Check out @DDave’s water wands.
Thanks. I've heard(seen) these mentioned throughout the thread.. I think I'd like to have one! Not only that, the pricing for the wand, ss tip and cap + 14/18mm adapters. 50 USD? That's almost cheaper than purchasing a tip n cap here in the northern part of America!.. Actually right around the same price

Water wand can also be used by itself and also placed in a jhook?

Would love to hear from ppl who have a ddave wand on their experiences...

Such an incredibly easy recommendation.

The @DDave water wand can be used very well as a no carb no condenser glass vapcap. I have a friend who prefers this to regular vapcaps.

It is amazing in a water pipe. Huge flavor hits, with such smooth vapor, and even better efficiency (for me) than the vapcaps by themselves.

It is super easy to clean.

It’s not expensive.

Everyone should own one.

If you only have money for a few things, buy an “m”, and a @DDave water wand. The rest will come.

They briefly discuss the IH in the latest DynaVap Live, too.

If one keep in mind that a battery free environment is one of VapCaps tenets, it may
Be easier to understand why DV may seem to be dragging it’s introduction in the
Market place. :myday:

The irony of course is that Induction Heaters are mushrooming not only in the US/Canada, it is becoming International.

Anything worth doing, is worth overdoing.
The tip diameter has not changed with successive generations. Likewise, the x-rings for the standard condenser have not changed. The current CCD screens will fit your tip.

You have a lot of options available to you. From the stock Dynavap midsections your condenser will accommodate either:

A 45mm VonG or straight titanium body and a 17mm spinning mp.
Or
A 62mm VonG or straight titanium stem.

Another option would be to buy a standard XL or XL Omni condenser/mp assembly and fit it with the 62mm stem of your choice. If you choose an standard XL condenser, you will need a spinning mp as well. This set up will result in a 17mm longer Vapcap that many people enjoy. Beyond replacing your midsection, I would recommend upgrading your tip to the current 6th generation. The improvements in the tip are significant and offer much greater airflow, a higher convection/conduction ratio and adjustable screen ridges that allow you to adjust your herb chamber to three different sizes.

You also have the option of going with an after market artist.

@phattpiggie makes wood or acrylic stems and bodies. You can get a body of stem to accommodate your condenser or you can choose a longer or shorter midsection with an integrated condenser. In this case you just push your tip onto your custom piece and don't use your standard Vapcap condenser.

@mrb makes stems to fit your tip and condenser. His stems are made from titanium and are often sandblasted in interesting patterns.

@primitiveorganic makes exotic wood stems and matching cases and stashes to your specifications to either fit your condenser or a stem that has an integrated condenser.

@stardustsailor makes carbless titanium stems. You only need your tip to connect to his stems. You won't need your condenser.

Check out their pages to find their stunningly beautiful creations. One may speak to you.

Thanks so much for the detailed reply @Squiby.

When I have saved up some additional funds, there is a beautiful @phattpiggie wooden stem in my future. I went through that thread's 50+ pages and just  at all the different styles. But for now I chose a slightly cheaper option and ordered a @DDave water wand. I might couple that with one of those mason jar IH units to expand my horizons.

BTW I actually have 2 old VC's. I also have a second generation vong that I bought a few months later. I mixed up the two caps and not sure which cap went with which unit. Even though they both have the second gen Ti tips, one cap is longer than the other. The shorter cap reads Dynavap while the longer cap reads Dynavap.com. Any idea which cap was the upgrade?

It just takes a torch and a dream. It heats in this order

Gold
Purple
Blue
Green

With some variants in between. Don’t be stupid like me. While I was correct that the condenser could take the heat, my dumb ass didn’t remember the o-rings. Anyway, new ones will be here on Monday.

Guess that only works on the titatinum vapcaps and not the stainless steel M's?

I got bocote, purpleheart, wenge, bog oak, and a bunch more, working on the lathe aspect still, I looked at a few yesterday and have been bugging phatpiggie for all his know-how. I started a few rough stems out of the unknown blanks I have using a drill press as a vertical lathe. This is one major rabbit hole.

Sho, and tell. Please.

PS, as a pro you should use eye protection?
