@ataxian Omnivaps have Ti tips and spinning Ti tips are now available in place of the wooden tips. You can also have a Ti glassy with no mouthpiece but you know all about glass!

I too think some wood on my lips is...UNCIVILISED however I have a Ti Vong in Blackwood and the wood is so hard and dense it is not a problem to me but that is of course personal taste.

Whatever choice I think a VapCap is the nearest thing to a Joint without smoke.

:peace:

I was having a good browse of the site last night and I stumbled upon a not so obvious combination that might suit @ataxian 's requirement also.
(Please someone correct me here if the following is not a possibility!)

So it would be to buy a Ti Glassy, and buy/fit a Carbon Stem from the parts section. It could be called a Ti Carbon (non-S). Or if you talked to Dynavap they might just provide you with the assembled Ti Carbon.
It results in the only Vapcap where you're not putting wood, Ti, or rubber in your mouth, while being somewhat unbreakable?
It would look like a blackwood Ti Woody, but the black part would be all carbon. I certainly like the thought of it!
The $1 rubber mouthpiece could also be fitted and this mates with WT.

I have a Glass original and I think it will be a while before I break it and it's easy and cheap-ish to replace the parts, but I know everyone's different.
I enjoy the taste and i often repeat micro sessions a few times as desired. But maybe @lazylathe advice should be heeded if you both know your requirements more than I would!

Was just wondering how people like their carbon bodies. Can you use ISO on them?
Although I don't own a carbon yet, this was a question I had. But after getting a basic glass model, I now see that very little condenses to the inner wall of the body, and most condenses on the actual condenser part.
So you could simply warm the carbon a little and run a qtip or other cotton through there, and finish with soapy water or similar. I think!

whats the nicest, most durable, pocket-friendly torch lighter available? I want something sweet. price is not a concern.

Well, I can tell you what I like.

For out and about, I always carry a single jet torch. I choose the single jets because a slim lighter fits nicely inside my @Ratchett Vapcap Pouch or with my Dynastash. I haven't found a double, triple or quad that fits as well in a pocket or pouch.

I suggest cheap lighters as they seem to crap out regardless of price. However, I haven't had any problems with these two models so far. The top one can be bought on eBay for <$10 and Honest lighter is around $20.

I've been using this double I picked up for $10 on eBay a couple months ago. Think I saw it from another vendor that is $8.50 or something. Easily pocketable IMO. I like 2 jets best for quick - but not overdone - heating. Has a small (and hard to see) butane window. Love it except one thing... doesn't hold much butane so requires fills more often than most of my others. Of course, I use it much more often, too!

Warning, incoming wall of text!

I was off for a some holidays on the slopes, and I gave my Omnivap some rough situations to handle!

But before, I'm truly happy to see so many newcomers these days, taking the DynaBoat!
This year will certainly be a huge step forward for the vapcap with all the improvements that George will bring, the beautiful work of @phattpiggie that never cease to impress by its ingeniosity and beauty and I'm not even mentioning the WoodScents of @Ed's TnT because it may cause major VAS attacks :freak:.

Although, hats off for Nick, the Dynavap's webmaster @Web&App for coming here, nice and rare on a forum like FC, but coming from Dynavap that's almost normal ahah!
Then hats off George @VapCap for all the new videos, newcomers will love the heating video and the torch refilling one!

This thread is worse than a black hole, one week off and that's almost a dictionary that I've to read ahah!

@Majordude2626 I'm glad that I've been able to help you, I hope that you'll find a wonderful Dynastash! Although you could ask for a leopardwood, bubinga or a paduak one, they aren't listed on the Dynavap's website yet but they exist!

@ClearBlueLou Thanks for mentioning me, I don't know if I deserve that but I hope that you had enjoyed what you had read! I saw your journey on the Dynavap thread, following you at the rhythm of your likes (almost sound like Corona's song :freak:)
I was a one hitter guy too, and the vapcap is so natural (and entertaining!)!
You'll love your future vapcap without a doubt, you'll be so surprised by his power and his Mojo, as @Squiby says "The vaporizer with a soul".

@Prolusio, your Burl stash and Vong are lovely!! As long with all your other wood pieces, especially the wooden elephant, guarding your stash on the last picture.
And I'm agree with @needalift, love your wood for what it is: a living piece of art!
You don't want an IkeaStash
I also love mine, and his little cracks :luv:

Now get back on the slopes!
It was obviously awesome, we had a great time with my wife, full sun all days and the temperatures was good ( worse temp was -15°c).
The Carbon Omnivap was here, and was as awesome as the slopes!
It takes a lot of times to heat it at - 15°c, almost one minute with my single torch, but it work as great as on the beach, better yet, it's warming you up!
The lack of oxygen at high altitude (3200 meters in my case) can take you even quicker to the edge of combustion (pyrolyse effect) and the first time it was very close, but when aware of that, this is gonna send you even faster to the moon!

And in this trip the best friend of my Omnivap was my special hiking torch.
Here is a little family picture on the slopes, and as you can see, even my skii are aware of the power of the vapcap!

IMG_20170112_131922_01.jpg

(sorry for the picture quality, didn't take the time to take a better one as times on the slopes are pricey ahah!)

