Dynavap VapCap

I was out playing disc golf with my friend and his buddy from work. I had my haze with me and my friends co worker really like it. He was asking about vapes and waiting to buy one. I sent a link to the vapcap to him. I just heard today ge went for it and bought one!!! I'm hoping to get to finally use one soon and compare it first had with the vapman. Anyways thought I would share a positive story about converting smoke to vapors.

Btw these wood vapcaps with different mp are beautiful

A couple questions, apologies in advance if these things have been addressed. There are lots of posts in this thread and I think I've read most of them. I have a glass vc that I use now, and an omni vap on order. My questions:

1. Is there an easy way to make the glass vc or the omni spin independent of its mouth piece? Or another way to turn it while heating with the mouth piece (or some adapter) lodged firmly in a water tool? This was mentioned near some wooden mouth piece porn a few pages back and I love the looks of those wooden mouth pieces, but I'm not clear on what is compatible with what.

2. How much more capacity does the omni have than the glass vc?

This is the reason I am a HUGE fan now of the VC, I camp, hike, and kayak, no batteries or wires to short out if I get it wet in rain or if I flip my kayak. I do keep more than one torch lighter in my backpack or kayak dry box just in case one runs out of butane or the igniter takes a poop on me.



Hi Maggie, I ordered a VonG too, in Blackwood to match my Blackwoody Ti. Did you choose the Blackwood or Cocobolo wood?

I ordered the woody in blackwood but the vong in cocobolo so I could have contrasting colors.

Just found this short review of the Omnivap on youtube:

He is concerned with possible glass or titanium particles shredding off between the mouthpiece and the body and the turning mechanism pushing the mouthpiece out instead of in - which you have to push in manually.

It seems that the mouthpiece pushing out when you turn it resolved the issue of possible shredding. So it's not really an issue.
I think ultimately most people will adjust it and leave it for the most part, so those concerns wouldn't be a big issue for most people. What do other Omnivap users think of his critiques?

Thats me! But yeah, I just had some short thoughts of what I would change/improve. Not really a review, at that time I only had it for a few days.

Has anyone modded/grooved the top of their vapcap bowl in the same style as PVS solo stem below.

An issue Ive noticed when the cap bottoms out on the glass stem ,my airflow greatly decreases,just like what happens in the bottom of the solo oven sometimes.
I have to just nudge the digger outer, and the cap forward a fraction to get my airflow back.

I'm thinking if I cut maybe 4 dremel notches into the end of the glass it would not require manual positioning of the cap and airflow should be solid even when the glass is pushed home.i think it will make my sessions foolproof.

Had to take apart my woodie for cleaning.

When reassembling, how do you keep the inner gasket from sliding up against the second gasket at the tip of the condenser? Is there a specific spot it is supposed to be? or is anywhere behind the carb hole sufficient?

IIRC, my condenser tube on my Ti woody had a groove almost in the middle, that's where the middle gasket should be at.

I did notice both of his critiques when I got mine. On the adjusting airflow note I isn't much of a trouble to have to push it in for me, if there is a way to remove the need then the OV would be that much better but as of now I have no problem. The shredding mentioned I haven't seen much of from the glass or the titanium body rather what happened for me was with the titanium body the sharp edges of
the hole can tear the o-ring if not careful but I think it might be fixed in the final run.

On a side note I'm on vacation currently and can't wait to get back to my vap. Damn USA needs to hurry and legalize.

Mine does the same thing when you adjust the airflow. The mouthpiece pushes up when I close the airpath. I just push it back down. I really don't think its much of an issue because I dont see fine scratches, or feel the resistance I would expect to, if metal was rubbing against itself.

I'm guessing George is probably slightly pushing the body and the cap side into the mouthpiece side when turning to adjust it, because when he does it, what @smokeydabear and @bounce5 mention doesn't happen

Yes I see that groove, but it is so slight that it does not have enough resistance to keep the gasket in place when you try to push the condenser into the wood stem. The gasket ends up sliding up against the bottom gasket.

Try moistening the gasket before inserting the condenser into the wood body.
Mine was doing this a little, but was fine once wet.

Yeah, I sprung for an Omnivap as well, which means I'm awaiting two preorder vapes now. O_o

@BabyFacedFinster perhaps a sleeve which fits over the condenser and inside the stem with some form of lubricant. Similar situation as I had with screen clip seating. Sit the ring in it's groove on the condenser, dry fit, and push the ring into the wood using the sleeve. The MP ring can be pushed in after. Probably worth cutting down the sleeve so you can make sure the condenser stays in it's place.

I think I've all about given up with the single jet. I seem to get a better, more even bake with the spread the triple gives and no need to move the flame back and forth. The single reminds me of the localized heat needed to cut steel. I will empty the tank so I can say at least I gave it a fair go.

Good thing there are very few Hard and Fast rules in regards to what torch to use. I prefer the single flame 'power brand' torch pictured above or my vapman torch over my double or triple flame ones, they take a few more seconds to reach the click but work much better for me.

Yup, I first ordered a Ti woody, then I ordered an OG glassy, then I pre-ordered an OmniVap, now I ordered a VonG Ti woody!
If I can get some clean concentrates from someone I can trust that knows about concentrates locally, I'm jumping in on that gorgeous DynastashER to tote my concentrates when I go fishing or camping. VAS strikes again!

Still loving my OG VC and anxiously awaiting my Ti Woody. Decided to add a few things to my order.

This isn't hard to do and George was quick to let me know how. Just go to "Contribute to the Cause" in the Shop section, add the amount for new items, and write a note in the checkout section that says what your order # is and what you want for the money you're sending. Pretty cool and simple!

No wonder things are going a little slower with orders.... 2 weeks since my original order and my new order number is almost 200 higher than the first (181 specifically)!

Maybe I'm still in the honeymoon phase but since receiving this simple $30 dingus on Friday my far more expensive Crafty and Solo have not been touched.

The amount of money I stand to save in herbs with the efficiency gains are incredible. Just vaped the smallest pinch of Haze imaginable (probably 1/3 what I'd load in a Solo or 1/4 a Crafty bowl) in 2 hits and I'm feeling it far more than I "should". Session was over in about 1/10th the time of those vapes too.

I'm seriously considering cancelling my Zion pre-order and grabbing either a Woody or an Omni instead.
