Replicating the machining job done by a CNC ,needs a CNC .
A lathe has a very limited range of maching operations,when compared with a CNC milling machine.

But I 've not quite understood which body you mean ...

I've these (but they do not feature the "DYNAVAP" logo on them ) three scraps.

Are these of 2nd generation OMNI bodies ?

Any tips for using Amsterdam Blok hash, G13 Super Lemon Haze to be exact. 40 years ago. my best hash exper was Red Lebanese but it was probably 6 moths old when I got it. This block has that slight minty tone but is like 100 times stickier.

The stickiesst kind of messed up my Mighty technique, used it there first and it all stuck to the top screen/ melted into the top screen/ clogged the top screen flow/ was solidified firmly into screen, etc. Even when placed with flowers--that just allowed hash to melt onto flowers and then flowers AND hash stuck to Might top screen

I've never had anything stick to Mighty top screen but this Block just attacked the Mighty.
Now switching to VC and I think it will work better here----with miniPortside

I did bring hemp fiber and I don't want VapCap clogging issues (and not keeping ABV here) so might put a slight "taco" of hemp fiber around my small dose of hash or hash plus flower??

Suggestions welcomed.
And does it "mean anything" that it melts into a puddle, just fresh or it is very high grade or what??

I'm finding it's better to start with closed air intake, using mouthpulls when fresh. Then for 2nd or third reheat, leave intake open as vapor gets pretty harsh and the extra air really helps.

So I bought these 2 Ti Tips in April. 1 to use on an M18, the other 1 came on an Omni XL.

Anyone know why the ridges, or threads, on the tip on the left are so much thicker than the one on the right? Different Ti Tip models? Or just machining?

They're different models. The one on the right is the new one.

The left one looks like a stainless steel tip. Maybe they sent it by mistake. Did it come with the M? The M comes with a SS tip.

It is a Ti. Paid for it as an add on to my M. Screen is adjustable so I'm assuming it's gotta be a Ti? Weird but as @frosty234 mentioned, maybe different versions?

@dodgy_b, I'm sure everyone will weigh in tomorrow. If it has an adjustable screen, it's definitely a ti tip. Should the 2 different tips not be what you want, you can always send a pic to DV. I think the diversity is nice, though.

You have the M18 tip on the Omni stem and the Ti tip on the M18 stem. Unless they started doing the double helical grooves and the rounded channels on the Ti tips? Which would make this another generation of Ti tip.

Look for the adjust-a-bowl grooves in the tip and the taper in the ID on the bottom side. This would make the tip a Ti model. The M tips do not have these features.

OK, you got a tip upgrade for your M. What did you do with the original tip that came with the M? So if the tip on the right is not the M tip & is, in fact, the tip that as you said came with the Omni & it does have the adjustable bowl, then, DV did indeed change the ti tip.

The tip on your Omni on the right is indeed the newest 6th generation ti-tip. It’s been knocking around for a month at least by now, since soon after the 2018 M design was released, the new ti-tip looks similar to the 2018 M tip, but keeps the single not double air channels/grooves around the bowl.

Not really heard anyone call it the 6th gen yet, but seeing it for the first time so close, next to the 5th gen tip, I think the 6th gen title is fair. . Not heard many reports on any differences in performance yet. One person mentioned easier screen placement in the smaller bowl positions but I don’t know if that is accurate.

I came across the site when trying to find where I would get the best value for my (limited) money. And while they're only $10 a pop, I don't know if the same quality controls and materials as an original VC have been used.

New Ti tips have rounded fins and deeper cuts, they replicate the ss tips but not exactly. Many received a mix of 5th and 6th gen it seems, both perform great.

@Vapor4me those look fine but if you’re scared just order from somewhere legitimate.

I don’t see any reason to think those are pictures of fakes...in fact, many counterfeiters just use pictures of the original products they’re copying to sell their fakes anyway, but I still think that there are several more likely explanations for the listings.

It’s unlikely that one place made a nearly perfect copy of every part of the 2017 M and 2018 M and then chose to only sell them in one place at a small fraction of the original product’s price. It’s much more likely you’d pay and never get anything, or they’d tell you the pricing was a mistake just as a couple of examples.

Without more evidence I think we should be more careful about calling these fakes. It’s just very unlikely that anyone is successfully producing fake VapCaps with that level of detail, and even less likely they’re selling them at that price if they are making them.

If you think I’m wrong, look at the copies of vaporizers that are much more well known, even ones that haven’t changed in many years like the Volcano. They keep getting better, but there are always flaws, and they’re usually pretty obvious, even when they’ve been making copies for a long time.

The 2018 M is a pretty new product, and I think the sales volume would have to be much higher than it is right now for someone to make that good a copy that quickly, especially when none of us have heard of *any* counterfeit VapCap being made, and if they went to all the trouble to make such a great copy they’d sell it for a higher price so no one would suspect it wasn’t legit.

Continuing to talk about it as a fake without confirmation is confusing. Some people are already taking it as a fact when we have little reason to believe it is, so to avoid unnecessary worry and arguments, please try not to call it “fake”, “counterfeit”, etc. unless someone actually buys one and confirms with Dynavap that it didn’t come from them?

So for imgur the process is like this:
First you go to imgur.com and click on "new post" (without or without an account, your choice)

Then you upload your image or images

After it's been uploaded, you hover over the pic and a link and a downwards arrow shows up.

Click on the arrow. You get a dropdown menu. Choose "Get share links"

Press copy on "BBCode" (forums)

Then paste the copied link here. After you post the images will show up.
