Pulled the plug on remaining Dynavap order. It get's really old watching generations of people new to the product ask questions, learn about, order, and receive the same exact items I've been waiting on for several months in a matter of just weeks or even days. I feel I've been pretty damn patient; it would be different if everyone was in the same boat regarding lead times on orders.
Politely requested cancellation 9/22, no reason asked nor given. Partial refund invoice sent to email following morning 9/23, Matt explained bulk of order was too old to refund and that George would address situation later that morning. 9/27 still nothing, reach out to Matt again. 9/28 receive email from George that a check is being mailed, this time I receive no refund invoice reflecting what has been refunded. At this point I'm waiting on a check of unknown amount, I've spent considerable time with all of this and know what to expect. I'm hoping the amount matches and that I am done with this whole thing. After physically depositing a check, that is, something I haven't had to do in years.. there has to be a better way, seems a bit archaic nowadays but no biggie.
I've seen Dynavap described as a company who under-promises and over-delivers, this unfortunately hasn't been my experience in this instance. That said, I can't help but like George and Dynavap, I love my Vapcaps. I hope they flourish as a company and might even still consider buying their products in the future.. products that are stocked and ready to ship. Maybe PIU will be the way to go for me, if needed in the future
Thank you for posting this. I know where all of us stand in regards to George and co. and dynavap, but your experience, to me, deserves more attention than all of the happy and appreciative stories. Seems like a very reasonable response on your part. I would be really frustrated and when it comes to vaporizing and medicating, frustration is the opposite of what you want.
I'm at around 3-4 weeks waiting at the moment, but I did get a sound explanation for the delay. A Ti Woody S, dynavap and some extra o-rings. I'd like to hear about other people's situations.
I am new to this forum and to vaporizers, so maybe my thoughts don't carry as much weight as some of the more experienced members. From my newcomer perspective, George seems like a curious explorer who is out there breaking new ground and making incredible discoveries, but the base camp he's doing it from isn't the most efficient or secure.
Like everyone else, I dig the posts about new products and updates, but I can't help but think that same energy and attitude should be applied to improving the website interface and communicating about issues with customers. To me, the quality of the product is a clear step (or two) above the ordering experience.
I'm with you on PIU. I would recommend people to purchase through them without hesitation. I hope everything gets resolved for you and hopefully the guys at dynavap take care of you.
Finally, in regards to depositing a check, nowadays a lot of banks have apps for your phone where you can mobile deposit by taking pictures of the check. I haven't physically deposited a check in a long time as well.
