Congratulations, you're not a polywog anymore. I to am an honorable Shellback .I was Marine Corps. It was on the USS Durham back in "92.
6 of us and a bunch of Sailors who hadn't Crossed the Equator before, got hauled out there and...
(Someone who was kind enough to film The Glorious ceremony was equally kind enough a few years back to upload it on YouTube. Wish I could have enjoyed a capful or two afterwards. LOL)
In spite of what looks like horrifically gross suffering, it was only moderately gross suffering. LOL
It was all in good fun though. A tension breaker from the time on ship for everybody to blow off some steam, have some laughs, and of course earn our little coin as "Sons Of Neptune". LOL
I became a Royal Shellback in 1963, and I think I still have graphite grease in my ears from when I crossed in 1962. Lol. Doc
I tried out my dynavape m 2919 with an induction heater for the first time.
thank you. When you have your new designs in stock, I'll be in touch for sure!if you are interested in something let me know and we can probably work something out.
@thejackalsmark nice catch of @david8613's 2919 M. You never know, his name is "David8613". and I'll bet the Brain Wave Powered 2919M is a beast!!!
I'm so torn on induction heaters.
Except for the G43, my use of vaporizers is pretty much completely butane powered.
I just prefer the experience of the flame. But as good as I have become at modulating the flame, every session is different and there is no way to truly recreate the exact same experience twice.
My guess is that an IH is the closest thing you could have to "temp control". Given the same grind and load amount, cap after cap should give a similar experience. While I dont care about this consistency in my daily use, it would be nice for evaluating different stems, condensers and tips.
Purely for the sake of research I may have to succumb to IH

My vapcap tip fits perfectly into this random old 14 mm male to 14mm male glass adapter I have, So a all glass carbless WPA for dynavap tips may be incredibly cheap and common lol! If you have any 14mm male glass pieces, check and see if your tip fits in it
This is NOT the exact adapter I used, This is just a example of the type I found on amazon because I don't have a pic of mine handy, may or may not fit this one. https://www.amazon.ca/Z-Ran-Glass-C...m+male+glass&qid=1563737951&s=gateway&sr=8-31
Well worth the wait acc.I had to step back to perfect my procedures and refine my designs to provide a respectable finished product.
Being a machinist is a blessing, and a curse. As a machinist in an industrial environment, I have to be perfect on a daily basis. I’ve tried to bring that same attitude into my home shop. Satisfaction as a machinist is a challenge to conclude to. There are differences when my customer is a company that has no face than when I am creating and crafting a product with my name and reputation on it for someone in the DynaVap community to enjoy forever, a high quality finished product is quite a demanding task. Again I am not a company and I am not retired. I am just a DynaVap fan with a passion for machining.
I create products with the highest quality standards that I would expect as if I were buying them myself. I ignore time put into a creation, I believe art should not have a timeframe. This gives me the ability to bring you high quality premium products. Machined, carved, formed and handcrafted, everything is made myself for you to enjoy.
