Two bi-metal disks in cap. One is redundant. In case you missed it. Use second click. For less vapor use the first one.
If you look at the cap the side of the cap opening the side that has the digger wants to flatten out. To tighten the cap, make it rounder or less round . All the caps are the same size. Doc

Now I'm confused. If we ignore the first click, and there is only one click, couldn't we end up over-cooking? I had no idea until now that there were two clicks at the beginning (warmed up) and again at the end (cooled). So...shouldn't we respond and quit torching when we hear the first click?

M tip mod, I've also filed mine a bit, flows a bit better. Round needle file, an easy job.
So, I haven't modified any of my Ms, mostly because I don't HAVE a needle or other file to do the job. Do you guys think the improvement in airflow is enough to make it worth buying one? How noticeable IS the improvement? Is it enough that George should be doing it, or offering to do it for a couple bucks extra? I realize that this might interfere with the efficiency that allows him to sell this one so inexpensively...
So...shouldn't we respond and quit torching when we hear the first click?
When I get 2 clicks they are often so close together that if I stop heating after the first, the second still happens. There will be variability between caps on this and it would be hard to make a hard and fast rule. It will depend...

If you hear the first click, do not ignore it but wait a 'short moment' more with the flame for a 'possible' second click. We are not talking much time here. After you hear that first 'soft' click be ready to stop heating whether the second click happens or not.

:2c:

Thanks for that tip! :)

I did a before draw test to three Ms before modification. After the modification I felt the draw was much improved.

I went ahead and added the Ti tip to my first order (ouch!) because I don't trust my modding skills.

so second test run not too much different than the first but a little. two heatup rounds again and spent but this time the first round was much weaker than my first time using it... so weak i hit it all the way till the cooling click and blew out a light cloud. second heatup and i took a hit and almost knocked me on my ass and the taste was spent bad. after i was done coughing i opened it up and although i did not combust, it was very near close which explains the taste i had.

i really need to find my "groove" with it and will take some time. i can see this, as of right now, as a compliment, not a replacement, of my grasshopper. it really fills my void from my old "dugout" days especially with the dynastash i bought with it.if i were to make one improvement to the dynastash, is that i would add a spring on the VC side like my old dugout had to pop the VC up when you open its side. i will probably do this myself if i ever find the right spring size

If we are talking about the 'M', lean on the heat a little at first. Count to three after the first click (or heat cycle). Count to two after the second click, and on the third round I do not heat any time past the click. This is how I am using my 'M' to great success.

For the omni or Ti tip I respect the click much more, especially in later heat cycles.
mine is not an "M" and not an Omni either. i have Ti Woody-S

...you have a "uni"....my heads spinning...time for another bowl....(been saying cobalt instead of carbon)

What's a 'uni'?

@Squiby, trust you're well and caught up on this steamroller of a thread, just no stopping it, I don't even bother trying to keep up anymore. 17,472+ replies and 1,267,870+ views.

My M video, again, for anyone who likes visual stimuli. No doubts about performance.

Thanks a TON for that pic. I actually think I can do this.....

....dynavap names their vapes into categories...the omni...the uni...the vong....now the m also...within the categories there are interchangeable parts that are mix and match...at customers desire...your ti-woody s ...is a uni...if you go to the site...under each category is a "option" to see ALL the vapes available for that category...check it out.

Now I feel downright stupid. I missed seeing the Uni..... Thank you!

Just keep at it. You'll find your way without too much trouble and you'll find something that works brilliantly for you.

This thread is an amazing source of info, but it also proves there is a massive amount of variety in users techniques, preferences and results.. Amazingly almost all ending in a happy user.

Depending on. . .
tip material, lighter strength, heating method, bowl size, airflow preference, weed, environmental temperature etc... The experience will be different.

You'll learn your technique quickly enough i imagine.
Remember to try heating different areas of the cap to get different temperature clicks.. Nearer mouth end for higher heat, nearer the end of the cap for lower heat.

Well said! As with most better vapes, not hard to get vapor right out of the box (or green envelope in this case). But, takes a bit of practice and experience to find your groove and your own tech. As I progress with such things, I often go back in a thread (for whatever vape) and find things others have suggested that seem to go well with what I'm figuring out for myself.

I have an Omnivap that I want to convert to have a spinning mouthpiece. Will I need a standard condenser with mouthpiece or an xl condenser with mouthpiece?

New TI tip and omni body arrived.

Tip is about 20 thou smaller at the O-rings than the old tip, which means its actually loose in the body. Tried it in both new and old bodies, loose in both while the older tip is snug in both. Hopefully it's not so loose that it starts falling out. I guess we'll see.

I really like the new Omni body though. It's a joy to look at and to hold, and it won't roll off a table like the perfectly round bodies.

This is also my first tip with the adjust-a-bowl and CCD, both features I like a lot. Looking forward to giving it a go tonight.

An old pipe smoker trick! Did it over years. Works good. Wait until the wood is warmed up, a smooth rubbing over the nosal wings, skin fat is melting and diffuses the wood. A short polish and everything is fine.

This is absolutely just too gross to discuss! HELP! POLICE!

Well..at least it wasn't a shipping post. :p

Just got my Ti-Carbon S in the mail today. Did my cleaning of it and OMG this is fantastic!
I love my M but I now get the difference between the Ti tip and the SS. There is definintely a difference. Also while I am not by any stretch a vapor chaser, the 1st pull with this thing gave me massive clouds whereas with the M, that would only be possible with the 2nd or 3rd pull.
This a real game changer for me. As much as I love my M, I am letting my wife keep it as she loves the metal and weight of it.
It works out nicely. :-D
Now I am going to make a filter for it using some of the hemp fiber from Dynavap and directions from @Squiby and see how much better things are with this. :-D

Edit: Oh, and the spinning mouthpiece... I didn't realize how great of a thing that is! Currectly my only complaint for the VapCap I have is that when I lift if off a magnet (and even just take of the cap!!!), the tip wants to stay leaving me pulling the body right off like it was nothing. To take it off a magnet, I have to roll it off, or lift from the fins on the tip especially when removing the cap. The M tip was a bit more secure and snug in its body than the Carbon seems to be.

Actually, it's called sebum, and it is a fantastic lubricant for many things. Perspective and a deep breath here......we have it for a reason. Gross is largely a cultural issue/bias. Bottom line, works better than any commercial product I've tried. When I'm out and about and the o-rings or seals on any of my vapes are being cranky, a quick swipe of where your nose meets your face will fill the need. Sorry if that's TMI for some:rofl:

Truth be known, sebum SHOULD be dramatically less gross than spit which we treat very casually but is FULL of bacteria. Think about THAT during your next makeout session...

Then again, zits. Need I say more?