This lighter is a beast, it works up to 3600 meters height (can confirm that it works at 3200m where my cheap torch can't), it lights up directly out of my pockets at - 15°c, and it's completely windproof thanks to a little resistive wire that keep the flame alive without changing his color, and it's even emiting some light (about half of a match) allowing you to heat the vapcap in a complete darkness.
Maybe @kellya86, you will want to take a look at it, for your lighter in cold weather :)
He takes some times to heat the vapcap with it but it's windproof, the case seems sufficiently waterproof, and it works even on the top of the world, great for the slopes or for hiking in high mountains, almost made for the indestructible Omnivap!

Now can I say that I've the higher Omnivap in the world ?

Or maybe that's me that's too high ahah!

I had heard that there is some @VapCap porn lover around here, so here is a little shot for you fellow vapcaper.
I hope you'll enjoy this shy OmniBurl

Regarding to lighters. Does anyone have experiences with torch lighter from Vector?

Not cheap but they have a lifetime warranty and there are some interesting devices in their collection.

Especially there is a 3-flame-insert with large butane reservoir. Perfect as a table top lighter covered by a nice customized wooden body or a solid piece of ss.

Regarding MPs my wish list to DynaVap:

1) Offer regularly the spinning ti mp
2) Offer a ti thread with crown to hold customized mp for the Omni
3) Offer other shaped mp like such of cigarette holders

I like the VC. I love its design, its versatility, its function, its accessoires.

But why deleting the shape of line with such a clumpsy mp??

The VC is like a worry stone for your hand but the mp haptically is a desaster to the lips first because of the edges.

@VapCap So please George, offer new options regard to the mp!!

Greetings VC'ers! I'm currently in the process of ordering a Bocote G2M2 Stash, Coco OV, and 2 personalized caps. My question is, does anyone already have a yin-yang symbol digitized through DynaVap? I can tell they are a very busy crew up in Wisconsin. TIA!

As a wood man I knew it would not take you long to crest the ridge & build up some speed.

I have been a bit of a log hog lately but my VonG still gets a workout at least once per day even during a VapCap lull.

The thought of putting Ti in my mouth means it will never happen anytime soon. I like wood & don't mind a wooden mouthpiece one bit. That said I expect I will get a Omni VonG as you can set & forget it for Vonging.

Have you guys seen the new Vong George is preping??? He is a genius this guy...

Ah, choices, choice. All these little peeks at things to come, every time after one of these Vids I go check the site but if course it's not gonna be there:shrug:. Hope they have new stuff on the site soon, I don't want to hassle the good folks at Dynavap asking them all the time about each piece I want that's not on the site.

So I noticed Vapefiend have the Ti & Woody versions back in stock. Thought I'd play it safe and ordered the OG Vapcap first to see what all the fuss is.

Looking foward to playing around with it when I'm feeling better and discovering the technique, it seems pretty simple. Does it take long to cool down? As I can imagine that being a bit tricky on the go.

I use the stash to hold it even when I'm on the go walking down a back street early in the morning. Just pop it on there and like 1.5 seconds later it clicks. It holds that hot cap while I remove the bowl to clear it, too. Without a magnet to hold it, you can blow on it. It doesn't take incredibly long to cool down on it's own....sorry I haven't timed it. Actually I always stick it on the magnet, so I don't really know how long it would take to cool between hits or when done without a magnet.

Hey @Hogni!

Thanks for your lighter link, but...

At least for me it sends me to the grasshopper website. Can you repost your link?

And to @rogrog, in addition to the great torch suggestions here, you may want to check out this thread...

True, I just find iso to be absolutely hassle free. Was also wondering if the carbon fibre affects the taste at all like the wood does or if it's just like titanium or glass.

Heating and cooling is pretty quick. I can take my Vapcap out, load it, heat, toke and repeat a couple times as a minute passes. If you've got a minute, you can get high with a Vapcap.

Heating can take anywhere between 3 - 20 seconds depending on your heat source and how hot you want to heat your chamber. The cap will click when it comes to toking temps. Chamber temps are controlled by where you apply heat to the cap. If you heat near the bottom of the cap, away from the clicking disks, it will take longer to click resulting in a hotter chamber. Heat closer to the top of the cap and the click comes sooner along with a lower temp chamber. I heat starting at the base of the cap and progressively move higher with each cycle. Perfect toast brown ABV every time.

So, once you have heated to a click, you begin your toke. I take about three times before I no longer get a vapor. From there I wait for the cool down click. Now, I wanted to get this info just right, so I sacrificed myself and had a bowl and timed it....for the sake of science... and for you.

Quad lighter, flame set at about a short inch high. First cycle took 5 seconds to heat near the cap base, inner flame almost touching cap, then three good tokes. Cool down after toking was 3 seconds. Second cycle took 3 seconds to the click heating near the middle of the cap. Toke, then a 3 second cool down. Third and final cycle near the top for 2 seconds, toke with a 3 second cool down.

It took way longer to type this than it took to get high with my Vapcap.

"Jeder Jeck ist anders!" means to each his own ;)

But I know a lot of other people who arent really happy with the mp
What is it you dislike about it so much? You say it's a disaster to the lips, but it doesn't have any sharp edges or anything, it's got a nice curved indentation to set your lips into or a finger while you're turning it for stability, I am just not seeing any issues with it?
