This one is an amboyna (spelling?)burl omnivap body. I also have another burl stem I got a while ago thats pretty solid.

Edit.. Only reason I'm slightly worried is because I dont want the cracks to get worse with the heating and cooling of the device.
I was thinking it may be red mallee or amboyna Burl. Idk man I'm not a woodsman by any means but some times cracks can be desirable or if nothing else just a cosmetic thing, maybe post a pic and someone who knows more about wood than me can tell you if they are potential issues. There is a good thread called share your wood or something like that where you could get some help too.

Yep those are the options, I have yet to see anyone cut a condenser but that's my plan because I don't have interest in a mp on my dedicated water piece. We'll see how it goes when I get it.

Please let us know how this goes. I was eyeing a 18mm shorty but don't want to add a mp. Perhaps in the future there could be an option to add a "shorty condenser" to your purchase.

Does the dynastash fit in your pocket? I figure it's at least like a wallet in that it fits as long as there's nothing else in the pocket.

Maybe the measurements are on the site somewhere. Unless you have tiny pockets I am sure it is pocketable, but back when I got my first dugout cargo pants/shorts were popular. :D I would venture to say it will fit in mens jeans just fine unless they are some fashionable skinny jeans or something along those lines, but I don't think anyone wears those any more, much like the old cargo pants/shorts. Still to this day I do like deep pockets though.

If it doesn't fit in your pocket I bet someone would purchase it from you. I would suggest emailing George to ask and then post the dimensions.

Finally!

I have been trying to get a number of things ready so I can finally get beck to one of my favorite things. This community. So now that I have a few minutes as everyone around me is sleeping, I can try to get everyone up to date with all, I mean some of what is going on.

First. I must give a shout out to Matt. As many of you may know, Matt is my main assistant. I could not ask for a better one. Really. Even though our backlog is a bit longer than we would like it to be (more on that in a few paragraphs) it would be much longer if it wasn't for his diligence and dedication and attention to detail. Thank you Matt!

Next, this is the rather challenging part. I mentioned a price increase a while back, and now as Dynavap is growing to the point where it makes sense to begin work with a few reputable retailers, we will have to raise some of our prices a little to make it all work. I hope this is OK and understood by everyone. We really do strive to keep our customers happy, and although no one like price increases they happen. I hope by giving a heads up here I can spare you some of the pain if you are considering joining the Dynavap family, or thinking about adding another member. To be more specific, it currently looks like the OG VapCap will go up to $35 and the Ti Woody up to $80. At this point, those are it for increases.

Now for some good news.
There have been requests for a more accommodating DynaStash since the introduction of the XL kits and the wood mouthpieces. Well they are officially here.

This is a Standard cocobolo Ti Woody with an XL kit on top of a DynaStashER XL.

And this one is a bocote DynaStashER 2 next to it.

It is one mouthpiece longer.

Now the best news! We have just passed another milestone. We now have sales in 40 countries! Thank you FC members. I am sure reddit has helped as well, but most of all it is the sharing. How cool is it to make a product that promotes sharing?
It is really awesome for me to see orders coming in from more people in the same areas. I hope to have a way to map it all out over time some day, just to better understand it.

On top of all that, we are in the midst of another significant improvement in our production and order fulfillment. We have another staff member coming online and will be holding interviews for more highly motivated and dedicated people interested in joining our adventure. Since our main focus at this point is scaling our capabilities while improving our product quality, we are looking for some help with automation and other manufacturing. Our goal is to keep production and assembly where it is and not outsource.

So all in all, I am absolutely thrilled with the progress of everything, and ever so thankful for the support AND patience extended to me by this community. I truly love what I do! In my mind, I have the best job in the world, and there is nothing I would rather do, and I fully understand that this would not be the case if it weren't for all the suggestions I have received here, and the support from so many kind and generous people. That said, if it hasn't been made clear before, we love feedback and suggestions.

Cheers!

