RG, always had to scratch my :hmm: with the hunny collectors (no O-rings), that came with your
OG glass stems. Thought it was some random freebie. Now that I have seen it repurposed as a mouth piece it kinda makes sense.

Question is, would it be a cooler setup if the tip was cut off. From the residue, it
Seems with the extended tip, the hot vapor path is very short.

There's sort of a sweet spot to it the way it is currently set up. It's a little tricky to find it but once you have found that sweet spot of exactly how to hit that set up you may very well never change it back again. lol

The only two ways I set up the 2mm xl stem now, is with XL condenser and spinning mouthpiece or with that nectar collector tip inserted as a mouthpiece and no condenser.

That nectar collector tip used as a mouthpiece, for me, is the perfect compromise between condenser and no condenser.

When I describe the set up to people, I like to call it a partial mini condenser with built-in mouthpiece. lol

Happy Vaping! :leaf:

@stark1 its just a happy accident that they fit as MP's. Thanks @thejackalsmark . They did go out as freebees. Now you still get both the tip and stem if you buy either.

I have thought about cutting the condenser off but decided against it. There is something about it that just works.

Its actually pretty interesting because for some reason, Geoerg probably knows, the vapor goes below the opening of the condenser.

I've only used the M. So, please excuse the ignorance of this question.

It seems that most custom pieces I see are HUGE by comparison to the M. Does that make them easier or more difficult to spin in your hand? And does the larger size make it difficult to find the airhole?

I find it MUCH easier to spin when longer.
Air hole is basically the same to find. As many have suggested- line up the digger-outer with the air hole and you can visually find it no matter the size.

Picked up my M! Seems like there was some patina already on the cap.

The cap had machine oil residue in it and I felt like I needed to dip it in 4:1 water to iso. Much better now, I hope?

I can’t wait to get her dried up and ready for a maiden voyage!

Bigger is definitely easier to spin IMO. Also, I believe, through my usage, that a longer condenser is cooler than a stock length one.

Why is the vapcap recommended not to be cleaned with iso?

They really recommend not soaking and minimal ISO on the O rings

Because you use a flame to light it and ISO is flammable. As long as you rinse well with water - all good.

I never understood why anyone would use a flame on it if it still had ISO on it......I mean you would have to use it just after cleaning it. I just thought it was common sense to rinse it off well and then dry it before use.

100% - it’s been drying for hours now. I’ll pick it up tomorrow morning for her maiden voyage. I think I knew right from wrong, but @Jill NYC has to explain it to me in clearer and smaller words :)

DynaVap's warning about the use of ISO is pretty much the same as that yellow sticker that warns not to drive with your head sticking out of your sunroof. The lawyers insist on it...
