Putin is a War Criminal
Funny, I was expecting this...

So, due to the fact that some significant percentage of Dynavap customers are overseas or otherwise many time zones away, I wonder if George is considering making the flash sales a little longer? I am NOT many time zones away, but Thursday is a busy day that makes it a little hard for me to review the vid and get in his 5 hour window. I did manage it last week... ;)

I must confess......in one year I sent @VapCap a serious chunk of cash. Now it's just the fine art of collecting and refining the existing stock. I'm on @phattpiggie current list, after going twice before. I have a Portside and Jarhead from @Pipes plus three WoodScents from @Ed' and their associated goodies. So I went downstairs and opened the VC drawer.......holy shit I need to stop this madness (just kidding)........

But seriously, I don't often count, but I just went downstairs.......15 Ti tips across a collection of @phattpiggie @Ed's TnT and VC stems, bodies and condensers; 3 M's, 2 SBM's, 2 S's, an OG and two OG body/condenser combos. Plus a little pelican micro case with about a dozen stems and bodies of various configurations.....

Honestly, I'm not done. I give one away about once a month or so, always including a torch. I usually identify a case and then work it to see if it is worth the donation. So far the success ratio is pretty good, plus a couple of people who bought their own when exposed. The sheer innovation in this thread inclines me to support this community while I have the disposable income. Plus, it's fun as fuck:cheers:

Three WoodScents?!?!

Here I am trying to talk myself out of a second. On the list for Pipes portside mini (gonna be a long 3-4 months!) and telling myself there’s no way I need another WoodScents (even though a two toned cocobolo is calling my name!).

All kidding aside, do you find you use th 3 WS regularly? Just in different parts of the house? How about the induction heaters, or just the VapCaps with a torch?

Sorry for the 20 ?s, just trying to get a sense of your device usage so I can have some justification for future purchases! Since getting my WS I already feel guilty for mainly using my VCs as “stems”... hoping the induction heater will change that!

i dont know man.
I am not the standard.
and whats a standard.

Nice what you did there with the penclip on the omni carbon.

the hopper is nice. Press a button and you are good to go.
M and aomai lighter also very small but makes a sound.

Like you, I had a backup hopper.
Sold both now. Only had 1 replacement in 2 hoppers in one year of use.
So they have been good to me.
but the VC "feels" so much better.

and for the record:
I like the dynaverse.
But I am still puzzeled.

Yes, three....bought a standard cherry one first, it worked like a motherfucker, then caught the exotic bug, because when it comes to turning wood, @Ed's TnT just a has a knack for hitting the highlights. One goes on every night on my nightstand at 3.65 volts for aromatherapy. An e-nano, UD and WS is always plugged in, with at least one on standby warm, every day at home in the mancave/office. You just can't beat a log for it's home based versatility.

As far a VC's go, I find that mixing it up is like a trip to the mailbox.......you know, getting reacquainted with your gear, it comes close to feeling new. That coupled with the fact the VC's just behave differently, through the seasons, through the different varieties of product, with different heating methods. VC's are the one everyday constant for me......everyday, without fail, one is by my side. I've carried a shoulder bag for 35 years, so pre-packed VC's plus a doob tube and a pair of torches are always in the kit. The Jarhead stays on my studio desk, where I spend a lot of time everyday practicing and doing my business and personal admin. The Portside usually goes on the coffee table for the evening, on the nightstand at night. Torches for out and about and my S's and OG's. They don't do quite as well with the induction heaters, not because of heat, but because of cramming the tip onto the ground glass.....often untenable airflow when that occurs.

I have all three RBT models that are used around the house, plus I sometimes take my Crafty or Mighty out for sharing with friends. Hell, every now and then I'll pack a half dozen VC's, grab the Portside and have a "debriefing" after rehearsal with a little regional symphony that I play with.

happy camper....
that light wood body with ebony (?) MP looks dope.

anyway, just wanted to state that Dynavap is a god-sent company when you are a (ex) hopperlabs customer.
Never have a seen a nicer and customer orientated company.

Email support, flash sales, dynafeeds... this FC community

WOW

“....Dynavap is a god-sent company when you are a (ex) hopperlabs customer.” Your are absolutely right about that! :D

I've never seen any confirmation one way or the other regarding manufacturing residues, so I play it safe and do a quick ISO soak, then cold water rinse, then hot soap and water, then rinse hot while transitioning to cold (best way to get rid of the whole spectrum of surfactants in detergent and the accompanying soapy, shitty tasting residue). After that, just check the best of for tips on cleaning and reclaim.

Hey is there any cleaning recommended for first time use? I reckon a burn off would not do much. An ISO soak of the parts? Or is all that unnecessary and we good to go straight from the shiny package?

P.S. I am done flirting with y'all, VC is en route!

Just simply run 1-2 Q tip through the tip and condenser in & out couple times, you may see some black manufacturing residue on the cotton head, run one more Q tip, when it come out clean, you may rinse the tip and condenser with fresh water and dry it, it is ready to go~ wooden part is not necessary to clean if you purchase some woody. Enjoy~ Vapcap's vapor will amaze you:brow: and watch @Squiby 's VC tips you will be expert of vapcap real quick:tup:

The posts above have already covered the process to clean a new Vapcap from its machining residues.

In my signature below are more cleaning tips in the link entitled Vapcap Cleaning.

this raises the question:

How many vapcaps does one human being need.
Well, let's see, I "needed" one when I bought the first one, but after that, I decided I "needed" to collect them. I can justify damn near anything if I want it bad enough.

SO FAR, I have 3 OG Glass, 3M's (2 will eventually be gifted to those I deem worthy), 1 Omni, 1 Ti Vong (old style), several others made from various woods and pieces that I accumulated, 1 with @phattpiggie twist body and ti spinning mouthpiece, 2 PP gorgeous long stems, a @Winegums setup and 2 @stardustsailor custom ti setups, a @Pipes Portside Mini.... and am on PP's list for another gorgeous creation. I just can't help myself collecting pretty things, especially ones that I find useful!

Edited to add: also have a couple of the special edition 7 fin tips and a ti spinning mouthpiece coming my way whenever they are produced, so I can start the process all over again.

So when you say dry it. How?

If you've used ISO to clean your Vapcap, first rinse well with soapy then clear water. Then just air dry over night on a kitchen towel. If you're in a hurry, use a Q-Tip to run through the condenser and blot any moisture from the tip and then let air dry completely for an hour or so. You could even hit it with a hair dryer for a minute to hurry things up.

I don't know what others do but I never assemble a Vapcap before it's completely dry.

Time to give some Dynalove.

A couple of days ago the pain in my body increased and I needed to rest in bed. On the nightstand next to the bed lays the Dynastash, a lighter and a filled M with titanium tip. I'm really thankful for the Vapcap: thanks to the quick extraction the pain becomes bearable and my body can get in a state of rest.

I really want to thank @VapCap, the Dynateam and everyone in this thread (we all contributed to the VC in our own ways) for 1. making the VC possible and 2. helping each other.

And after all this thankfulness I want to do something masculine, like wrestling with a grizzly or catching fish with my bare hands :D But seriously: good vibes here!

I also use a hair dryer . I clean with ISO and pipe cleaners . Rinse thoroughly with hot water . Run a dry pipe cleaner through condenser then fold it and run through tip . Blow dry and I'm good to go ...
