Very true, but let's not maligne the mods for their attempts to keep us vaguely on track. It's not exactly strickt around here
EDIT: just saw "the best of vapcap pictures page" in hogni's signature! What an amazing page that is! So much design and invention around this great device we all love.

Perhaps someone might start a "chat" thread where you can go to say hello each morning and share your thoughts for the day.
Sure would make this thread more useful. Ask a VapCap question here and it gets buried before it gets answered. And, to say that George actually reads this thread would mean he does little else in a day. LOL This thread is definitely a fast mover and I doubt if George even visits it unless specifically asked.
Nothing wrong with that. If you want to talk to any manufacturer, their own web site is probably the best place. The fact that most of the manufacturers try to visit these forums is nice but there is more than one of them and the people making these vapes are probably pretty darn busy and have little time to cruise chat forums.

We have a winner for originality. LOL
I just tried it and after about 1 minutes the cap was pretty hot but not near enough to click. I only had a small glass so maybe a bigger one will work.
Great idea from an open mind.

Unfortunately you are right.
This was a fucking awesome informative thread. Long time ago. No you have to crawl for hours through the thread to find something new or interesting at least. It WAS the best thread on FC nowadays it's more a kind of Kindergarten. But still better than the VCDC chat.

An important point fur sure. Infos are repeated again and again. Over time it sounds like a Mantra (thanks @Squiby for your zen like patience!I think this happens to all threads eventually. Over time so much information has already been posted and shared that the thread becomes a more useful place for 'new users' here to rediscover all the same things over and over again.
) and of course it's getting a bit boring to those who know the facts. But it's more IMO. Last year it was more a fact-based thread now it's getting more and more to a chat or to hundreds of post what anyone has ordered or is eagerly waiting for. Sorry, but who cares?I don't want to offend anyone just my impressions.

IMO... every manufacturer should have their own forum, not a single thread. Then specific topics could be posted as individual threads. We can't do that without an admin, though. So, for now, it has to stay this way.
Still, whenever I have a VapCap question, I simply post it in it's own thread and that works fine.

still is, there is no other thread on FC that has this kind of camaraderie among enthusiasts like the DV thread. as for the VCDC im not sure what u mean by that?
I dunno, questions still get answered around here, just not always as instantaneously as once upon a time. . And the best of vapcap thread still exists, although I feel at two pages long it's missing a lot of very useful posts that it should probably include... Who's volunteering to re-read the whole thread?

It could work with some tweaking

as VC heating sources .As long as the cap was not reflective to light .
'Cause only three things can happen to light quanta ( aka photons ) as a form of energy :
1 ) Be reflected , like incident light gets to be from a shiny stainless steel surface .
Nothing weird here ...
2 ) Be transmitted through matter and/or
3) Be absorbed and transformed into heat .
Now ...How one can turn a shiny reflective surface
into a light- absorbing one ?