George

More staff, 40 countries and AN XL DYNASTASH!!
WOOOOT WOOOOT!!
Congrat's George on what must truly be a dizzying pace of development :o

I've really fallen for my DynastashER, it is amazingly convenient, and just such a pleasure to use (and just fiddle with!) but since I have an XL kit I am delighted that an XL stash is now available, I will definitely be buying one

I have a noob question.

What kind of condenser is in the Titanium-woody basicly ?

I wonder to swap the basic condenser with an XL Stainless condenser with mouth-piece. Is this Worth ?

Still worth every penny.

I still love how this is the best complimentary vape for your other vapes. This morning I've been getting super nice flavour rips from the nano that are barely even browning the herb. I can't seem to get any more vapour using the nano at this temp but I'm sure she's got plenty THC saved up for the Vapcap later!

There are two types of stainless steel condensers available; the Standard and the XL Condenser.

The Ti Woody comes with the Standard Condenser. The standard Ti Woody is approx 3.5 inches in length and does not have a mouth piece attached on the end of it. It is similar to the length of a regular cigarette

If you prefer having a mouthpiece on your Woody, you have two options:

You can swap out the Standard Condenser for the XL Condenser with mouthpiece. This will increase the length of your Woody to approx 4.25 inches. Similar to the length of a king sized cigarette.

If you prefer the shorter original 3.5 inch length, you can swap out the standard length wood stem for a short body and add a mouth piece.

Both are great. It depends on whether you prefer the shorter version or the longer one. I have both and I love both, but for me I think the short body version has a slight leading edge. I have small female hands and I think the short body fits in my hand a bit nicer. If you have large hands, you might prefer the longer version.

I have not noticed any performance difference between the two.

Hello everybody !
Long time lurker of this thread, tired of seeing all this dyna'porn, yesterday i've pulled the trigger and directly pre-ordered an omnivap with a sandblasted body.
I'm already impatient, and I think this little stuff will be awesome as my first butane vape!
I've too much electric devices, and I need an indestrucible, zombie's proof vape

I'm impressed about Dynavap and how they stand behind us. It's a fresh air in this awfull capitalistic society for me ! It's been a pleasure to deal with Matt, and all this good vibes in this thread, you guys are almost make my cry !

I'm glad to join the Dynavap Familly!! :science:

And this how the D.A.S the V.A.S.

Great news George! Those price changes are reasonable and I am happy to see the work with vendors! I love that you guys are trying to keep production here in the states and not outsource things. I am sure that some of these parts could be outsourced in Mexico or China making your life easier but the product could suffer and it's great to see a company not cut those corners for once.

The XL stash is awesome for those who went with the XL condensers. I went short body because I like a MP on all the time even with water. It's the spin while heating that really does it for me  but I know some people realky don't like a MP all the time so that's great because the DynastashER is one of my favorite things about this product..

Idk about everyone here but I grew up with a dugout and a onehitter as my first piece that was mine to medicate with. I used that little wooden dugout I got from Venice beach for over a year before I gifted it away at some festival, think it was the giving tree at coachella, maybe that's daisy carnival I forget. I gave it away because I had gotten into nice glass by then. But seriously the DynastashER makes me feel so nostalgic.. Like it's literally a dugout with a onehitter VAPE in it!!! So awesome.

Even though I don't have mine yet. I know my VonG, stash and new MP will make for a pretty awesome little collection :) Maybe I'll get another extraction tip and cap so I can have 2 pieces all the time
Cheers FC
Stay Vaped :peace::leaf:

anybody knows what the "double crown" option is? (for the ti woody)

The Cocobolo stem on the Ti Woody below has a double crown; a thin band of metal wrapped around both ends. It protects the ends which are probably the most vulnerable part of the stem from possible cracks and heat from the tip.

nEjltDc.jpg

If you don't choose the double crown, you will have only one crown on the tip end of the woody stem. Like this.

I haven't
jBty1GP.jpg
MKow1zS.jpg

W9tech titanium coil after quite a bit of smashing/reshaping. I quickly torched it, and it's saturated in oil which is why it appears so dark.

So far the vapor has been pretty inconsistent? Usually very wispy. I'm still testing though.

I haven't tried the Herc pad myself but I've found that I have to heat 2-3 seconds beyond the click to get decent clouds from my concentrate, but it's definitely possible to get big cloudy rips from concentrates in hemp fiber.

I preordered an omnivap quite a while ago before there was even an option for a sandblasted finish. Some pages back, some people here didn't care for it. Any preferences for sandblasted or smooth?

My 12V induction heater and coil arrived and it works but isn't what we are looking for..

sy2wb8.jpg

So, it heats the Vapcap to click in 3 seconds or so which is fantastic.I am using a 12V 10A rated power supply.

The issue I'm having is the induction coil is causing the cap to click a little prematurely.

Trying my best to explain why this happens...I think, when using a torch, Vapcap relies on conductive heat from the cap body into the clicking bimetal disc, which warps the disc and creates the click and the correct vaporisation temperature.

When using the induction coil, the coil is heating the bimetal clicking disc and the cap body simultaneously. The heater isn't fussy and heats the full mass of metal inside the coil at the same rate, which causes the early click.

As an experiment It works...I heat beyond the click a little and its creating clouds. It doesn't appear to be vaping the bowl evenly though.combustion is much easier than with the torch.

I may try turning Volts down to see if that effects anything.

more testing is needed:D

Who am I to argue about that..in an hour or so it will be 4:20.:haw:

Edit: the whole unit can get hot if left plugged in.Its definitely a bit of fun for testing induction on the vapcap.....but not to be taken seriously as a safe heating device for home use.

Edit 2:Having put a few bowls through my Vapcap using the induction heater.I am very medicated but so far I can't get even vaporisation.the top of the bowl cooks quicker and combustion is easy which never happens with a torch.

The main concern though, there is a toxic stench of hot circuit board and circuitry coming from the unit wafting into my nose and affecting my senses.....I've pulled the power and gone back to my torch again.

Im looking forward to the heating device @VapCap has in the works.

Thanks for your ingenuity & tireless work George:rockon:

It makes things too easy for Us

I just got one of these too, but wont have time to test it out for a while as I'm out of town.
I have a suggestion, and a question if I may:
Question - are the straight 'legs' of the coil soldered to the board? (in my ignorance I assumed that they would go in the green wire clamps opposite the power cable, but I'm almost certainly wrong eh?)

Suggestiom- try keeping the actual cap out of the coil by finding a piece of suitable metal tubing that is big enough to loosely fit over the VC, and simultaneously inside the coil.
Cut it so that it protrudes from the coil enough to provide conductive heat without the VC actually being inside the coil.
This would presumably slow things down though.
It would also allow you to try different 'insertion depths' for possibly different results by simply sliding the tube further into/out of coil.

The coil I got certainlt looks like there would be room for a tube between the coil and VC.

No they are not.You will need a decent soldering iron and electronic solder to solder the legs onto the board I used a 50Watt iron.an electronics iron typical 25Watt may not provide enough heat to solder the heavy copper coil legs onto the circuit board. You will also need a pretty hefty psu to power it and a 5.5 x2.1 power socket to accept a standard 12V psu Jack This is the psu I bought to use as a bench supply.

There is...Great idea converting induction to conduction & it should work,so long as my power supply has enough grunt to heat the extra tube, which it should.I have some SS tube here that will surround the vapcap.i would only need a few inches or less.I will try it first light & report back.

The stinky fumes from the hot pcb and coil when it's hot is too much to bear indoors tonight.I think it's the coatings on the components and the coil burning off which hopefully will fade after a few sessions.
I'm nice and medicated after using the coil even if the flavour isn't great just yet.

Outdoor testing under the morning sun will be nice start to the day no doubt.
