If im using really tiny loads of ground herb (0.008) i set it down inverted so the herbs stay together and dont move around too much when picking it up and lighting it. I use a dual flame and i angle it so the line of flames is running perpendicular to the length of the device. This cooks the load quickly and evenly. I get a few clouds that are bigger than youd think for such a miniscule amount of herb.
The magnet doesnt hold it very well inverted but it holds just enough to keep it from going anywhere

I used to pop a hemp filter into the bottom of the ti tip chamber, on top of the screen. It worked great but bits of bud would tangle up with the filter and my ABV would have to be nudged out by the digger outter. Now I make a sandwich so my bud does not come in contact with the fiber.
A hemp filter screen sandwich consists of a CCD screen placed into the lowest groove of the ti tip, a degummed hemp fiber filter is placed over it with another CCD screen placed on top seated in the middle groove of the ti tip.
The hemp filter can be made with degummed hemp fiber available from Dynavap. You get a huge amount for $5.

You guys know that you can turn a VapCap into a volcano don't you?
Fill the bowl with loose herb, not packed. Heat, take a rip. Now put on magnet, pull before the cool click.
Wait for it. the click comes, and the crumbs shoot into the air like a real volcano. It's kinda cool. Doc

So I used to heat when rotating back and fourth. Now I've gotten the hang of rotating in one direction, and I gotta say I think it works a bit better. I seems to get that 1st heating up to temp better than when I go back and fourth. That said, its much more difficult, and I find I have to focus more so that I don't drop the vc or burn myself. If I have time to sit and focus one direction seems to be ideal, but on the go I'll probably stick with back and fourth.

Can you do the same thing with organic cotton or will the cotton combust if its that close to the heat? I have a lifetime supply of organic cotton. RN I have it wedged between the tip and the condenser entrance.
Putting it where you have your hemp would be better for keeping the tip clean.

Dynavap is now officially integrated into my regular use items: I like to have lockable custom stash boxes, but of course VAS changes things over time. I like an enano when with company and when there's time, and the dynavap for personal and quick use. I'm planning on sticking with this D020/enano/Dynavap setup for quite awhile so I made a new box. Has spaces for: 3 airtight storage containers, enano and all stems/GonG adapters, D020, grinder, ronson torch, Dynastash, epic and a screw that exactly fits GonG bowl for stirring/packing, 14mm adapter, and Dynavap tube. It's just cut foam layers in a lockable ammo box with a rubber seal.
I only left room for the possibility of one more dynavap tube (the empty space) as I might get another - but it's a hard limit of 1 now!

I found a fun game to play with my OG + Dynastash. I'm calling it Popcorn.
Here's how it works.....
1. Load a bowl of finely ground material. Pack loosely.
2. Vape bowl until it's done.
3. Place OG on Dynastash magnet.
4. Slowly lift the body off, leaving the cap on the Dynastash. If the material was dry enough and ground finely, it should fall into the cap when the body is lifted.
5, When the cap hits the cooldown click, it launches the material in the air like popping corn.
+1 bonus if both cooldown clicks launch material in the air.
I'm easily entertained.

Pictured above is about 0.75g of reclaim scraped from my lotus over time. It doesn't look like much but it smells amazing and will get me high like nothing else I have access to
So off to my question: will I be able to scrape the vapcap like I did with the lotus and add to that little ball? Or do you guys just soak it in iso? I'd rather not use a solvent if I can!
I agree with your aversion to solvents as a class, but ethanol evaporates cleanly, is safe for consumption, and you can also rinse your grinder and your container(s) in the same wash, as well, too - and "improve your score" @ reclaim - then just evaporate, needn't be elaborate at all
Ethanol & concentrate/reclaim can do one trix: once it's thick, blend in your kif, & add fresh-ground bud to 'soak up' all the resin until you have a well-mixed, friable mass ('comes apart easily'). Pick your music, get comfortable, and....

I see no reason why you couldn't. I've not tried it but I have read of others that have used organic cotton in the chamber as a bed for concentrates etc. I'm sure if would work just as well as a filter.

A vintage cigarette holder dating back to 1919 which was modified and revived into a vapcap stem. No carb? No problem!

In my very short VapCap wish list:
I wish VapCap would offer a shirt pocket clip;
this would provide a super secure, super portable way to transport one's EDC essential. A signature essential.

A metal storage tube with a pocket clip is definitely on top of my Dynavap wish list. I also think that with the new machining equipment it should be a doable thing for the @VapCap crew!

To take it a step further, make them in various widths (to also accommodate the vong) and lengths (to also accommodate @phattpiggie stems).
