I'm looking forward to your review! I've only read good things about the PSM!
The IH is a game changer! I used it last night for 2 sessions.

First session was just getting the hang of it. I accidentally combusted on the 4th bowl  ...it was my bad though, I went about 3 seconds past the click.
Cleaned everything out and tried again later.

Second session went perfectly. I absolutely love this thing! @Pipes you done good sir, ya done good.

This IH is very easy to use, feels and looks well built. Now I'll use my DynaVap as my daily driver no doubt.

It’s so nice not to have to fuss with any lighters and spinning.

It has been interesting to me that DV has gone with the pointed fins from the LE Ti tip on the M18 Steel tips, but have not done so with the Ti tips. I have no idea if they radiate heat better, or are easier to cut or what practical difference they really make in manufacture or use, but it is curious that that feature still separates the Ti and steel tips.

Added: Hmmm... I just had a thought. Maybe they DO radiate heat faster, and it is too fast for the Ti and interferes with getting more than one good hit. Or something...

Ignoring the fact that the LE (in the middle) is 7 fin, you will notice that the fins have pointed ends rather than flat ones like on the current (I think) Ti tip on the right. They are also cammed (irregular length like a camshaft) on the LE but I am only referring to the end of the fins.

Sorry for the shitty pic...

I must not have anything newer than BF last year when I got my Omni, but I thought that was the newest...

But I just cut this from their site so you are absolutely right.

Wait, I think I remember now that this is the one we decided to call Gen 6. Maybe I have that one on the VC in my glove compartment...

Has Dynavap stopped selling the fat mouthpiece? I can’t find it on the website.

After work session, I like these things!

Some initial thoughts...

I'm amazed at how small they are, I can totally conceal the M in my hand. I'm sure an XL of some sort will be in my future. It seems it'll fit my hand better, especially for spinning while heating.
I've caught myself putting it up to my lips to spark it light a J several times already.
I keep the carb closed with my finger. Sometimes I'll roll it slightly at the end of my puff to add a bit of air but otherwise it's shut. After a session I suck cool air through a few times for cooling, a couple with the carb closed and a couple with it open. Overall, I'd prefer no carb.
Love the flavor, no more ashtray taste! No more coughing! Very clean high!

The little SnapStash that came with my kit is pretty cool! It seals tight but pops right open with a squeeze and it works quite well. I'm dumping my AVB into it and it's nearly half full already.

The neat thing about looking at my vapcap collection, is the incredible spectrum of emotions it can make me feel.

At once, love, pride, joy, happiness, and also complete and utter shame at the small car’s worth I have accumulated in less than a year.

Whatever, 4 against one.

Positives win.

So finally which are the last Ti tips the squared or rounded ones ? I just got the squared ones with the omnivong+ shadow deal from vaposhop. I guess there not the last ones as those on the dynavap site are rounded ? that would be a bit uncool. Does anybody who has both notice any difference ? Is there a sort of recap with what people here call gen 3,4, 5 etc ? That would be nice to have in a so big and complete thread...

People find that 4th-6th gen tip are all pretty close and 5/6 are basically indistinguishable.. I use a 5th and 6th on my two daily drivers for months. Couldn't care less which of the two I'm using as they're so similar.

Actually prefer the look of the older square ones. Pretty sure this most recent design change was mostly about tooling costs and manufacturing speed. And went ahead because performance was unaffected.. DV wouldn't knowingly reduce performance.

EDITED: to correct incorrect generation numbers, in reference to my own use/experience.

Started reading through this thread randomly last night.. skipping forward random pages... saw Squiby's vapcap here:

http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/dynavap-vapcap.18853/page-1538#post-1328658

And fell completely in love. So I'm going to buy a vapcap now.. how can you not after looking at that.

I'm going back now to start from page one this time (edit: woah, maybe not page one ) and not skip any pages, but for now two questions:

Is there really very much difference between the Omnivap and the Omnivap XL? Looking for smooth joint-like hits... or as close as possible.

Which is the most portable induction heater?

Thanks for that. So if I understand well the squared one I just got with my omnivong would be 5th gen ?
