Monk Debate

The monks do be debatin’
Well, they got me. 20% off with a purchase of the new M. I ordered the M, an XL condenser and spinning Ti mouthpiece, and a Nonavong stem. So now I can easily run an XL M dry or an XL Vong through water.

And I’m still considering getting one of those dry glass cooling stems!

Greetings Folks,

I'll be joining the 'Dynaverse' in a few weeks time and had a couple of questions for you seasoned Omni XL users:

  1. Do you find that using an SS tip instead of the titanium one helps retain heat better?
  2. Would the flower get cooked to a deeper brown using the SS tip over the titanium one?
  3. Also, and this may be the wrong thread, but do you find one particular induction heater is able to reach higher temperatures than others (i.e. Portside Mini vs Fluxer Deluxe vs Lucid)?

I am a high temp vaporist; cooler vapor is not that important to me. I realize that ABV color does not necessarily indicate how well the goodies have been extracted but I like to see my ABV dark brown after my sessions. I guess I'm looking for the best combo (Vapcap tip selection, IH choice, etc.) to get thick, high temperature hits.

Thank you in advance for your time.
Yes, SS holds heat longer than Ti. That said, how you want to extract your flower, with either tip, is totally up to you. It’s time on the heat that matters most, and where the heat is placed...for IH’s, again it’s time on the heat. I’m pretty sure that the guts for all of these IH’s are similar, just differences in form factor.

Bottom line, the VC is a bottomless well of choices. I have 16 Ti tips and 9 SS tips, plus a number of glass OG’s. They all work splendidly well.

Where has the time gone?
The M 2019 has style, no doubt, and the new features are certainly improvements. I would like to get one but... I already have other M's and they work perfectly well. That's what I am telling myself. But the attraction is strong.:rockon:Still, I think I will pass for now and find my delight in reading your comments of appreciation. :)

Without going through water, what stem do you think will give you the coolest vapor? Wondering if one of the 4" glass stems without a carb hole would provide the coolest vapor?

Possibly. I do find that glass stems and condensers seem to smooth out the vapor. Certainly the knobby glass stems that channel the Vapor over an obstacle course must cool the vapor more. But I don't have one of those so I'm just guessing.

Beyond that, I don't think that the stem makes a difference overall since they are just the VapCap's clothes and don't come in contact with the vapor path, unless you don't have a condenser.

I've been able to produce wonderful Vapor that is smooth and non irritating by using a filter and a mouthpull technique.

I create a filter by coiling a bit of degummed hemp fiber into a flat risk and placing it into the tip. You can put the filter into the bottom of the herb chamber, or sandwich it between two screens or place it into the neck of the tip, underneath the screen. The filter blocks tiny plant particles from entering the vapor path and prevents harshness and irritation. It may even cool the Vapor slightly.

The mouthpull technique directly cools the vapor without impacting vapor production. To do this, block or cover your air port and pull vapor into your mouth, pulling with your cheeks rather than inhaling into your lungs. This is the same technique you use to pull liquid through a straw into your mouth. At the end of the pull, either uncover the air port of simply open your mouth to inhale fresh clean cool air along with the Vapor into your lungs.

Combined, this approach creates smooth, cool, non irritating vapor and keeps your condenser clean for a long long time.

Yeah the new M looks really nice and I want one too. But thinking about trying to hold off for now. But 20% off with free shipping has got me wondering if the 4-20 sale will be better or will it be the same thing?

Dont forget that when you use the SS-Tip that you lose the functionality to control the airflow with the omni condenser. At the TI-tip, the hole narrows towards the direction of the heating chamber, whereby it is straight at the SS-tip.

This video explains the functionality of the omni perfect:

What is the best way to vape this?

The Afghan hash that I'm familiar with is solid but soft like a thick plumbers putty when fresh and hardens up a bit over time. It is soft enough to pinch off a bit with your fingers and then flatten into a thin pancake to expose the most surface area. Pop that into your herb chamber and heat the bottom of the cap a few seconds past the click. Heat, toke and repeat until no more Vapor is produced. The ABV just falls out when you dump it and leaves no residue in the tip.

I never use the practise of heating the hash enough to crumble it into the tip because I always want to avoid any bits from entering the vapor path.

When I have the rock hard Moroccan hash, I shave a thin slice off with a razor blade.

Anyone having trouble placing preorder on the 2019 m?

Keeps saying not available and remove from cart? Then I do and discount is removed from other goodies. Went to add m back in cart and says not available? Am I missing something?

Tried multiple times now between phone and PC? :bang:

Thanks @Squiby
Yes it's soft black that was very popular in the U.K. In the 80s 90s but died off after it became easier to grow rather than smuggle in from the east
I love it and miss that lovely hash so now I've got some I don't know how to use it because back in the day I would of made a worm out of it and banged it in a tobacco spliff but now I only vape
So are you saying put the pancake straight in and vape it neat whiteout any substrate
I was worried this would gunk up my vapcap
The hash doesn't melt but goes crumbly after heating
Thanks I new you would help me out
I don't want to waste it it's been twenty years and when it's gone it's gone
God living in the uk is shot

Make a little disc, whithout anyting else. Just get it out when it is still hot. when you leave it in after vaping you have much more chance of gunking up the bowl. Hash requires higher temps so it takes a while to get there. The afghan hash tastes like never before in the vapcap. serious! It does not smell very familiar for most people so i use it often in 'public' situations. grtz

That's right and just like @dendamper says. It sounds like we have a similar ptoduct.

Enjoy that Hash! Some of us never see the things of old anymore.
Boy oh boy, I wish I could send you some. We seem to have it in abundance up here in Canada. Hash is my all time favourite. I could sit and just sniff a chunk all day long. 40 years ago we either smoked it in a pipe, hot knifed it on the stove or crumbled it into a joint. I still have knives with burnt tips from those days sitting around in the garage. Holiday meals were fun back then as straight relatives would puzzle over the knives with the funny dark tips....

Not sure if this has been said or noted before (not from my post research carried out with the search button) but my SS tip developed some dark stains inside that can be scraped off with a tool. They are not stains of concentrate unfortunately since the iso wash I did would've removed them and the scraped material is gray. It seriously concerns me. :hmm:
