That would be such an amazing thing to pull off, *ding* and it pops up like toast.Someone once mentioned a stash with an electric heater (as a wild idea), now that would be awesome.

Yes because then we are back to batteries again, which kinda defeats the purpose of having this vape, at least for me.Let's make one with a class 1 laser device hidden inside the stash! Just have to find a way to get over the power source hurdle.

Yes! I keep waiting for someone crazy to make a laser powered vape. I've gotten frustrated with torches, it's my least favorite part about torch vapes. Especially when it's bright, windy, or I want to be stealth. I love my torch vapes though.Let's make one with a class 1 laser device hidden inside the stash! One 18650, a switch? It could be milaana simple, because of the cap. Then again, I'm definitely not an EE. It would be at least a little heavier and bulkier, but if it was still pocketable, it would be an *amazing* stealth vape.I know what you mean, but also kinda like the fact that a VC can be heated with anything INCLUDING electricity.
An electric stash would definitely contribute somewhat to stealth, and appeals to me, but seems un-achievable without a fairly large increase in size.
We don't have to choose one OR the other with the VC though, and to me that's just another reason to celebrate!
Here you go:Just copped some screens and a lighter from puffitup in preparation for my vapcap, anything I'm missing (besides the butane and the vape)? Also any tips on how to replace the ceramic screen with the flowermate one? I know I saw a post about it and how to do it but I can't seem to find it again, so even a link to the previous post would suffice haha as you can tell, the wait is killing me!
I actually just did this myself. I did an empty heat cycle to loosen everything up. After it cooled down enough to handle, I removed the Ti tip and then used a bamboo skewer to gently press the ceramic screen out. I inserted the skewer from the mouthpiece side of the tip. The ring will pop out so make sure you don't lose it. It might be best to do this over a small bowl so the pieces fall in it.
You should be able to get bamboo skewers at any grocery store, or even the dollar store. A toothpick might even work.
Nah, I'm with Vaporeyes and just changed out my ceramic for an 8 mm Ti screen last night. As said, remove the Ti end. From the mouthpiece end of it, insert something approximately the diameter of the ceramic screen. Bamboo skewers were mention as are disposable chop sticks you get with asian food.
I have a punch set so just use one of those that fit.
I also agree, do this over a bowl or plate as that spring washer is VERY small.
To put back in, insert the screen, then work the spring washer into the opening and work it down with your chop stick until its down and flat all around. This is where a set of punches really works well as I can pick on the exact right size but absolutely not needed. Chopstick is a great alternative.
Cheers
I installed my titanium screen in my OmniVap last night. The process went well except my spring clip was a little loose so it wouldn't hold the screen securely. I simply stretched it out a tiny bit and now everything is safe and snug.

It's funny, those are some Pipe Bits I saw at a local smoke shop recently while looking for torches, pipe cleaners, and other stuff. I picked them up because they were only $2 for 2 and they looked like something that might come in handy later to use with water. I figured I would eventually find a vape that worked with them. So I bought them and threw them in my vape accessory box.@Stevenski
I really like the idea of a dynastash heater. An inductive coil and a battery. Better yet if you find the right timing for the heating and program it in. Don't even need to listen for the click. Press the button in your pocket, wait a few seconds, pull out the cap and inhale. Doesn't get much more stealth than that.
@Vapor_Eyes
What are you using to connect your Omni to water? Looks sleek.
Here you go:
I know @Vapor_Eyes just addressed this but I actually did this today and ran into some issues. Getting the screen out was no issue. But holy fuck I was not prepared for the frustration that would ensue from not being able to get that retaining ring seated. I didn't have chopsticks, skewers, or a dowel. I removed the screen with the condenser and that wasn't working for seating the ring. I thought I was getting close using some toothpicks but that fucking screen kept flipping on me.
Put everything away and came back to it this evening after getting some advice from @Squiby. Thought it was only proper to get nice and medicated off a cap on the OG before continuing…lol. Well I saw a pencil and looked at the eraser end and thought that would be perfect. Pulled the eraser and used the hollow metal end to seat the retaining ring. Applied a little pressure and it was good to go. So fucking simple. Wish I had of thought of that this afternoon. Keep in mind this was just a basic yellow #2 pencil. Oh and the reason I didn't just use an unsharpened pencil is because I didn't have one.
Oh, and to add on to the unplugged nature of the VC, I haven't even touched my grinders.
The ring goes on top of the screen, towards the cap, not the mouthpiece. Take a close look at the Ti tip before you disassemble anything. Maybe even take a picture with your phone. Thanks guys! Does that ring you're talking about go around the screen or behind it? I'm guessing it'll be pretty straight forward with a pencil and the vape actually out in front of me so I have a visual of what you're talking about
No extra costs through customs man! I think George declares smaller value for his packages as well for that reason... I think either PIU or Dynavap would be great sources. Thanks a lot mates, you convinced me easily to go with the VapCap !!
I live in Athens so do you know @natural farmer or anybody if there any extra costs, taxes for shipping to Greece ?
I am very exciting about this magical vape and a little confused about parts and accessories..
I prefer minimum draw resistance, so is the original vapcap ok for me or to go for Ti glassy with the double barrel ti glassy stem ?
Probably I will order the original VapCap+Pyrolab combo pack with torch for start and see. Could you suggest me all the accessories and extra parts I need so I can place one order? Useful things or things that need replacement soon. I will use herbs, hash, tobbaco, e-juice.
Now a silly question, when you write OG do you mean the original glassy VapCap ?
Peace and love !!
From what I could find online live rubber is just natural rubber (latex) and should be fine in the vapor path. One website did say to avoid solvents and oils if possible. I'm sure that means iso is out of the picture for cleaning which is fine. The part about oils concerns me a little bit.
Thank you so much for the info. Technically the vapor doesn't even pass over the rubber, but there is a possibility for the vapor to contact the rubber in the 14mm joint if it drifts up.Bear in mind that the reason the websites state to avoid solvents & oils is because they can weaken the structure of the latex creating small holes. Strangely this is highly relevant to infection control & cross contamination such as aged care solutions or condoms (that is why it is a big no no to use baby oil as a lubricant with condoms).
For what your application is I would be more concerned with a rubber taste rather than heat degradation & if you gave the tip a quick wipe down with Iso there won't be any real issue.
