I never had a problem leaving my SUPER NANO on high heat for long periods of time, and a setting of 10 is a non-issue! Use your favorite mineral or coconut oil or Ed's TnT Bomb Ass Butter to keep your Nano fresh & beautiful. ENJOY!!!
Hey @Snappo, since you are the resident wood expert, is beeswax also suitable to treat the wood of the Enano? I have a cherry model if that makes a difference

Yes, I bought some bars of beeswax from Amazon for my walnut. Really brought out a rich deep color. Also I put some in the potpourri dish that came with my solo and put it on the nano. Beeswax aromatherapy between sessions.

I hope not ! I've left mine on all night before at 10... Woke up in the morning went downstairs..... :o

 It may dry out the wood excessively, but it won't harm your vape. Buff it with some unscented mineral oil or beeswax (or Ed's Bomb Ass Butter) if you want to condition the wood. Otherwise, your vape is still good to go.

Thanks for the "heads" up.

Yes!!! Beeswax is a very commonly used base medium and stand-alone product for revitalizing and preserving wood treatments. Use it with confidence!

I also have the Cherry and use beeswax on mine per earlier recommendations. Love it, it smells amazing. You'll probably want to make sure it's pure and high grade. I bought a 1lb block from Amazon for like $14 and it'll probably last as long as the Nano itself. Plus now I can stop all those old drawers in the kitchen from squealing and squeaking when I open them.

Question:

How often do you guys/gals polish your enano with beeswax? I'm typically once a week, is that too much, too little?

Mine is on 6.5 - 7.0 nonstop from 5pm-10pm M-F, and a good portion of the day(s) on the weekend.

So would once a day be no problem? Interesting. I ask because it is kind of zen, and I've been finding myself doing it more these past few days.

A reverse question. How long do you think you could get away with no wax? I ask because I've turned a few of my friends onto the enano, so should I tell them "hey, you need to do this."?

And thanks for the feedback @Snappo.

Even once a day OR MORE should never be a problem IME - the wood will not degrade or soften in any way - do it all you want if it helps you to relax and admire your Nano even more! You can get away with no wax almost indefinitely, but regular or every-once-in-a-while applications will be much healthier for a more lustrous and crack-resistant treasure that is the E-Nano!

Man, when I applied it I made a mess. I wouldn't want to do that more than once every couple weeks.

This is just my experience but I used a cherry PD for over 4 years. I waxed it with the buzz wax that came with it once or twice a month. After 3 years it was darker than walnut and after the 4th year it was almost so dark you could hardly see the grain. It could be different for other woods but you guys with the might want to think about that. I have a walnut nano and I'm going to limit the waxing as much as possible.

Cherry wood darkens as it ages, and is exposed to sunlight. I have a cherry floor in my home, and you can see where my rugs have been blocking the sunlight, and the rest of the floor has darkened considerably. So it could be a combination of wax and sunlight that has darkened your PD?

One trick I've learned in wood working is to set cherry wood outside for a day or two in direct sunlight to get a darker, more rich looking piece when finishing naturally. I'm sure there are other species that share this same characteristic with cherry, maybe @Snappo can spread more knowledge on the subject?

My golden white teak burl nano is beautiful, but it wouldn't upset me if it too darkens or richens up with age.

Hmmm... sorry, I can only speculate that perhaps the cherry and walnut varieties of wood are somewhat less dense and are as a result more sensitive to environmental conditions such as light (decarb or oxide process of some sort???). The routine application of wax may also play a part in the tonal darkening/richening process, but really IDK. I doubt that very dense exotic woods like Afzelia, Golden White Teak, and Amboyna change in shade similarly.

Sigh my experiences with epicvape have been extremely disappointing so far. I do not plan on buying anything else from their website unless its absolutely essential, even if its essential I would still question myself if its even worth it to take the risk. First my walnut nano I purchased on a monday did not get to my place until a saturday when it was in the same state, and since I had to move that friday it costed me $26 in shipping just to get it to my apartment.

