Pop quiz: out of the new tips, the Helix, the Halo, & M7
…which 2 would you pick - & why?
M7 for the extended back-to-back hits and forgiving heating; & the Helix (and perforated cap) for the most different DV experience with the open airflow. The Halo seems great but I dont know it very well yet. The last several tips have been really good.

if I could only have 1 halo (does everything well), 2 halo and helix (different/airy) , 3 halo, helix, M7 {other side of the spectrum), Omni (closest to the halo) 5fin Ti , 21 m, etc. etc, out of 11 different tips, things can change with 7 possible cap configurations including quartz, I.m an IH guy.

Does anyone have any opinions on the B tip? I thought I treat myself to a B tip (I only enjoy half bowls in the Dynavap), and really not sure what I think about it yet (only had it a few days). It's the first stainless steel tip I've owned, and find it somewhat of a chore compared to the Ti tips. I suppose I need to give it more time, to retrain my technique, but my initial thoughts aren't that great tbh. I've seen CoolBreeze post about a metallic taste (which, I have to admit, can't detect, although my taste buds are not that great). That all said, it does the job, I guess, and do enjoy the fact that I no longer have to worry about the screen slipping.

If only Dynavap could offer the option of a permanent half-bowl in every tip, that would be great.

I mostly do 1/2 bowls and like the B for that on the bong I seldom use, I'd compare it to a 1/2 bowl M+. I prefer Ti for faster heat up, if a 1/2 bowl halo or 5 fin Ti came along I jump on it.

I am also IH-committed. I find lighters to be temperamental, finicky, & not worth the fiddling; I’ve had a Skeleton, a Flux DeLuxe, now a Wand.

W/ 1st-issue & ‘20 Omnis & 3 Ms (1st-gen, sandblast, 2019(?)), I also have a Ti 5-fin & a loose 7-fin I picked up for some reason. Mostly I find that the SS & Ti tips are different from each other, but so far, no sense of there being some ‘different’ SS tips or real variation between Ti tips.

That said, my favorite is the ‘20 Omni XL for flower & the ‘19 M for wax/rosin. May have the dates wrong on those, but somewhere around ‘20 they introduced new & gnarly redesigns of both vapes in a 2-fer deal, and they are each qualitative improvements on their themes.

So, in my view, having been steadily improving each device in so many ways for a while, now they’re working to improve the tips & caps…and I am here for it. I say all this so you’ll know how valuable your opinion is to me.

I’ll postpone the Halo for now, if it’s most like my favorite Ti tip & probably get a Helix (I have a piece of Helix glass @ home that just might fit a tip - that could be *cool*)…because it seems to be THE most different

…And since there are new CAPS, too, I’d love to hear thoughts about the new cap variations, too, while we’re at it

Very interesting observations about the M7, please expand on those initial points! Love to hear your thoughts on the PerfCap, too

I’ve never really done .5-bowls, so fair to say I’ve never actually thought about it, but y’all got me thinking, so, what’s the appeal that leads y’all to mostly do half-bowls?

(Reminds me of my grandpa, he used to smoke unfiltered Chesterfields - cut each pack in half, neat as you please w/ his penknife, put them in a cigarette holder to smoke. Watching him doing it as a kid, I asked once why he did that. He said it was because his doctor’d told him to cut his smoking in half. It was not a joke I’d watched him fool people deliberately sometimes, he was an old southern raconteur - he had a twinkle in his eye when he joked, but he did this with every pack whether I was there or not, sober & consistent, so he must have had *some* reason…and it was back in the days when 4 out of 5 doctors smoked Lucky Strikes….)

Its a TI woody. With a cap from a limited 4:20 series.
Very collectible. And very much the pinnacle of dynavap in my humble opinion.

Definitely a keeper

Gorgeous Ti Woody, but I don't know any specifics.

Wanted to add:
Looks like cocobolo or wenge. Prossibly made by eds tnt!

That's a beauty 😍
Really appreciate the replies, thanks.
So I'm not missing out much if anything with all the new tip and cap options?

I'd hold on to that one no matter what and also try something new. The new tips are all really nice. You could get a Woodwynd to have the old and new Woodies with a much different experience. With the perforated cap the Woodwynd and Helix tip are very open-hitting and make a ton of flavorful vapor.

Wenge definitely
thats 200% sunlight-darkened cocobolo

Can anyone identify my unit? Must be from around 2017.
Have there been any signifanct changes I should look into or is my model still on par functionwise?

A double crowned cocobolo Ti Woody XL-S with cocobolo mouthpiece, from somewhere between 2015 and 2017. With a titanium 'regular 5 fin' tip.

Highly collectable. Also worth a fair bit. But yeah, there have been some significant changes.

So I'm not missing out much if anything with all the new tip and cap options?
Tip and cap no. Metal body and a nice condenser and mouthpiece, yes.

Any tips for getting 1 hit extraction from the Hyperdyn tip/cap? I’m having trouble where I’m either getting a few light hits and then need to reheat or else if I push it past the click I’ve combusted. I’m using this on a WPA and have tried with both a medium size lighter and a wand. With my tempest I’m easily able to get full 1 hit extraction but so far not for the Hyperdyn.

Edit: also should mention I can easily get a 1 hit extraction with normal dyna setups

My hyperdyn is probably my least used vape I've ever owned. Didn't pass the reach test on the same day it arrived even.

Inconsistent results are common with it for me and non existent with my other butane devices (some half the price of the hyper!).

I really do not like the hyper and I'm sort of surprised dynavap released it as it is.

Wow really surprised to hear that. I had another bad experience with it tonight - 4 bowls and none good 😔

I think it’s the armored cap aspect. I never liked that on the standard DV either

Respectfully disagree regarding the tip, I prefer Simrell 9 fin tip with the helix second, and the 5-fin tip posted third. As for cap I prefer the low temp and then the perforated one, but I do not own a low temp perforated, sold out currently. I am willing to exchange for a Simrell low temp perfo. :)

I got a bunch of Black Friday dynavap stuffs

Finally trying an armored cap. And a new m7 tip. It’s working really well. Way better than I expected. I already had the wpa… it’s fantastic

I’m working it hard on this dry pipe and I’m still impressed. I never got an armored cap before because I had all the Dani’s and anvil. It’s totally worth it (on sale…..)

I also got a dynacoil. I’m expecting it’s better than my low expectations lol with this armored cap. Anyone have any tips for dynacoil? If so what tip and cap were you puffin on with it?

I got a coil in Nov, been using it w/ wax in a ‘20 M w/ a Wand

First thing, for Wand users: use a CAPTIVE cap - the adapter can pull off a regular one.

More generally, I try to make sure it melts into the coil, not the cap, so I push it into the top of the coil, heat tip-up & rotate it gently. If you see vapor coming out before the click, hit it. Working your way up tempwise will get you 4-5 nice hits w/ a rice-grain sized bit

Haven’t tried to clean it yet, doesn’t seem to need it

Very satisfied & plan to order at last 1 more
