Good Sir, as a fellow enano owner, how does the bowl size/efficiency compare to the nano? do you feel you get more effects off a single nano or vapcap bowl?

The VC is a lot of fun right now. When I manage to time it right and use the torch correctly then I get huge clouds. I love it with my waterpipe. It is very efficient, probably equal in this factor to the nano for me. The VC's bowl is smaller. It is also a great portable and the ability to take the joint-like VC on the road is a major plus.

The nano is still my favorite vaporizer. It is stupid-proof and gives you the exact same results every time. Those results are outstanding. I have never come close to charring the herb with the nano. I wish I didn't have to worry about the clumsy cord and the long heat up time, but the nano still wins out.

I have always said that it is unfair to compare a portable to a plug-in. Apples/oranges.

:clap:Hi happy owners of a vapcap!!
I've ordered a omnivap and i just have to wait. But please more videos!
And, i ´d like to hnow,do you have a nice brown abv:brow: or a strong black abv?:sherlock:

Well since it's a butane it all depends on what you want. Sometimes i'll want more flavor so i'll go low temp, and get light vapor with light brown buds. When I want high temp the abv gets a nice dark brown color like coffee (smells like it too!). Honestly I love how in control the user can be w/ the vapcap. Im still trying out different techniques but I like to check the load in between heat cycles to see how the bud is browning.

I like my AVB really dark, that's about 5 cycles on my Ti woody. I definitely can taste that my bud is spent on the 5th cycle, the harsher taste is what i'm looking for, once I taste it I stop. I think i've read most Ti woody owners stop at the 4th cycle.

Woohoo! George put up the VonG's up on his website, I ordered the Blackwood, this is going to work out great for my huge hands, it will make holding my VapCap feel like a cigar rather than a toothpick in my gigantic paws. I'll probably never use the VonG like it was intended for in a bubbler.

The VonG Ti Woody will end up my home vape, the OmniVap and OG will be my new portable vapes.

If God is the answer, then the question is wrong
About torch lighter: I get best results with OV with a triple torch at max power, barely touching with the lesser bright flame the middle low cap while turning it (near the digger outer), at 2nd or 3rd cycle smoke as dense vapor and light brown abv.

And as for my good enano they say: less is better, airy load works better than compacted one

My OV condenser is set with an airflow that is more restricted than my OG, quite a bit, but way more airy than carb closed, and as for @Iamlarrytoo once I found my spot I did not change it

Edit: the wong stem is amazing! + 1 for a combo offer: wong stem in addiction to ti woody full vpcap :-)

Fine particles pass through the VapCaps inner screen. It's been advised to use a 'nugget ' instead of ground.

I press the pollen into nickel sized cakes, and then cut it into chunks, would this work or just gunk up the vapcap? As far as general herb grinding goes I like ground herbs in the vapcap...finely ground, I put a screen in the mouthpiece to filter out an particular particles.

Off to find this lighter, lol, and I thought "Vaporizer Acquisition Syndrome" was only a vape thing, it turns out it happens with lighters too! :D

Thanks! :)
L(ighter)AS, or T(orch)AS affect us all in our own way; no one is safe once butane enters their life.

BTW, whoever recommended torching the cap clean -- THANKS! So fast, so clean. I've had my OG for ages and only now dropped it on something that left a gross residue. but I was surprised at how quick and easy it torched clean with a little care. Regular use DEFINITELY did not clean it; I suspended the cap on a dab tool and it would torch clean super fast without the glass as a heatsink!

I've had my OG VC for a few months now and it's mostly not being used.

I find the restriction even with the carb hole open akin to sucking a golf ball through a hose.
I tried moving the ceramic screen up a little off the top of the condenser tube to see if that will make a difference to airflow..With the carb hole closed there is virtually no inhalation possible and that's with an empty bowl.so I've worked out there is virtually no air entering between the cap and glass
is this normal.i feel I'm missing out as so many people love theirs.

Maybe the VC uses pressure to pull vapor from the bowl and air is never meant to circulate inside the bowl??.....in other words, the carb air sucks the the accumulated vapor from the bowl through pressure to the users mouth. This thing has me boggled no doubt and I've worked out every vape I've owned up to now maybe apart from the coil which I found a bit unpredictable and commuted on occasion.

I use Santa shredder grind with carb open fully .the load cooks in two hits usually with not much visible vapor.

It's Saturday morning here and I've figured it's a good day to look into sorting out my VC issues.

Any help to get this vape into my line up would be appreciated.

Edit my setup

Since I plugged my carb and stopped having to futz with it I don't notice the restriction but I don`t have my ceramic screen yet, does it noticeably decrease the draw compared to just a ss screen?

Maybe the VC uses pressure to pull vapor from the bowl
Sounds like you've figured out what's up. There are actually a lot of factors that seem to have an effect on your experience with the vapcap. My different length condensers make a difference, as does the diffuser used (my OG-OG SS is very different from the ceramic), the torch, the method you use for heating the cap, whether or not you feather/close the carb, and the intensity of your inhalation.

Hey thanks.

I get headaches right at the back of my head when I have too much restriction during inhalation.I can do a session with a restrictive vape but I won't return to it for the following session.I didn't notice the restriction with the solo so much if that's anything to go by.

