That has been my experience so far. In addition to the variables you mentioned, adjusting the distance between the heater and the material can also have a major impact on how different temperatures behave.
Lately I like to have the surface of my material quite close to the heater screen without actually touching it, and as a result my temperature range has skewed down slightly to about 6.8 - 7.5. I have definitely taken it up to 8.5 plenty of times without combustion, but I always adjust my technique accordingly. Usually I prefer to stretch my sessions out a bit, because I enjoy it so much. And to be sure, I do like my ABV good and dark, as fully extracted as I can get it within reason. Especially before bed.
The more I think about it, it's just really hard to quantify a proper technique, because it is a balance of so many variables which are all really difficult to measure. I would liken it to driving a manual transmission. You don't necessarily need to know exactly how the transmission works in order to drive the car exceptionally well -- you just sort of learn to do it by feel. The Nano is like that. It's like a sports car.
My short answer to your question is: Yes, I believe you are right and you will find it really easy to figure out. The Nano is very intuitive because of its simplicity. I hope you get your dimmer soon! Glad to hear your Luke Wilson piece is back in effect.
Perfect Nice to know I won't be combusting, nothing ruins a good vape session like an accidental combustion! Smoke tastes so awful right after nice vapor tastes!
I am most stoked at the Luke Wilson piece being back in action, definitely the best piece I've ever used! Cheers!
