Now just tell me, why don’t you guys just take in a little air from your mouth by lifting your lip instead
of “lifting the Vong.” :)

:2c:
Because it’s not possible or impractical with some glass pieces. It’s far easier to apply constant vaccuum with my lungs and modulate the vapcap than allow air to seep through the corner of my mouth.

Received my Omni and tried it for the 1st time earlier today. I love the adjustable screen and air flow. I have the screen set to the smallest setting right now, my herb is very potent so its perfect for a quick 2 hits. Pretty happy with it so far!
Happy Father's Day everyone :)

We lift the Vong or whatever WPA to quickly clear the vapor from the bong.

:o Ok, my vapcap M arrived! A quick clean and burn-off and I gave it a good try.
Nothing...covered the carb to get more airflow and it was totally blocked, Monica Lewinsky couldn't suck anything through that.

Bit of playing around and I found there was absolutely no air getting under the cap, it was sealed tight, however I found a mention of the 'file mod'. A couple of strokes of my leatherman's file across the ends of the helix made me very slight notches like the Ti tips and I prepared to try again.
Heated it up to the click, covered the carb completely since I'd been unable to get a thing last try, and sucked as hard as I could. I'm still coughing as I type this, the filing worked to let some actual air into the tip and I know not to do that again unless it's through water maybe.

DIY Launch Pad - A small round neodium magnet off ebay stuck on the top of a sweet tin lid makes an excellent stand for my vapcap. It might not look as good as the Interplanetary Development ones, but mine has sweets inside it.

You can make it look a bit sweeter by putting the magnet inside the tin.... on the lid.

Picture perfect.

Covering the air hole “completely” may be counterproductive as the carb is designed as your air inlet. If you insist on have the carb covered, pinch your cap out of round to allow some air in from the tip. It might help.

Lastly, don’t do what Monica did, draw gently, sucking hard may not please you.

If nothing works, open up the carb, and let the magic begin. :spliff:

Had a rubbish eve in my workshop last night. Was here till 4:30am applying finishes on a table that went out today... HOWEVER given lots of waiting time between coats of stain drying.. I made myself one of my favorite stems yet :)
Happy vapcapping Tuesday to you all

Looking forward to pics of the multi colored ti parts when you guys get them from DV. They looked nice.

Those boots are just as sick as the stem! My multicolored Omni has been stolen by my girlfriend, it’s THAT pretty..

I've been using this debowler I designed. There is a magnet sunk into the middle that was holding a screw like the one next to it. I threw out the screw and added another stronger magnet on top of the sunk in one. The sunk in one would have worked for the purpose too I just liked having the taller profile.
This set up is great for pulling the cap off and catching the crumbs that might come out. Then I go next door to empty the tip.

Just googled crack pipe... No, the Vapcaps don't look like crack pipes (not even the OG, if I may say)... Sorry had to say that... couldn't help myself...

I discovered the ambient temp's importance recently! You are right! It makes a huge difference. I mostly need speed indoors if I'm with family or when I take a quick break during work.
They dont look like crackpipes until you pull out the torch and start torching it. Then the all metal or OG does look alot more like one while a woody or custom VC just looks like a Dynavap in comparison. JMO, of course.

And yes, if its really cold I would probably have to heat 3 seconds past the click and have time for 1 little hit before the device is too cold again. But in my car in the summer when its 140F inside, you must respect the click and itll take 5 minutes for the tip to cool down enough to be able to put it away.

Thats why i prefaced my post with "JMO", to avoid people getting bent out of shape over me saying it looks like a crack pipe (which i wasnt even the first one to point out). But alas, it didnt work.
IDC if your friends, grandma, and dog all know that its cannabis, Im never going own an OG or metal VC for that reason. Put that in your pipe and smoke it ;)

It is true! It was pointed out to me, that it's the torch that can give the VC the sense of a crack pipe. I do get it. On the other hand, it still doesn't make me think of it as a crack pipe.

I had never seen a crack pipe, so I like Lady V googled images. Some crack pipes do share a similarity with the OG VC. Especially when the torch comes out.

Personally I would never use a VC in situations where people would not understand the difference between cannabis or crack cocaine. And would never vaporize Green Crack. But that is because that strain (and most energetic sativas) make me feel like climbing the wall. Anxiety issues have I.

In other news: I ordered a bunch of parts from DV on Thursday evening 6/14/18, and it was delivered today 6/18/18. Wisconsin must have a direct pipeline to Wasington State. Very cool.

Other than o-rings, and various other goodies I got an XL condenser and a spinning Ti mouthpiece. Changing my Omnivap XL to an Ti XLS. Have never got used to the Omnivap condenser system. But that's just me.

Happy vaping my friends!

I believe the personalised free shipping codes were given out to the people who enquired about being "an affiliate" I have been offered a couple of peoples codes already, but not made an order to confirm they work. I was told the newly appointed affiliates were not allowed to publicly share their codes online, but rather through word of mouth. . . This is all I know on the topic, and I find it a surprising revelation that DV are once again pumping out the free shipping in such a way
Suddenly (in theory) I can buy lighters and other bits direct from DV again, without the fear of import tax as I can mostly keep small purchases under the £import limit. . Who knows how long this scenario will last. . .
