WOW! I forgot how pretty that piece was. You really managed to capture the figuring in that wood.

Enjoy it!
Oh, l am enjoying it. Looks awesome and is a pleasure to spin, and is tapered just enough tip got my 14mm bubbler.
The figuring was easy to capture on this, just pops and I catch myself staring at it during this honeymoon phase.

A quandary...
The birthday genie hath bestowed upon me the gift of a Vapcap!
I really had my eye on a TiOmni and they currently seem to be out of stock.
I am trying to decide if I would be happy with a wood style Omni or if I should wait for the Ti.

Opinions?
I say get an omnivong now and add the ti body later. You'll be water piece ready and if your like me, you will like the extra girth on the nanovong body for spinning while heating.

Hello everyone!

I just took some photos of my new pieces, and can now comment on what I am feeling about those latest acquisitions, mixed with some pieces I already owned....

resize_IMG_0502.jpg

First let me throw a huge shoutout to the OG, where all the fun started! Has its place in the collection and the rotation eventually, as well.

resize_IMG_0460.jpg

Then, lets talk about the "M" that just arrived a few days ago, along with the Ti woody S and a carbon fiber body.

I did not test it long and thoroughly enough, I believe. But, first impressions is that it looks like a very sturdy and almost impossible to break. I feel the Dynavap quality is there. The bowl material and size is great for letting go 1 or 2 seconds beyond the click, specially during first heat up. A cloud creating device, definately, worth further some testing.

resize_IMG_0455.jpg

This is the best combination I found at the moment, my go to choice!
The omnivap, dressed in a sooooo sexy Carbon body, using the latest generation Ti tip. Absolutely efficient, gorgeous, and looks pretty hard to break. Teaming a Dynavap (specially an Omni) with a Dynastash is perfect combination.

resize_IMG_0450.jpg

Carbon, Body!!! Did I mention it looks so nice and sexy?

resize_IMG_0475.jpg

My VC "Bodies" collection is growing! ... as soon as the next sale comes, more pieces will join these! :)

resize_IMG_0470.jpg

My Ti woody, did not come in this latest (4/20) order. But, I find it quite sexy, as well. And, I started using the stem upside down, and realized I should have chosen double crown stem, instead of single crown.

resize_IMG_0468.jpg

My first spinning mouthpiece Vapcap, which arrived days ago from the 4/20 sale.
To be honest, I found spinning the vapcap holding the mouthpiece much harder to do than what I am used to (spinning the whole vapcap). Further testing will come, of course, and I might learn some easier method, or spin the whole vapcap as I find much easier to.

resize_IMG_0483.jpg

Another combination, changed the Ti woody S body. What a pleasure it is to play changing their clothes :)

resize_IMG_0497.jpg

Mix & Match pieces produced this "M vong" with stainless steel condenser and tip

resize_IMG_0491.jpg

Another mix&match combo. Omni with the recent Ti woody body. Quite sexy!!

resize_IMG_0488.jpg

Mixing, matching and came into a "Ti Ti S", combinng the Tiwoody S condenser, mouthpiece and Tip with an omni Titanium body.

resize_IMG_0476.jpg

Ti Glassy S, mixing the glass omni body with the Ti woody S

resize_IMG_0501.jpg

A SS woody. Using the "M" tip and condenser, matching the woody single crown stem.

resize_IMG_0481.jpg

Ti carbon S, another awesome gorgeous alternative I came up with

resize_IMG_0453.jpg

The latesst generation (4th gen?) Ti tips are definitely improved. Pairing with the Omni controlled airflow, I can achieve gianr clouds without big effort, and no need to mouthpull.

So, I take a chance again to thank George and all the staff at Dynavap for the top quality of their products and customer service. The only doubt I'm left with at the moment: "When is the next sale going on?" :)

Take care everyone,
Cheers!

X2.
with my new XLS, same thing as it seemed harder to use than with a non-spinning MP. It tended to spin the whole piece anyhow/ the MP spun right with the main body. That's why I asked IF there is a way to make the MP spin more freely and never got an answer. Trying to firmly grip the spin-able MP at the base of my fingers, yet it spun with the body.
Does the MP spin easier after some more use??

Both are great choices. I would get your hands on a Woody then order a Ti body later.

