Last week I ordered some magnets inclusive some 3mm diameter magnetic balls and by the more magnetic ability I thought with this I can block my carbhole from my shadow M when is needed :)
Today the package arrived with totally 144 different shapes of magnets :brow:

So and what can I say it works perfectly with this round magnets  it also prevents my shadow from rolling around.

Damn neat! That's the coolest looking fix for the carb. Plus, magnets FTW! :)
Is it stuck magnetically or just wedged in there? Doesn't look like it leaks any air.
But if I remember correctly, the M body is entirely non-magnetic. Does it stick to the stem or the condenser? And does it stay stuck or falls out easily?

Excuse all the questions, but I can't wait to try this out. Still checking tracking details every few hours for my shadow M and vong-xls. The wait is agonising. Maybe I'll occupy myself by ordering these magnet balls. 3mm, did you say?

Cool with the 3mm magnet! :) Is it really fully blocking the carb?
Magnets... By the way... Check this:

I have it a little bit false described, I mean 144 pieces of magnets total and 6 different forms like cubes etc. will post a pic later when im back at home.

@Prophecy kinda kool to use a magnetized ball bearing to close your carb.

Should you “loose” your bearing on your weakly magnetized Shadow, remember you can slide your condenser O-ring after the carb
to effectively do the same.

Another option.

@Park Ranger i would NOT bend the actual digger on the cap, you just want to use the digger as a landmark.

Holding the cap while it is off of the tip, squeeze the cap putting pressure on the side of the cap that the digger is located and the opposite side. Again, you are putting pressure on the cap right above the digger and the opposite side near the edge, NOT the actual digger.

The goal is the squeeze the manufactured shape of the cap (a circle) into an oval, so that the two sides closest to each other provide a friction fit onto the smaller circle of the tip.

Easy does it. Try a little bit and test for fit, and repeat until the tip seems secure. It doesn’t have to be super tight.

I've just purchased a Shadow M. Anything I should know?

Clean it with iso and q-tips and/or pipe cleaners before using it. Especially the inside of the condenser tube and the inside of the tip.

I just got some new stuff and after cleaning I also heated it while empty a few times and blew out through it rather than breathing in. The first time or two I got something coming out, so I’m glad I didn’t breathe in whatever it was. ;)

I think it's a bad idea to bend the digger as it needs to be straight to have resistance to push out the condenser if you have no other tool nearby. I had ad a very loose cap on my shadow and with a good and firm squeez it's ok now. Put a finger on the low end of the cap just above the digger and one other on the opposite and squeez slowly but firmly.

Holds only with the magnet effect, in the black coating process of the body, the magnetic behavior changes so that it is more magnetic but it works also on a 2018 M ;)
On the shadow M it holds very good i can drop it and the ball stays on his place on the 2018 M it comes off a little easier to the less magnetic effect of it but it works and this little ball can hold ~130g its very strong for the little size.
It closes the hole completely have it tested with the cap down and my index finger on the tip opening and I can not notice any air inflow and if it is so small that I do not notice.

from this side I ordered the magnets was this set:

https://www.supermagnete.de/eng/magnet-sets/set-114-set-with-114-small-magnets_Z-04

and this are the ball magnets https://www.supermagnete.de/eng/sph...ameter-3mm-neodymium-n42-chrome-plated_K-03-C

was very cool that they throw in 10 pieces of this magnets for free :) https://www.supermagnete.de/eng/rod...-8.47mm-neodymium-n45-nickel-plated_S-05-08-N

here are a few pictures, have the magnets on my IH's also replaced now the cap remains centered on the magnet

Should not be a problem at all I have 20 of this now :) thanks for the tip as a long time reader here is known to me, but so it is easier for me and I do not have to annoy me with the oring.

Not having budgeted an extra +$215 green in the Xmas want list, I took out a “lab rat” (AKA “experiment”)
SDS sent a few summers ago—will have to make do until the piggy bank becomes “Chubber” again....

To amuse myself, I made an xXL version for LOL

I'm not a great photographer but i had to take some shots anyway. This is what a vapcap should feel like. This is the right size for my hands, the right thickness and length, it feels solid and turns in my fingers smooth as silk.
I'd actually been intending to use my ti tip on it and get another for my Woody but I couldn't resist giving it a try, despite wanting to put it away for christmas, and I tried the Shadow M tip just to see how it looked and it seemed to hit better with it. Plus it looks cool.
She's currently in a velvet pen bag, I need to find some kind of case, she's too precious and must be protected.

Yes.
You fill the end w/ pot, heat the cap, and suck from the other end.
Practice!
Wait wait wait, SLOW down...

Which end do I fill with pot (you mean cannabis, right?), do I suck from the other end after I heat the cap, or during, and where should the cap be while I’m heating it???

Is there an owner’s manual with these crazy contraptions???

I think you have to shove the whole VapCap in your mouth (except the mouthpiece which of course goes between your lips), fill your mouth with butane, light it and blow as hard as you can while you spin around.

...right?

While you are waiting for your M to arrive, read the links below in my signature for some info on care, maintenance and some techniques.

The Best Of thread has a plethora of info and it's only two pages long.

Thanks for linking to this thread. Someone else mentioned it and for some reason I couldn’t find it when searching for it.