Should there be a gap between the condenser tube and the ceramic screen?

I have tried adjusting the gap between the ceramic screen and the condenser with two lengths of 7mm Dowling from nothing to maybe 2mm to see if that makes a difference.

My latest test is removing the ceramic screen altogether and adding a thick 8mm SS screen to aid airflow.

For reference My cap clicks in 6 seconds or so with a triple torch.

Would love to get this thing going good.it has such a tiny profile.

I was just checking out the new wooden vong on the website. They look fucking awesome.

The website says they have the same innards as the woodies only the different shaped wood body.

Can you pull the woodie portion off the titanium center and slip on a vong wood body? If so, I wonder if George would just sell the wooden vong outer case as an accessory to the regular woodie?

Does the DynaStash work well as a dugout? AKA, jamming and twisting the VC into super compacted herbs in the dugout slot?

Also, does the DynaStash fit the wooden TIs with fancy wooden drip tips?

A follow up to this mornings post about a no go vapcap.

I'm pretty pleased with the results.what a nice heavy one hitter haha.Just a little surgery and the morning testing was fun.

I got my vapcap revolving in a drill chuck and took a cheap flat diamond file to the section where the cap slides on.
I took enough glass away to allow airflow under the cap into the top of the heating chamber, enough to allow some convection. The cap sits loosely snug with the glass and won't fall off..I then rinsed off,I now have great airflow under the cap into the heating chamber.

I m in a really mellow space right now after a few really thick hits.proper full on conduction with convection powering things up on the backburner.almost yellow hits in the shadows under the sunlight Man oh Man.

I ve added some tape to the air inlet and put a hole in the tape with a toothpick to lower the airflow through the carb hole and balance out the airflow in and out of the vape.

Damn it works well.

Funny I had an email from George after he saw my post (thanks mate)and he asked me if I had a ground glass VC,so I replied no but the ground glass idea for the bowl just grew from there. Its crazy how things work out sometimes.have a great time guys and ladies too:)

Sorry about the crappy pic but you get it.

I've taken out the ceramic screen and added an 8mm SS screen instead. It works so well I'm not inclined to change if for now.

Nice mods!

FWIW, I've found using very small nuggets instead of ground opens up the airflow to where I like it.

Instead of tape on the outside, I use a small piece of rolling paper glued to the inside of the carb. Have laid in two different ones so far. Instead of poking a hole, I let dry after gluing, then pull the cap and put my finger over the end and take a good draw. The vacuum makes the paper loosen in one little spot so it works like a little disposable paper valve.

Hey all, I just ordered a vapcap. Keen to give it a go. Currently on the Mighty.
From one end of the price range to the other.
I like the idea of not being restricted by batteries for camping etc...
Peace

This is the reason I am a HUGE fan now of the VC, I camp, hike, and kayak, no batteries or wires to short out if I get it wet in rain or if I flip my kayak. I do keep more than one torch lighter in my backpack or kayak dry box just in case one runs out of butane or the igniter takes a poop on me.

I'm waiting for my woody. Added to my order the body of the new vong which is interchangeable with the ti woody so I can have both. I use my glass one with water and an adapter but the wood ones are just so beautiful.

Hi Maggie, I ordered a VonG too, in Blackwood to match my Blackwoody Ti. Did you choose the Blackwood or Cocobolo wood?

Got my OG yesterday. Why didn't I order one of these before?

It has the efficiency of my vapman but the learning curve is so much lower. My vapman has mostly been sitting in a drawer since about 2 weeks after I got it since I don't have the time to get the heat just right. The VapCap took about 1 load to learn and now I can consistently get great vapor.

Somehow the effects of the tiniest nug shoved into this thing unground feel similar to 0.3g ground in my Crafty. I also find it works best through a J-Hook and you get some really nice visual feedback as the vapor swirls through it. Replacing the stock mouthpiece with one of @Ratchett's 18mm SonGs works great for mating with glass.

This is easily the best $30 you can spend on a vape gadget. At that price there's little reason not to have one in your collection. I can see myself taking this out with me a lot this summer. I think I found my perfect Folk Fest vape.

The only downside I can think of is the glass feels pretty brittle. I figure if it breaks I'll just take that as an excuse to replace it with one of those sexy wooden ones!

I am finding that a flower nug, not Ground, the size of a very very small Pea is the best for producing clouds and importing terrific taste. So effective, this wonderful tool!!!

The vertigo lighter just arrived! It came half full so I can say with certainty that it fires 3 hot jets - I just don't have anything to test it on :/

Can't go wrong with it for $9ish.

I am finding that a double jet works the best. (have a scorch torch ).The two flames enable you to either straddle the cap Or run along it or just use one. . Easy to straddle the y in dynacap. Perfect!

Four and three jets are also just a bit too quick on the heatip and cook the herb a little too fast, imho

I received my 3 flame torch lighters today! :)

As you can see, the Honest lighter is the same exact torch lighter as my favorite Vertigo lighter. The Honest cost me less than $5, the Vertigo cost me $9. The Honest lighters took awhile to show up, they came from China directly.

The bigger lighters you see will be my indoor lighter, it has a nice size tank.
