Just pre ordered a ti/wood combo! Can't wait to try it out.

Here's something I just thought of though. So I am a machinist and plan on using this as a sneak a toke while I'm at work (I work at the coolest shop ever, we are allowed to smoke at work and have an arcade for a break room!) but I was wondering if it will quickly damage the wood to be touching it with dirty, oily, and sometimes coolant soaked hands? I can obviously just wash them but id largely prefer not too constantly.... Or maybe I should just order a spare glass one too. Any thoughts @Ed's TnT

Hmmm I wouldnt think that would be a cool idea with the grimy hands and such over many many uses, I know that would stain the wood so so. I can understand you not wanting to have to wash them but if thats the case you could get one in Blackwood which would already be black and being so dense wouldnt take the staining very much, I like denser wood species for this purpose also. Hope I have been helpful!

Awesome thanks for the quick response! I'm sure I'll be keeping it pretty clean but just wanted to make sure touching it with grimy hands a couple times wouldn't totally ruin it... I'll still probably wash them before ever touching it.

Definitely helpful, and when the time comes to specify my choice of wood I'll for sure go with blackwood.

We weren't supposed to specify the wood type in the comments of our order right?

@sasNW Glad I could help, George and I are still in talks and design, I am sure he will provide that option when things are ironed out. Hang in there with us bro, there is still quite a bit to do and talks to have on our ends, will be worth the wait for sure!

Start wearin gloves, homie.
Costco sells a 3pack of glove boxes that's priced reasonably. There are many places much cheaper, but w/e... All I know is no oil under the fingernails makes my lady a lot happier. I bet no oil all over the hands would make your $75 wood piece a lot happier ;!

Greetings,

Just to confirm, yes, there will be some choice when it comes to stem wood variety. I will try to get the details figured out here soon and will be working very closely with Ed to choose the best candidates for the task. We will post pictures and a selection list here first to get feedback and then contact all of the awesome pre-order holders to confirm your selection. I also have a facebook page under dynavap if anyone uses facebook, but to be honest, I like this place WAY better! I feel like I need to again thank everyone here for the Awesome support and feedback. So Thank you!

George

I just noticed the shipping issue and have the website folks on it already. That issue should be resolved very soon. I will try to get both the 14mm and 18.8mm adapters up in the next day or so. Thanks for the feedback and please everyone, let me know if there is anything else you might like to see in the pre-order shopping cart or any other issues or concerns.

Thanks,

George

Any ideas on how much your going to charge for them? Also I just saw the titanium and glass version on the gofundme site, looks awesome :)

I have so far put three loads through the VC. Fast heat up time, quick extraction rate, easily reproduced results, and ease of use are ranking very high among the list of reasons this vape is awesome. The lighter that George is offering for use with the VC is a tri buner jet flame. It does a very effective job of bringing this to vaporization temperatures fast. So far without to much data collected. The heat up time was 5 seconds the first time from cold. 6 seconds the second time and 5 seconds the third. For a average of just 5.3 seconds with the VC torch. I will try the other heating methods described earlier in the thread next week. The hits are thick and nice. I feel I need to experiment more with the carb hole. But a long draw not covering it can produce lung busting clouds. Like IamKrazy2 said, the path is short but the vapor is not harsh to me. Warm but not harsh. This can differ somewhat with every user, as some can be more sensitive. The flavor of the VC is good. The extraction is where this vap really shines. Nice deep dark brown abv. All even and uniformed. I have not grinded one time. Just tearing a chunk off and cramming it in. The built in digger on the cap is a bit of genius. Nothing to lose or extra to carry because it is built right in. I have a good amount of oil already collecting in my tube. I am hoping to get some pictures up soon. I also need extended testing to further develop a more concise view. My initial impression of the VC. is a really good one. I think this will fit the void for many in there lineup Who are searching for a ultra-portable lightweight butane powered vape. Stay tuned.

