Vong arrived I'm on my way home from work . Anyone do any burn off or iso soak before first use?

I forgot what I did with my ti Woody I got it in 2016.
I recommend running a qtip soaked in ISO through the condenser and around the inside of the tip from both sides. That is all I usually do before using. Be sure to let it dry.

I also wax the wood a little, but that is about preserving the wood not safety.

Wow.. that's awesome, mrb.

Got a bit too vaked, just tried to stuff the chamber with shake until it wasn't too restricted. I have to do 4 counts past the click with the portside mini..

All the mouth pulling hurts my throat :\

So my tip is not flat on the top . Is this normal? It looks like it chipped

One of the advantages (for me) of going through a water piece is you can pull with your lungs just fine. No need to mouth pull. You also can see what kind of hit you are getting. 90% of the time I use my VCs at home are through water.

Perfectly normal. It's more obvious on some than on others. That feature doesn't exist on the M, and many add it with a file. It adds to the airflow.

Hi Dynavap community!
I received my 2018 M a few days ago and have been playing with it ever since.
Thanks to this unbelievably robust thread (along with the much more manageable Best of thread), which was a huge help to get me started.
After a few combustion incidents, I think I am getting the hang of this guy. It is a lot of fun to play with and it is easy to see how quickly one can get sucked into buying additional add-ons, etc.
I love this for microdosing, although I guess it isn’t microdosing when you keep toking because it’s so fun to play with!
Anyway, just wanted to thank you all and say hi. Hope to be able to contribute and continue learning.

I just got the Omni XL Titanium in today and have been using it for the last hour.

It hits perfectly. It's gonna be a nice addition to my Extreme Q and DaVinci IQ.

I'm glad I went with the XL, cause I didn't realize how the size was gonna be and it fits great in my hand.

I haven't combusted once. I respect the click and it's probably due from my first vaporizer, a Vapor Genie , which took some precision to balance the flame.

Ok, I have had my first vapcap (2018 M for 60 bucks) for two weeks. And then a week later the 420 sale started and I have purchased 300 bucks more of DV goodness. The green bubble wrap package of goodness should arrive tomorrow.

Needless to say I am impressed!

My major purchase was the Ominivap XL and a Nonavong XLS dark wood.

Minor items: 420 cap, 2 extra caps, fat mouthpiece, and a conquistador quad torch.

Yes, the DVAS is strong on me. Wish I had checked out the VC earlier.

QUESTION: Do the etched caps still show the etching after several uses? No real matter, I may just use the 420 cap as a Christmas decorations.

I was able to put together these custom stems today with the Dynavap parts that arrived.

The slightly redder Cocobolo will darken to to match the red African Stinkwood in a few months time.

I'm very happy with these pieces, I almost like this combination of materials more than my burl, bronze and blackwood stem.

So, this is my current dilemma...Of the Dynavap 4/20 deals, I'm currently (unless a deal I find more attractive shows up in the next couple of days), trying to choose between the OmniVong for $128 or the NonaVong XLS with a free Dynastash for $84

I am currently strongly leaning towards the Nonavong, partly because I currently have a Dynastash, but not an XL Dynastash, I can work the carb with a finger just fine, and again...its LESS MONEY! (I'm a poor man/loser, unfortunately).

But, I'm of the understanding that the Omni- is so much better than anything else. Plus, the leapord-wood Dynastash that I already have and love fits that Omni-

Is the adjustable airflow really worth giving up my free dynastash? I know that this sort of thing will be a different decision for every individual, but, to anyone who has had enough experience with both, would you mind sharing your opinion?

Thanks in advance!

This is my conundrum:

I Would get the OmniVong since you already have an M and a stash. It makes a lot more sense since you're getting a 14mm vong for water pieces and glass, adjustable airflow, the nice smooth Ti mouthpiece (my favourite part), and better balance for the piece.

The stash that they're sending out with that deal is a regular stash I believe? I think they're giving a free regular condenser if you order so that you can still fit the vapcap in the stash as regular length.