But now after finally getting my nano and everything together I decided I wanted the all glass GonG, I placed the order tuesday and received it today and found that I did not receive what I ordered. So now I am stuck for another week with two adjustable GonG's while I wait for the all glass I had actually ordered.

I understand mistakes happen but come on if you cannot handle your two man operation hire some more people, these mistakes can't keep happening its extremely disappointing as a new buyer to have my first two orders be a giant mess.

I understand this whole situation will most likely be fixed with a new glass GonG being sent to me, but I was extremely excited to try the new GonG. The screens in the adjustable are honestly pretty garbage, if I line up my screen with the notch it falls out pretty damn easily.

I lined up the two GonG's and realized the initial one I was sent is much smaller than the new one I received, so it also looks like Andy took the time to provide a malfunctioning GonG with my initial Walnut purchase. I only figured this out while I was typing this long post...

Sorry EpicVape you have given be a horrible user experience, sure the nano is a solid vaporizer but I have never had this many problems even with ebay sellers.

The E-Nano is sealed with shellac then polished with a Carnauba wax. I rarely wax mine. If you spend enough time with your E-Nano she'll let you know when she's ready for a waxing. Because shellac reacts to alcohol and citrus, you should avoid using any polish that contains either.
Most other 'Log' vapes are sealed with just a wax or wax blend and thus need more frequent waxing.

I think part of the problem is that some people put themselves in bad or unfortunate situations - often due to not looking before leaping. Sounds like not too pleasant of an experience, but didn't see any new info that couldn't be found in this thread (I think all in the last 15 - 20 pages). Delayed shipping due to limited staff? Check (and, from what we've seen here still within the stated ship time). Short GonGs lately? Check (have been holding off to get another myself). Mix ups on glass? Check.

Moral of the story? Do a little research, especially if you're short on time and pushing til last minute. Makes it easy to know if your expectations are in line with experiences of others. Nothing's perfect - especially at this price point.

Only things that really struck me were about the screens (and adjust-a-bowls I assume) being garbage and cost to ship it forward. Haven't had a new screen in a while so not sure how they are looking these days, but if it's loose (and you can't figure out how to spread it a little yourself) there are a few posts giving suggestions. And, for $26 I think I could ship a nano to Australia!

Sorry for any harshness here, and hope no upset about it. Reached my limit for ignoring whiny posts, and couldn't keep my fingers off the keyboard any longer. Also hoping this will prevent the expected gripe next week about the all glass screen letting fine material through. If that happens, don't grind so fine or use an SS screen on top of glass.

Yeah.... I'm often one and still amazed by those who make me seem not so much so by comparison!

So if I understand correctly, there are improved GonGs available now? I got my nano about 3 weeks ago and I think I got the short one as there isn't much adjustment without the screen falling out. It's kind of wonky when you sit the nano on it. New ones are better?

I did my research and ordered on a monday at like 10 am with the two day shipping option, he said most orders in stock ship out within 48 hours so thats not my fault.

I ordered after the fact he stated he fixed the short GonG problem as well so its my fault for ordering it after he said he was fixing it...? and the mix up on the glass is an accident but you cant blame me for complaining about 3 problems I encountered within my first two weeks with the company.

I love how you all just consider my complaints all my fault, I had nothing to do with any of the problems and don't see how blame can be put upon myself. Sure the whole nano shipping could have been planned better but thats it, nothing else could have been fixed by doing anything on my end.

I mean sure, I was just stating my complaints on a THREAD DEDICATED to the vaporizer. Im sorry that my experience was not the same as yours, I wish I could be happy like you but I guess Im some piece of shit because my experience with a company was different.

This whole forum can never take any bad comments about your vaporizer or the company behind it, this thread is meant for discussion and apparently most users here cannot seem to understand that bad things happen to people and I just wanted to voice my concerns. Sure your experience was great but put yourself in my shoes now when I am $60 over my original budget and don't even have what I ordered originally except the nano itself.