Edit I left out the most important part. The reason behind the consistant results. The cap. The click that is unique, audible but can be felt through the vap as well. This is very very nice for newbies and pros alike. In detail the instructions lay out how to use the vap properly. (Probably among the most thought out sets I have seen.) It explains a proven method along with giving suggestions how to taylor it for your needs. And the appropriate warnings to safe gaurd you from damage if you choose to do so. All three times I used the proven method and it worked identical each time. I feel this is important to mention. All my fellow buntane vape users know how most time it takes some trail and error to get it right.
This is my experiance using the VapCap.
1) remove cap & pack unground material
2) heat it till it clicks
3)hit it till there is no vapor, if it hasn't clicked by then blow on it till it clicks
4) repeat steps 2~3 untill spent.
5) dig out the remains and put it back in the tube.

Did you do the I want it fast option and get it immediately or are you working with a review unit? Just wondering. I'm a very impatient person lol and that option has been very tempting.

Yes i have a pre-production test/review unit of the original vapcap. I have a ti vapcap and pyrovap on pre order. It makes me want the other two much more now that I know how well this little vap puts out the vapor.

cool! I'm loving how this thing is looking! Your first impression post above makes me fall more and more in love with this thing and I haven't even seen one in real life yet. I have a feeling this may turn into my go to vape.

George? I remember you said the Ti model will come with glass as well... I prefer glass to be frank as it cleans easier and better. But if the woody one also has the glass insert then it would clean the same, right? No resins on the wood?

Also, on the Ti tip, by looking at the photos, I don't see the same cuts as on the glass one... Where does the air enter the bowl from? Or is it just an alpha version you photographed?

Oh! The VapCap and PyroVap are certainly my next vapes!!! I just love the size, concept and simplicity! :D:D:D      :luv:

EDIT: If it could also do low temp with a different cap... :science: Or different caps for different temps... ;)

I like the look of the woody ones too but I'm not sure how these would clean and stay clean over time, never had a wooden based vape so what do I know, perhaps some one can put my mind at ease? Much like the above comment I feel more comfortable when using glass and can really see its clean and sparkly. Still dig the titanium ones from previous pages, look sweet.

I'm sure Vap vap and ed with hit us with some options, from the initial results be read I can't wait to try these out. I picture having about three of these in a small case, pre loaded for on the go vaping while out and about.

My VaporGenie from 5 years ago is still doing well and I have even done heavy cleaning in it. My walnut of 4 years is doing even better since its had no combustion. Ive also done oils in it. There is some abv I clean out every year from the bottom of the bowl but the wood taste is still present and great. VapCap would be much easier to clean but I doubt it would be needed very often.

Other wooden things like the MFLB, Lithe, MFLB stems are also doing great with like no maintenance. I foresee the same for the NimbinVap.

There is a small hole visible in the side of the Ti I believe, saw it in one of the pics

Oh, I didn´t get notifications on this thread for some reason, so I had to read through some posts, and I saw the new campaign and jumped on it, and then read that the shop is up.

So @VapCap George, my backing will work as an preorder right?

Cuz I needz this :D

Yes, I have a preorder shopping cart up on my website www.dynavap.com
Yes I also started a campaign on gofundme as a secondary means to make sure there was a way for people to back this product while I was working on my shopping cart. Both places are fine to pre order.

There will definitely be a glass Ti version. The air flow is a bit non-standard. I will post a diagram to show this soon. The temperatures can be modified, but so far the temp they click at seems low enough to not be an issue for most applications and by simply heating a little bit longer a person can very easily and safely adjust extraction temperature.

I am still trying to get a response from indieNogo as to where my entire account went. They didn't just shut down my campaign, they made my entire account including another campaign I was working on disappear. I have received no communication from them since it went down almost a week ago. I have emailed them many times but it seems I am being ignored. I was contemplating asking the people here to email them and ask what happened, as it would be surprising if they would be able to ignore a bunch of email all asking the same question. Or would it be inappropriate for me to do something like this?

Either way, I really appreciate the support here. It is this forum that has kept this vaporizer alive.

Thanks,
George

IKR! We aren't forced to wait two weeks like the grasshopper. I love how we get updates at least once a day letting us know what's going on. It makes things more exciting

Question: I know that people on Dynavap.com get the torch lighter if they mention they are from FC, does the same go for those who did it through gofundme? I put in my order before the website went up because my indiegogo order was refunded and I wanted an early spot in line after seeing how slow the grasshopper was shipping (now I know that it is kinda impossible for George to go that slow because he is awesome). I really want one of the lighters. I don't think there is a way for me to add a comment to my original order on gfm
