So in order to recognize other members of our tribe I just have to look for black fingers or is that only the cheap so and so like me who is using a Bic? Seriously, does better butane and lighter help?
Do you like this torch ? This was my first torch and I had to fill it either everyday or sometimes if I was lucky , every other day . I was afraid to leave with it on me without a backup . Maybe I just got a dud , but I wasn't very impressed and it turned me off of Zico for sure . I hope you are getting better results
I'm using a triple torch right now with the ccd in the second position . I use the suck like a straw method to load ( not a tight pack ) . I also continually spin just above the actual flame in the light ghost flame and it only takes 10-12 seconds for the first click . 5-7 seconds for additional clicks if I don't let it cool too long .

Are there supposed to be 2 clicks for heating and 2 for cooling?
Mine absolutely/positively only has one click each direction and the heating click is like 1/5 the volume of the cooling click and the heating click has almost no vibration.
- I get the one faint heating click after about 4 seconds of triple torch. I continue for another 3 or 4 seconds and no second click.
- when cooling I have the unit up to my ear and get a little scratch noise/almost imperceptible, followed a second later by a nice volume pop AND and nice big vibration.
With the one cooling click I see/hear/feel what it should be like but the heating click ain't even in the same ballpark for noise and vibration. I need a seismograph to feel the single heating click.
Frustrated so far...
Could someone please verify there should be 2 clicks each direction??
And should the heating click(s) be as big as the cooling clicks?
Thanks

The cap contains two disks. When the cap is heated the disks buckle, creating a clicking sound. The second disk is a built in redundancy. A fail safe. If one fails the other comes through.Could someone please verify there should be 2 clicks each direction??

I have a few custom stems that are thin and long. I have noticed that the click vibration is much stronger using the them.I need a seismograph to feel the single heating click.
I was thinking that. A too full bowl might interfere with the click. Experimentation is required...I've noticed that my click is quiet if there's anything touching the disks. So that might be a possible reason why you're not hearing your click very well.
That is a BEAUTY!!!

....................................................Hi Bob - you were doing pretty up until the "I continue...." part. Hear a click, stop NOW.
Thanks for that.Bic - held above the flame about 2mm a from bottom of cap. 15 seconds
Single jet - up and down motion to cover bottom half of cap. 9 seconds
Double jet - 8 seconds
Triple jet - 5 seconds
Quad jet - 3-4 seconds
Things noticed:
there's only one click at-temp now - probably the whole tip is heating so rapidly that there's only 'time' for one;
the clicks seem to be coming from the BASE of the tip - not from the cap (not that it matters?);
On my next Dynavap order, I'm adding a couple more of these things: if you're giving Ms to your friends, give one of these, too - they'll be even happier!
Yet, I meant EXACTLY what you knew...Autocorrect made me sound entirely too vaped again .
You take the highest quality photos of vapcaps I've ever seen. Do you have more pics with carbon body/stems? I'm deciding whether to get carbon instead of blackwood, also with a used cap to see how it'd really look.While the VapCap continue to conquer the heart of his new members , would you take a cup of weekly propaganda?
