can trust to treat you right, like most of these log inventors. I would not expect a homebrew company to hook me up like he has, or do something like give a free gong stem when pre-orders lagged like Andy.

Thanks for the info. I've got one coming, along with extra glassware. But I'd like to look into "protecting" the glass, somewhat, and had been stymied by the quantities & cost. Thanks, again, for the alternate sources.

Thanks for all of the help guys!

What I was planning for the silicone though, is putting a small piece over the tip of my glass stem where it usually tends to burn people rather than using the silicone as an actual stem. I vape at high temps (7-7.5) and it seems if the stem is left on the vape for 10+ sec it gets really hot. Do you know what size I would need for that or would the 5/16" work?

I'm planning on buying Andy's new pinch stem and a gong so maybe once I get it I'll put some videos up with my water pipe :)

Before I order though, what are the opinions on the $23 all gong vs. the $13 one? If the $13 gong works then I would rather just get that. Can't afford to pay extra on my college student budget if it's not needed!

Since this is my first vape I have refrained from writing a review because I don't really have anything to compare it to but does anyone think it would be helpful to potential buyers to have a sort of outsider's opinion?

Obviously, if I'm asking the same type questions, I wouldn't know the answer... but, 5/16" and 3/8" are inside diameters, which would not be large enough to go outside. I'd guess you'd need at least 1/2" ID tubing to use like you want, and once I get my glassware I'll use a caliper to get you an exact measure if someone doesn't post that info sooner.

So, today I decided to give the E-Nano a go with my Evolver HydraTree and the GonG attachment. After previous failed attempts of this, I decided today was the day to do it.

I put it on 6 and packed it very loosely about .15. Holy shit, this thing is a beast. I can't believe the flavor, and density of the hits I got. Amazing. This thing continues to amaze me. Great great product.

You'll be fine with the $13 one. I'll send you a piece of silicone tube when you order a new stem. The ID of the silicone is 3/8"

So, when using my Nano, I notice I inhale for longer, but don't feel any warmth in my throat, and I don't really feel the hit all that much, but it's there when I exhale. When I hit my UD, I can feel the heat and the hit right away. Is this because the Nano's air is more "free flowing" ? Or am I still learning how to draw correctly?

Also, the Nano seems less prone to "dark spots" ?

May I assume that, for the record, you just forgot to say, "Not that there's anything wrong with that"?
I'd take it as a complete positive, and each post you make just heightens my anticipation while I await Andy's efforts on my behalf.

Yes, I certainly didn't mean it as a negative. I'm still just "getting a feel" for it and the draw speed and the right temp and all that. I think I'm just overcompensating going from the UD to the Nano.

I want to make it clear I have nothing negative to say about the Nano itself. This thing is sweet, and if it weren't so hectic here I'd be working on a "noob review." It's a "frickin AWE-some" little device.

But we're still "getting to know" each other...

YES. This is exactly why I'm using the Nano more for direct draw these days. I HAD to start using some of my other vapes with water filtration because my throat was getting dry and irritated.

This is week... four (?) now on primarily direct draw, with zero issues so far.

I never really do much direct draw, but I am finding it enjoyable with the Nano and its glass tube. Spending almost all my time between 5 & 6. Surprising how much just a half turn, even a quarter turn, can affect the temp. And the temperature change happens really quickly. Getting to like the Nano and its versatility more and more!
