Couple of things here.........yes, I think a chill out would be good today. For those looking for IH miniaturization, we’re competing with physics here. An IH is a relatively high current device, and needs a good PS and some healthy sized induction coils to do its magic. As far as affordable tech goes right now, the mini IH from @Pipes is about as small as you can practically get for now. Hand for wishes, hand for shit, which one will fill faster?

As far as out an about with the VC, I live in an illegal state and have it out and about every single day. Discretion is the key. Inside my favorite grocery store/bar (yes, that’s a real thing here) it’s just a quick step away to the upstairs restroom. 2 quick hits, boom, back to the beer. Seriously, I have a fucking grocery store 20 min from my house with 36 taps and an Enoteca wine bar. And pub food, fresh pizza, a seafood grill and a cheese grill. Every community needs a place like this.....now to just add Devils Lettuce to the menu!

I agree out and about use of the dynavap is feasible. I spent three weeks doing it in one of the largest cities on the planet. You just have to be discreet and also play it cool.

One of the busy places I toked at last December.

@mucsusn thank you. @szai I believe George has consulted with Pipes. @stark1 if one of us gets one (I applied for the VCDC) let's meet up on the Commons and look for Mr. Baker-I'd like to have a few words with him myself.

That's what I meant, I could have been clearer. I Blame concentrates in my dynavap, this wouldn't have happened with bud.

Edit: mod please merge accidentally posted twice instead of editing the first one.

Done. Stan is more approachable.

About smaller being better in discretion, I agree

I carried a one hitter for many years. Part of why a DV and DS is so natural for me. But what has changed for me the most is the fact that it doesn't smell ANYTHING like combustion did even from so small a device so hiding is much less necessary. I can indulge in the room next door to others who won't know a thing, and that is freedom. For me.

So, the VAPING is the thing, and discrete portable toys like DVs are the other things that have changed everything.

You very much mirror my experience. For most of the past 20 years I traveled around the country with a glass bat and dugout. I learned to be discreet but was never fast enough to out run the scent of combustion. The VC has been such a game changer in that regard.

And holy crap are they efficient. I'm looking at about 5 days of ABV in my debowler and it's less than I would have combusted in a couple of days this same time last year.

Hi again everyone.

So, after a few days with my M, the one thing thats bothering me is the Cough, After 2-3 hits, coughing starts, and then it stays for a while.

This never happens when I smoke joints, or it might very very rarely happen if I smoke too many joints in one day or something, but with vaping this is happening every day, and its kind of ruining my experience and initial excitement.

Will this get better with time?

Is there something I can do so that my lungs dont feel like they are going to explode every time I vape?

I am vaping charas, and using the hemp fiber from dynavap as a filter.

First make sure that you're not getting sick or allergies are at work. The other is to take smaller pulls. Quite often those of us who are new to vaping take in much bigger hits than we think we are because it's vapor and not smoke. Take smaller pulls. And also remember that cannabis in any inhale form is an expectorant and broncho dilator. I know that the coughing I encountered in my first few weeks of vaping did a lot to clear out the heavy lungs I had last fall when I started vaping full time.

Is that basically a modified 'Project'?

A Smoant knight would offer a shorter profile.

It wouldn't be induction but I seem to recall @antispleen experimenting with a coil based heater and having acceptable results.

Probably but there are a couple of things that can help. One is try to get a chillum or something else that you can use as a dry water tool.

Did you try the burning it first? How did that work for you?

I've noticed combusters often have issuestolerating vaping until they get used to it and quit combustion.

@mrsifter you're judging the DV heater after only seeing the prototype very briefly... I think George said they had only just printed their first lid... Give it time dude..

As for the DV out and about... I agree with the 'spotlight' principal people have mentioned.

I live in London UK and have had no issues in my last 10 months of Dynavaping in public with a lighter... In the toilets, out front by the smokers, occasionally under the table in a busy bar/pub.... With practiced technique and a tripple flame it can be quite easy.
But i am looking forward to having an IH for occasions where i would appreciate a bit more subtlety and/or a more relaxed beginer/friends user experience...

What is your draw technique? Drawing and inhaling directly into your lungs can be very irritating. I can't toke that way myself. I have sensitive lungs and have found that a mouthpull doesn't cause coughing. If you mouthpull and still cough, take shorter pulls.

To mouthpull, heat your M to the click and place your finger over the air intake hole. Then pull vapor into your mouth, but do not inhale. Imagine that you are puffing on a cigar or sucking liquid into your mouth through a straw. After a short draw either remove your finger from the air intake or simply open your mouth and inhale, bringing cool fresh air into your lungs along with the vapor. Then exhale and repeat.

I puff, inhale, puff, inhale, puff, inhale then exhale about three times per cycle, with three heating cycle per microdose load. Even with very sensitive lungs, I never cough.

I hope this technique helps.

Yes I did try burning it first, but that doesn't make a difference to the coughing.

It will be difficult to totally give up combusting if this coughing does not go away

I quite smoking cigarettes a few months ago and started vaping nicotine using a pen type e-vape device. So I am very familiar with mouthpulls and I have been doing that only. Couldnt even think about doing a direct to lung hit with the amount of coughs I get.

Funnily enough, I don't have this problem when I am vaping nicotine in my pen, but with the M I cough constantly.

The burning doesn't do anything for coughing just seems to activate it or something.

Where on the cap are your heating it? After the burning and smooshing heat it normally. Like you see in vids for bud. It doesn't require higher temps for hash. Especially if it's good quality like you say it is.

This is the hash I was using.
