with help from the guys on this forum and this thread I have managed to use google images to look through some members pictures and kinda get an answer to my questions about j hook with e nano and an ash catcher.
so last night i decided to order the dh gate j hooks and a little ash catcher. this will be my beginner's set up and all going well next few months ill up grade the j hooks and eventually a better ash catcher if I like the experience.
ill post pics once received as I couldnt find the exact pics I wanted and will hopefully help the next nano'ist with j hooks etc.
I didnt know and was quite surprised but if you enter fuck combustion in to google image search with the members name u are searching for with keywords brings up all their picture posts (well most) newb here but might help others.
love the nano cant wait to try it with the j hook let alone with my d-020. still waiting on reducers from dh gate. updated to say sent to GB!!! so getting there :-)

I've decided on an e-nano for my first desktop vape, and am considering grabbing a GonG to go with (off of Epicvape). I'm new to vaporbonging though, and am not sure if I need to buy anything else besides the GonG.
Can someone let me know what else I would need besides the vape/GonG? I've been looking, but there's a mountain of info out there and I don't want to overcomplicate things; I'm really just looking for a bare-bones setup to get started. Thanks

, but that's about it. I recommend picking up a pack or two of extra screens just in case.And if you are interested in keeping your glass clean, check out the RezBlock thread in the glass section. I highly recommend RezBlock (Cranberry extract) for anybody using glass. Saves so much time and energy trying to keep your Pipe clean.

Extra. I bought extra stems and screens anticipating that at some point I'll break one, then be sad while I wait for replacements. I haven't needed either yet, but one can't predict Murphy. It's also been suggested a few times to grab an extra cord, too, so you aren't stuck in one room. That's something I'll probably pick up on my next order.

A bubbler (and maybe a spare GonG) is about all you'll need. I prefer 18mm (sometimes called 19mm, actually 18.8mm). Seems most others are going this way for vaping, and many cheaper pieces are this size.
If you don't mind waiting a few weeks for a bubbler from China, they're very cheap and also functional. The standard "first piece" for many is the D020, or D020-D if you're looking for a little more volume. D020 can be had here, and D020-D here. There are literally hundreds of others on DHGate. This vendor (sunshinestore) is a pretty reliable one and has a good rep on FC.
If neither of those particularly appeal to you, check out the Cheap, high quality bubbler?? thread. It is huge, but full of good info. The link is to about 20 pages back from now. Probably a good place to start.
If you're more anxious or reluctant to buy from China, some of the same glass can be had from US resellers for a few more $ (about 2x - 3x). Also, can pick up some decent US blown glass pieces for $100 - $150. Ask here or feel free to PM me for other suggestions on either.
Also... always a good idea to use the search function or go back a few pages in a thread with any questions. Think this one just came up a few days ago and was responded to here, along with probably about 100 more times in this thread.

For anyone using the dry stem or GonG, a really good and quick/easy way to get it sparkling clean, is to take the tube it comes in, put a little coarse sea salt int he bottom, put the glass in it, shake it so it gets inside the tube, then put some more salt in the top, and fill halfway with 91+% iso alcohol. Cap it and shake. HOLD THE CAP!
Forgot that one time and the glass stem flew out into tile and shattered
Anyway, the iso will turn brown, and after about 20 seconds of shaking, pour it out, and rinse with water. Then just take the glass out and rinse it. It'll be sparkling clean. The basket screen will be pretty clean too. At least the part that matters. Just make sure you rinse it out well, and dry it before sitting it on a nano with water droplets in it.
You'll probably need to re-adjust your basket screen depth after this as the salt/iso shake can move it around a bit.
Pure iso soaks are good, but without any mechanical cleaning action (abrasion from the salt or a brush), the thin layer that makes the piece smell and look cloudy will still build up.

I'll be ordering today. I'll probably grab a 14mm + 19mm GonG to go with, as I'll be taking this to friends' houses every now and then and want to cover all my bases. Will reply back after I've tried the E-nano. Cheers + thanks for the help, mates!

No worries, and no harm in asking. Putting that out there for others as much as you. Just a tip.... when you use the search function (upper right of every page) you can select to just search the link you're in. Can find much more info, much quicker without having to read the whole 385 pages. Holy shit... 385 pages! Damn this thread moves!

I'm surprised that has been your experience with the gong. Perhaps you got a misshapen one..?
They are normally adjustable to a pretty good degree, considering the fact that 0.03 can be an entire load, which means you don't need much of a depth change. The stock glass stems are nice for sure, and give probably the best flavor and densest vapor, but milking a big bubbler a 2-3x with 1/20th of a gram, using the GonG, is an amazing vaporizing experience. So comfortable. All of the flavor and density of the nano, without the harshness from a dry hit with only a few inches between your lips and the heater.