Also are you realistically going to need two stashes or ever carry both at once?

Hmm...from here it looks like the end of the tip has not been properly deburred. I'm familiar with the slots at the top which are there by design, but that's not what I'm referring to in the photo. Maybe send email to George?

Ok, so I'm another VC newbie who's received a nice shiny 18M yesterday, fresh from the 420 sales...
Actually when I say I'm new to VC, that's not strictly true. I did support the original kickstarter campaign to get Dynavap started (and what a fantastic success story that's been) and received a og glass vapcap and free lighter at the time. Tbh I didn't have much success with it. A couple of ok hits, couple of combustions and then it broke, so that was it.

Been wanting to try a more developed VC for a while now as there's such a huge amount of love for this device, and I often have nice hash (which typically I have none of atm :cuss: ) and have heard some good reports of how the VC handles vaping hash.

Anyway, got my package from Vapefiend (I'm in the UK so no green envelope for me) in the mail yesterday while I was at work, fortunately my wife was at home to sign for it, and even more fortunately I had an early finish so got to play a bit before the kids got home from school
First thing I noticed when opening the package was that the green tube appears to be exactly the same as the one I received my original VC in. I have it still, and the fat mouthpiece, dunno what happened to the cap, couldn't find that (don't think it had Dynavap etched into it, but I could be wrong it was a while ago).
Second thing was how teenie tiny it is, I'd obviously forgotten just how small the glass one had been... very solid and nicely constructed.
I'm usually good and do my homework on any new vape purchase, so I've read a fair bit of this huge thread and all of the "best of" thread in advance, so was fairly clear on what to expect and how to heat the cap at different points for hotter or cooler hits, and to respect the click etc. I did do a couple of test heatings on the cap so I could get used to how the click sounded and was pleased to hear just how loud and clear it is as I'm getting on a bit you see...
:myday:

So I used it exclusively all last night, and for this mornings wake and vape before work (which say a lot in itself).
Fantastic results, no combustion, beautifully even abv, great control of just how toasted you want that abv to be considering how simple this thing is and it's really fun to use too
Has smaller loads than I usually do at one go, but that's one of the reasons I was interested in the first place.

Really impressed, I also wished I'd checked these things out sooner and already want a Ti Omnivap (although not sure if I'd go standard or XL), a silo and a launchpad

:peace:

Nah, not cary two at one time. But, as with many daily carries that could be lost (or tossed before an encounter with road pirates, a.k.a. law enforcement officers) or damaged, It's always a good idea to have a spare. It would be inconvenient to be without my daily-cary-kit for a few weeks.

That being said, my collection will definitely include more than one Dynastash eventually because, in my experience, loading it via the dynastash's "stash" compartment is the best way for me to get the perfect pack. I'd never want to be stuck with a dynavap without a dynastash if I'm going to be using it away from home.

BUT...you seem to feel that the Omni condenser/mouthpiece is really worth that much more, and I know that you have to have experimented with an unimaginable amount of setups in your creations and trying new ideas , that I feel that maybe I should reconsider it....

Just FYI to all European, I think vaposhop has the cheapest prices atm on vapcap devices as they have 20 % off + the FC code VAPOBUST2018 gets you an additional 10 % off. Ordered my Woody Ti Cocobolo for 71 €. The M 2018 is 43 €.
Hope it will be a beautiful version. I now just need a XL condenser to finish my setup.

And an induction heater. :)

@Ramahs, did you see what Winegums said that he thinks that the dynastash is the regular size & not the XL. You gotta be sure which one DV is offering. Also, for an extra $68 or $72, you can get an omni condenser assembly & use it with your existing body or stem. As I don't know what you have, you'll want the XL omni assembly if you have have an M. This might be a mute issue for you as the Canada sale may appeal to you.

It's VERY tempting.
On one hand, I'm content with my 2017 M and recently I'm mostly using my Tubo anyway.
On the other though, I would very much like to try out a ti tip. Also a vong body would make my water pipe vape routine even smoother.
Also VAS.

Fuck!