Just a note to say that after receiving my last magnet order (2 9/16" cubes and a 3/4" disc) and having little success or progress towards my goal (a stronger desktop magnet for cooling and removing hot caps) I am giving up on this project.
I will say that while these incredibly strong magnets can make for some fun toys and entertaining mr wizard projects, the force of the attraction is serious, and it wouldn't be hard to hurt yourself. https://www.dropbox.com/s/qsvo9s64yvczmdh/20170520_181619.mp4?dl=0

What an outstanding Lego set. You pretty much have all the various components to make a VC to satisfy any mood or circumstance. Very impressive, and quite lovely.

I'll vape to that!!!
Where can I get one for under 55 dollars shipped?! I'm desperate!
I'm talking about the Vapcap M!
Isn't it just $57 direct from DynaVap? I doubt you are gonna find it for less unless it's from the classifieds...

Added:
Tho this is a reply to @MinnBobber I put it up here cause I really don't think this convo deserves another post... :disgust:

So then what does my playing with it become? Personally I like the sound it makes and that it takes almost 10 sec to stop undulating.

Anybody else think this magnetic stack looks like a "magnetic boner? Or is it just me with my mind in the gutter? :)

it's easy to get the idea that there are big differences in performance from portions of this thread, but the consensus from the 'old hands' who've experienced all the variants of the DV line is that those differences are pretty subtle. the M, being stainless steel, not titanium, seems to need a longer heat-up, and retains heat a bit longer, but otherwise it's a matter of taste. the omni is indestructible, but fragility is really only an issue with the OG (glass) - I haven't seen any reports of non-glass VCs breaking. my suggestion is to buy the one that you think looks the coolest - the performance will be the same whichever you choose (above comments about the M notwithstanding).

Had my Dynavap kit for a few months now and still loving it. Found that I didn't use the 'stash' part of the DynastashER, and also that I really like to use this with my 18mm wp. The fat mouthpiece is ok for 14mm but using an 14-18 adapter is a drag (and the fat mp sticks like crazy to the glass, causing the adapter to come out with it sometimes), so I made my own integrated wp adapter to replace the stash container.

I cast this out of food-grade heat tolerant silicone that's typically used in baking. The taper is made for 18mm but I included a lip around the top to keep it snug in the Dynastash. It creates a great seal both around the dynavap and the glass. Easy to take on and off for storage, but convenient to leave on all other times so that you can stand it on end and get some protection from dropping.

Hope you all like it, it's helped to almost replaced my enano for daily use!

That's a really nice piece!
Thanks :D it was a last minute thing to add the dye.

Do you have a pic of this piece before you dyed it? It would be interesting to see what attracted the dye.
Unfortunately I don't have a picture of it before. I do know that the knots with very dense wood don't take dye and that the dye uptake varies depending on the wood grain orientation. If end grain is exposed it will dye darker, while the face grain will dye lighter. Since wood is like bundles of straws, it absorbs more on the end than on the side. With figured woods like burl, the wood grain is wavy or distorted in some way that it is not straight. This means that when it's cut into you get end grain and face grain on the same surface making the optical tricks that we all love.

Maybe I'm just weird, but I keep thinking that would be the perfect piece to use while listening to this album:

I your stuff must be stronger than mine. :whoa:

nice, I use @Ratchett 's silicone water piece attachment that I had originally bought for my crafty. It's a little bigger than yours, sits much deeper in the vapcap, and creates a fantastic 18mm seal to my d-020 bubbler.

-With this attachment
-Closed carb with tape
-Heating with a 2 torch lighter focused on the N

I get white walling clouds on my first cycle while never heating past the click.

I had the money to get one, and George offered his help on payment! I'm grateful for that! Unfortunately I ended up spending some of it on herbal blends so I'm gonna have to save up again! George you've got a guaranteed customer here! I love the product your business has created and you've got my support

Sorry I don't have a pic but I have access to a lot of bamboo and river cane in my area. Been cutting 5 or 6 inch lengths ( between nodes, right up to the edge of a node- to keep flared end) and carefully cramming my M tip-no o rings into flared end. Fat MP from dynavap with tip cut off sits right on flared tip of bamboo to keep M tip sealed/stop bamboo from cracking. Made a couple awesome M ' bambooeys. '

I love my bamboo stem that I made a month or two ago. The trick is finding that perfect diameter piece so that the tip fits. I wrapped mine because it was starting to split. The flavour from one of these is excellent, something about the bamboo makes it so much tastier.

I think the wrapping (cotton thread?) looks great. I'd do it just for aesthetics let alone the added support it gives the end. Nice one @Winegums!
