What's the consensus on using a Ti tip with the M?
The tip is about the same price as the M itself
Do you guys think it's worth the upgrade price?

I have the Omni so am used to the TI
Going to get a M soon but debating on the tip upgrade

I'm gonna have to try out that tip upgrade I have the lego parts in place:science:

Get the ti glassy instead of a tip you'll probably break the stem sooner than later even if you're careful, but it comes with a new tip and a shiny cap as a bonus extra mouthpiece and condenser bam you're done.

Hi vapcappers been away a while been enjoying my caps.

I emailed Matt a few days ago on an email address I had from before christmas. Do people still message him for custom stuff and order advice? Just getting twitchy and looking to finally order the Omni.

Testing out VapCap Cooler Setup with new Internal Rimless Basket Screen installed!

Why the screen? I'm one who likes to squeeze every little bit of goodness out of a VapCap bowl, so I empty out the VapCap into palm of my hand and grind it up a bit, then put it back into the VapCap for one last rip. Doing this however has a negative effect, little bits make it past the screen and into the cooler. With the internal screen installed, when done with a session, blowing through the cooler (with VapCap removed) does remove most of the bits that the screen has captured.

Will post follow up pics just prior to next cleaning of the cooler so the "quality of reclaim" can be seen.

After 4 days of solid VapCapping, testing out cooler with internal screen, things look promising.
Notice the blowup of the internal glass of the cooler. Those droplets are NOT water, they are resin and they are CLEAR. Not orangy or brown.
Does this mean that all those pics of orangy brown reclaim is actually resin with billions of embedded herb bits? Don't know.
But plan to continue to use this setup until...
1) that internal screen clogs
2) it's time for next cooler cleaning (this time it looks like it's gonna be a while! that screen really helps keep the internals clean, so far)

So expect further "testing" and more pics!!!!

I like it. Great solution to get it up and running. How's it working out for you. In looking forward to testing.

@PeteSeattle its scheduled to be here on the 13th. Batteries cane in today and it's just a waiting game. I'll post pics when I can. That piece is awesome.

Vapecappers that are also milaana users, have you ever encountered a strain that works much better in one than the other? I have some critical mass that tastes a bit off in my vapcaps, and produces substandard vapor. But in the milaana it's fine. My theory so far is that the batch I have has suffered a bit of uv-related cbd > cbn degradation/oxidation, from being displayed in glass tubes--which look very nice but probably should only be displayed one at a time. The difference in vaping is obviously conduction vs. convection.

Is it obvious though? Take a look at the Vapcap again. It's a hybrid of conduction and convection.

I've noticed that hitting higher temperatures is sometimes what makes or breaks a strain. Some just don't produce much vapour until 430F, and this is the weak spot for the Vapcap as it doesn't spend much time at peak temperature. The Milaana can maintain the temperature in that higher range allowing for the higher temp compounds to boil off properly.

Well ,I think i've managed to get the absolute carb control from my VCs.

3x 1,5mm Dia. carb holes instead of 1x 2mm Dia.

With a slight curve to match the cigar shape ..
(And weirdly enough Iroko wood kinda resembles tobacco leaves rolled together ,in my eyes at least...:freak: )

Now ,I can go from fully closed carb to "1/3 "open to "2/3 "open to fully open .
At 2/3 position the total incoming air is about the same with a fully open standard carb hole.
At 3/3 (fully open all three holes ) it draws 50% more air than the standard carb hole ( 2mm Dia. ) .
Samewise ,at 1/3 position it draws about half the air than a standard fully open carb.

Cheers.

Love that wood grain.
For hand whittling that thing Jed Clampett style, that came out lovely.
That top hole being sightly askew would bug the shit out of me though. :p
Glad you posted another pic cause it deserved more love.

Nah,it doesn't bug me .
On the contrary ,it cooperates fine with my fingertip.;)
Well,it's barely just a quick-made trial.
I bet Winegums would have thrown that away.
( planning to give that away to a friend ,as soon as I'll made myself a new one )
It's not nicely made ,but it has awesome grain
and those three litlle carb holes do provide fine air control.
Here's a "family" one :

I probably would have scrapped it to be honest. I like the triple hole idea though!

Do you think a 4th hole would ruin the air flow? I'd guess so, otherwise you probably would have made it with 4 :p. But I was thinking if you put another hole that's offset to match that first one, it might look like an intentional crescent moon design? Just a thought! I think it looks cool either way.

Love that Iroka wood.. Hearing you shaped it by hand with files, and seeing that it turned out so good, makes me want to try making one too. Then there's your Ti colouring updates too.. Great work!:tup:

I've had this Ti Woody for 4 months now and just recently started mouthpulling with it. IDK why I didn't do it sooner. Lung pulls are what I've been programmed for my entire life, and that's why I thought the vapor was harsh. Straight lungpulling on the VC w/ the carb covered most of the time was filling the lungs past the threshold before I realized it, making me cough really hard sometimes. But mouthpulls using the same carb technique allow me thick hits w/ minimal or no coughing.. I'm not sure why this is, but it really does make a difference in the satisfaction I get from using this vape. The more time that goes by the more I just love this thing as I perfect the technique.
I also find that hand-grinding the bud is a great medium between using whole bud (great taste, thinner clouds) and finely ground nugs (thick clouds, less emphasized taste). When I hand grind, pack tight, and use mouthpulls, I seem get it all - superb taste, good clouds, very little harshness.
