I don't think that that screen would be an issue.. aside from its distance. Maybe you are inhaling faster with the cleared screen?

Go back and re-measure with the epik and the notch - usually my 0.1G of material is CLOSE or touching the heat when I start my session.
Screens don't "dry out" - they're all metal....... The only thing that might happen is you would get a bit of a carbon taste from torching the screens. As it's been suggested before, if you do torch your screens (which I don't), you should dip your screens in ISO to clean off any burnt residue. But I believe this would affect the taste, not performance of the vape.

I have cleaned with iso and burned screens that are like 7 years old. Haha.
Haha I was really worried for some reason that iso was bad for the screen. I've also dropped my nano a few times but when it heats up it feels pretty hot so I don't think it could be broken right?

I just received my E-Nano today. I unboxed everything and was ready to get vaping. I plugged the power cord into the wall socket and then into the E-Nano. I rolled the on/off/temp dial from zero slowly up to the highest temp. While I was rolling the dial, there was a click around 1 and then a spark shot out the side of the box with the dial on it. I'm assuming there is an AC to DC transformer in this box and that a capacitor blew, but I figured I'd post here to see if I can get some second opinions/fixes. It doesn't heat up, and the light at the bottom doesn't come on.

I definitely agree, usually go a little above 6.5 but when I get my nano back I think Im going to start right below 6 and then bring it up!

Agreed, I will be sending her out tomorrow! I already miss my baby ;( What I didn't expect though is that I just miss my beautiful bit of koa on my windowsill!
After messing with my nano some more I just can't get the clouds from it like I use too. I only ever use dry stem, and vapor only comes out for the first hit no matter how close or how far it is from the heater. I've literally tried everything, and the nano does get really warm but still just doesn't produce vapor almost feels like sucking air a little. Should I try getting it repaired?

What temp are you trying it at? If its still like that at 8 plus and not combusting you might have a problem. Have you tried some different strains with it, I find depending on the strain I get very different vapor production.
Yes 3 differnt strains from when this started. I keep it at 6.5 then to 7 and past 8 it'll just combust still not getting any vapor. Only the first hit or 2 have a little vapor nothing compared to the huge hits I would get a couple days ago

To clarify, you can get combustion at 8 and above? That sounds like a working device to me.
Are you getting the effects of the material even with the lack of vapor (i.e. are you getting high)? I have a few strains that produce very little vapor at any setting, but they still get me high. If I dry them out, I will get more vapor, but the effect seems to be the same regardless of the vapor production.
Have you tried a different screen or a different GonG stem?
It literally happened over night though and when it gets to hot the first hit will combust then the rest of the hits very minimal in vapor. And no not feeling the effects
New screens coming Friday and I have a honey comb stem that I've been try to use it's hitting decent right now which is making me thing the screen might just be bad in the other stem?

Really don't see how that's possible. I've reused my screens plenty of times with no problem. I think something else is going on. Can you show us a picture of how you have your basket installed?

My walnut E-Nano arrived this afternoon. It's just beautiful. I would have waited for a custom exotic, but I ordered this in a nearly emergency situation with greatly increased pain, so I was willing to take what I could get. Well, I couldn't be happier with it. It has a very beautiful variation in the color and grain of the walnut that gives it a lot of depth and a mesmerizing shimmer that plays with the light. I almost suspect that it could have been made with the "scrap" left from a batch of fiddle back exotics, as it does have some of that horizontal banding and shimmery grain in some areas. I cannot wait to see it illuminated by the rising sun tomorrow morning. I'll take photos of my morning vaping nook then.
I've had a Firefly for the past seven months, and although it is an excellent portable, I always knew there had to a way to get the very best flavor and effect without working so darn hard to get there. The very first taste of vapor from the E-Nano was three or four times thicker than anything the Firefly can put out. I was just blown away.
I tried high CBD flowers first and was surprised at how much stronger the pain relief and general relaxation was. Although these are high quality flowers, they are not particularly pungent, but they had a noticeably stronger and distinct taste than I have experienced before.
Then, before dinner I switched to a nice skunk/lemon haze and was completely blown away by the intense perfumey flavor! It tasted like I ate one of my wife's fancy scented candles, except it was good. Then I switched to a blue Hawaiian, but at that point I was simply much more medicated than I intended despite using less than what would fill the Firefly once.
Now, a few hours later I've got some black tar hash sandwiched between some outdoor flowers and I'm marveling at how vaping with this in bed is so easy. To be able to operate this device while laying completely flat on my back is really comfortable, especially when it hurts to roll over.
I want to take photos and talk about it more tomorrow. Thank you to everyone, especially Andy, for making this a reality in my life. It is going to make my life better.
