Hmm...I've got 2 Shadow Ms set up as XL with spinning mps. One with a wood mp has the Shadow SS tip and the other has Ti mp and tip. I only set up the Ti tip one yesterday so maybe I don't have enough experience with it yet but so far I'm not seeing a huge difference between the tips. They both seem to heat up quickly with my triple torch, airflow seems similar. Perhaps I'll find more differences as I use them more. I look forward to finding out.

:2c:

after being a vapcap noob, i ordered an M and an omniXL.

I also ordered a standard XL condenser and spinning Ti MP..

I have to say after weeks of testing different configs the hands down winner for me is XL Ti spinner MP.

Ti vs SS tip?
- Ti tip hands down, very easy choice.

omni MP/condenser? - ok, probably more fiddly than needs to be for the benefit of the airflow change, but its not bad once you get it ot where you like it.

spinning mp: - winner. seems like a gimmick, but gripping the XL body with the spinning MP falling just in the bends of your fingers makes spinning the vapcap while heating so much more stable and comfortable. and really just tweaking the carb hole is fine. I actually found I like to pull with more air wide open which was counter intuitive to what I thought.

the body is just what you like looks wise as far as I can tell. so actually @-dab8- suggested the configuration I had went and figured out the hard way myself by buying all the diff configs to try for myself.

and as @mrb mentioned...Ti-Tip-4-lyfe gang... I read the same things about people using the SS tip and preferring that, but now after having some experience and reading around some more it seems those people are in the minority or they have the M because it's cheaper and works ok and just evangelize that version. but I can't see how anyone can use them side by side or one after the other and conclude SS tip is better. its ok, but i bought both and was already thinking, dang i need another Ti tip so I can not have to use this SS tip ever again and have another useable ti tip configuration.

so @-dab8- and @mrb are not steering you wrong above. their advice is wise.

but is it CIVILIZED 4U?

Can you expand on why you feel the “Ti tip, hands down” is better? What should I be looking for that makes it so much better? Thanks!

Ti is the tits. Heats quick, and as quickly, cools.:spliff: Lite Magic?

Besides, it’s the present “in” metal, what with hundreds, if not thousands of Omnis in the wild.

Add to that, a VIH, and it’s the —Ba-zoom !?

Take it to the next level ( Hack. Hack. ):mmmm::spliff:

XL size may be good, as far as I can observe, for spinning while using a lighter.
I use IH, so I don't appreciate that benefit.
To me standard size is more comfortable.... less weight between lips.
Dynastash also smaller than XL easier to carry out and about.
So maybe XL if torches??? ..... cos I got big hands.

ok so I think I have tried teh omniXL enough and asked enough questions and read around enough to feel at peace with it.

I'm in search of some M guidance/tips now.

I tried the M for like one like half bowl when i first got it. but it was literally my first attempts with vapcap. kinda worked and I was like ok interesting. then i moved on and tried the omni and started having all my problems and experimenting trying to figure out why the expensive fancy thing was having trouble.

so i feel good about understanding the omni now regardless of how I feel about it.

So I went back to the M to give it an honest session and I felt like I couldn't even draw on it this time. I was getting no vapor but my material was getting toasted. It felt like the cap was making a perfect seal on the tip or something. I tried backing the cap off the tip a bit to give a little more airflow but no dice. it was really baffling. using 4 flame torch.

If I had the carb covered it was like sucking on a pencil. open carb = airflow but no vapor.

I pulled it apart, popped the screen, re-seated the orings. didn't seem to make a diff. I dumped my slightly toasted but not enjoyed chamber and loaded it in the omni and got a big juicy.

gonna break it all the down and clean it and start from scratch with the M. looking for any tips or ideas to list out for when i go to "work" with the M tonight trying to master it.

I feel like a moran struggling with these.

