Anyone else notice a wire or something wire-like just under the screen cover in their nano???

It pops right off, bit tricky to put back but I think worth it to do to remove the little retainer ring. I've been using mine without the ring for months now... someone said earlier in the thread that it helped even out the heat.

What it could be is a shim (a screen is used in mine) to prevent the rattling issue that some members have had.

It's most likely the spring clip I used to use to hold the screen in place. New Nanos don't have them. Heater covers are now made from solid stainless steel rod instead of tube. This allowed the groove for the screen to be cut deeper so the clip is no longer necessary. On a side note the aluminum sleeve is also now machined out of a rod instead of a tube and is one piece.(Used to be two piece) The interior finish is smoother and has a radius at the bottom which makes it easier to keep clean.
Ace of vape, is there a big weight difference between the wooden and other bases?
Yes the wood one weighs in at 2.7oz the aluminum is a hefty 9oz.

Can anyone give me quick pointers on the best way to remove the screen from the vap tube? I guess I use a chopstick (or similar) but do I just push the screen out towards the heat end or down towards the mouth end? I'm not sure if there is a taper in the tube and don't want to wreck my screen if I can help it. Thanks in advance guys.

pushing screen out thru heat end...

Same here but I use a Bamboo Skewer which is much thinner than a chopstick. Sometimes I'll pull the screen up through by shoving the screen against the glass and lifting upward, as I show in the video below:

It is easier to remove the screen if it is heated, so if the stem is cold take a few draws of hot air or let the stem sit on top of the Nano.

I bought mine a few months ago. Is it something I should be worried about?

So the E-Nano has evolved again?? Or do I have this version!?! If this is an upgrade, it's just the excuse I wanted to buy another exotic block of wood from @Snappo

So I got my Nano last week and I have to say I am not blown away .
Let me explain
This may be because of a few factors .
I don't think it is any think to do with the construction of the unit as it works perfectly and is a beautiful device.
Maybe this thread built me up a bit too much . I excepted a decent step up form my Solo and I don't think I got that (my opinion)
And the rest is probably user error .
I have been experimenting with load size and screen placement all week .
I get some decent vapor but nothing special and nothing more than I can get for the Solo .
And for me the plug in does not seem to have any advantage .
I would like to actually know when the unit is up to temp . And would like to have less chance for combustion .
I am not trying to start a debate about this unit at all . I am not trying to be negative and I am not saying it is a bad product.I know many of you enjoy them and that is great .
I would love some advice . But I have read a lot of this thread .
I would love to enjoy this unit as much as everyone else does!

That is really odd that you can't get it to function any better than a solo...if you aren't noticing any improvement over the solo, there either has to be some user error or a problem with the unit (in my humble opinion!). I had a Solo for a couple years and grew to hate/dislike it greatly by the end of my time with it (mainly in part due to the hard draw required on it for inferior sized clouds in comparison to my SSV was a big no no for me), and when I got a nano I was surprised to find out there existed a unit smaller than the Solo that performed (in my opinion) 100% better than my solo ever did and better than my SSV..

Out of curiosity, how far away do your loads sit from the heating element screen? and what temperature setting are you using?

Move load closer to heating element and be sure the nano is completely warmed up. Let it sit at level 10 for 15 minutes, crank it back down to 6.5 or whatever, wait a minute or two for the heat to drop back down, then try again.

Are you using it dry or through water?

HEY @Toastface_Killah Thanks
I thought the same thing about the Solo but now I find myself wanting to use the solo instead ?

I have mover the screen and load to may different spots . Bu I haven't measured it to be exact .
I have been starting at 6.5 and going up after a hit or two and a stir but usually if I get past 7.5 the load is spent. And I cant get anything at a lower temp . Every time I start higher It looks like I combusted (black or almost black chared ABV.

Thanks@Caligula .
I have been warming it up and sometimes I just leave it on for awhile although I don't prefer to .
But I also don't prefer to wait for 10-15 mins every time I want one hit

And I am using it with a bubbler (D020-W-2)
I broke the only stem I got within 10 mins of getting it ( I'm Such and Idiot ) so no dry for me .

I literally leave my nano on at level 5 24/7 unless I'm using it. Been doing this for the better part of a year. These are perfectly fine to leave on. In fact I'd dare say they were designed for this.

Now, make sure the nano is 100% warmed up, set the heat to level 7, move the load close enough to the heating element that it's barely touching the screen, then go to town.

You can also try letting the lead heat soak by putting g the nano on the gong and letting it sit there for a minute or so before inhaling... but I'd leave about 1mm gap between the load and heater if you do this.

Also dry pulling harder on your water tool. You may be still used to hitting it like a Solo.

I would love to just leave it on but I have a tendency to trip over cords and knock things over( iver done it at least once with the nano ) , so its probably not a good idea to leave it on too much .

Maybe I am just not keeping the load close enough . But I keep finding stuff stuck the the heating element and thinking I am combusting .

But I will give this another try this afternoon .

It's gotta just be a matter of user error or technique. Because while that nano was an earlier gen it works flawlessly. Hell I actually think it performed better than my current gen exotic. Just keep refining your technique. You'll get there.

Thanks man .
I have now doubt that it is user error and inflated expectation .
The unit works fine .... and Thanks again .
