Would you go condenser-less with an M, TI or Vong if you had a slick MP?
I don't think I'd go without a condenser when using a wooden stem, Ti or SS should be ok though.
Someone a while back, had A HORRIBLE mishap with concentrates and their NonaVong XLS! Shit seeped, somehow, from tip into the wood where the tip goes in and left an AWFUL discoloration and mess.
@Skunkport @TheThriftDrifter why not wood? I have not tried it with a Vong but I love my condenser-less Hickory @danielj stem and I used to have wood pipes.
@thejackalsmark I agree about concentrates in wood. But I think glass is really the only suitable stem material for concentrates. Purely just so you can see when you accidentally suck a bunch of reclaim into your stem, Ddooohhhh!!
Has anyone put a dynavap in there mouth backwards after heating?....lol.....My girlfriend has twice.
Just wondering....lol
Jack
I "know a guy" that once heated up the mp end of his Omni in his portside mini... and then proceeded to put it in his mouth... 2 smart moves, one after the other... let's just say "that guy" will never do that again...
Don’t know if it’s just me, but I’d hate to bite into a mouthpiece that is naked metal.
Cute idea, tho.
I didn't get it either.
And yes, I've come close to putting it in backwards but I've always caught it just in time!
So I got it earlier than expected. I charged the Apollo overnight and have so far counted 50 clicks. There's no battery indicator but it's still going strong. I can also use it while charging. It's great!I don't know if it came fully charged and I didn't count the clicks. So I can't tell you how good the battery life is. I'll have to wait till I get the new charger.
Every cap is different- some click loud, some soft. Some once, some twice. So you will always have a little variety. Also, it seems like the big variable my have something to do with the caps. Has anyone tried swapping out caps to get different effects since the cap seems to have the most potential for random variation?
I'm new to the Dynavap product line and have been impressed enough that I went from an M to M Shadow to an Omni XL in a very short period of time.
A few questions, I've perceived a difference between the plain M and the Shadow. My understanding is that they are identical in every way. So is this difference I'm noticing just my imagination?
Once you have it dialed in, are you going to extend your work to the community....
It does look classy. Demand. Demand. Dan.
@stark1 My goal has been to offer to this community. I have not tried to sell anything elsewhere. I will remmember your interest in this mouthpiece.
That being said, I am uncertain as to the quantity of future offerings. I have been off the manual lathe for a couple of months, due to repetative stress injuries. Making this stuff is a continual dance of tightening, loosening, changing... the injury got so bad I could not grasp and turn a doorknob without pain. I know its the lathe cuz I built an entire musical instrument from scratch in the interim.(no pain). A couple of 2 hour sesions last week on the lathe, and small tinges of pain yesterday. damn
So, I will continue as I can, but in small runs, with time down in between.
I am just about ready to produce a prototype, and a small quantity of, a new IST (inside tool). The last one focused on the tip/ccd. This one will focus on the condenser and o rings.