I'm still gonna try the SS tip mod for airflow. it's really the airflow. I have tried with either cap I have and its like a perfect seal. makes using it a struggle and like i'm gonna sprain my collarbone sucking on it. also I think I can definitely tell a diff in heat on XL vs M but I would guess that's more due to the Ti condenser vs regular. If you look at my posts in this thread you'll see me being a noob and whining about getting used to using a vapcap.

yeah I never vape out, so mobility may be a consideration with length for some? when I put my Ti tip on M body it works fine, i just really notice the heat difference, but that's probably due more to the Ti condenser, rather than the length. You take your IH with you when you're mobile? and yeah if you have IH the spinning is kinda whatever, but i mean the omni functionality is whatever to me already. so it would seem it would be a wash regarding omni vs spinning if you use IH.

but I'll say if youre just trying to decide on your first vapcap etc, getting an IH is probably not worth considering until you like it. honestly the biggest thing I like about vapcap is simplicity and small packing if I was gonna travel somewhere. can heat it on whatever basically. i wouldn't travel with IH, just get by with torch or even regular lighter or candle in pinch.

to me, omni is like 10% improvement over standard condenser, but costs way more. and if you do omni, you don't get comfrotable spin if you need to heat it manually. if you only ever use IH, spinning is irrelevant and omni benefit is slight benefit, but cost of omni vs standard is not worth the diff 4 me? but 4U?

I agree that if/when using IH exclusively the XL length gives no advantage, but for torch use I definitely prefer it. It is not a lot longer (17mm) but it makes a difference.
And while I prefer the Ti tip for it's speed and slightly better air flow, for those using the "Sip and Dip"™ method it isn't hard to see why the SS tip might be advantageous. As I have said elsewhere, while one can get used to and be happy with either tip, they do perform slightly differently and either may be better for different styles of use.
makes using it a struggle and like i'm gonna sprain my collarbone sucking on it
VCs generally, and steel tipped ones in particular are less conducive to inhaling with your lungs or diaphragm and perform better with "mouth pulling"™ as you would draw on a joint. Should save your collarbone.
If you use them in glass, drawing from your lungs is fine.

Yes I take my loved PSM, its not that big for what it gives me.
One can be vapcaping more discretely, in many places than with a torch.

Still, it would be expedient to carry something small for EDC? All day.

I don’t think the differences beyond air flow are as stark as some here. I would go so far as to say they are largely dab8-able. Titanium heats and cools faster. This can be a benefit or a negative depending on how you plan to use your vapcap. Air flow is noticeable, visually and in practice. You can alter your stainless tips with small files to have scallops which will further shrink the differences between the two. That said, which am I buying? Titanium. The inner diameter of the tips is just slightly larger on the titanium tips, so they fit nicely over an @Ed’stnt woodscents vape log. Plus in my head it seems cleaner and more durable. Admittedly this is largely in my head. I’m kinda a titanium nerd.

So XL M, then you have an M for out and about, and an XL M for at home.

I figured it is a good time to say hello! I’ve been happy since getting my FF2 when they came out and haven’t been in the vape market. I didn’t even know the Vapcap existed until I recently started using Reddit and everyone on vape related subreddits were talking about Dynavap. I finally googled it and instantly knew I needed it. I sold some stuff I had extras of and justified spending the money that way. I ordered the Omni XL bcz I have big hands and I love titanium and I like to start off with the best product I can get. I knew I was going to love it and want the Omni.

I was also very excited to find out that they are made in wisconsin. That’s where I was made! I just moved back after being in California for the past 15 years. I’m happy to see that Wisconsin is progressive enough to be working towards legalization as well as having an innovative vape manufacturer here. I am hoping to be able to visit Dynavap in person someday soon. I was surprised that the local vape and smoke shops didn’t carry Dynavap. They didn’t even know what it was. I’m going to see what I can do to change that :).

The Omni XL should be here by Thursday and I am sure I will stumble in here sufficiently medicated to rave about how awesome it is. Next step. Read through all of the info about the desktop induction heater and make one of those. Until then, I ordered the Vector Z-Plus 2.0.

Thanks for being here so I can share my excitement with people who can appreciate it!

Welcome! You will love your Omni XL. Such an incredible device.

I got an Eo from ryan (RBT) just threads on to my box mod and fits the cap perfect, I'm sure the IH works better but at 40 watts I will get a click and good vapor, pretty nifty and makes me want an IH to try out as well :)

I have pretty much everything RBT and that is the only one that never attracted me. Then I have been dragged kicking and screaming into mods anyway so the IH stuff still makes more sense to me for VCs.
I anxiously await something really portable in an IH tho...

And that may take the next leap in battery chemistry.

Last week I ordered some magnets inclusive some 3mm diameter magnetic balls and by the more magnetic ability I thought with this I can block my carbhole from my shadow M when is needed :)
Today the package arrived with totally 144 different shapes of magnets :brow:

So and what can I say it works perfectly with this round magnets  it also prevents my shadow from rolling around.
