Not saying you are doing so, but I don't like when people use the "lesser evil" argument to make something seem ok. Plotting lowest on the spectrum doesn't mean it didn't plot at all, and being better than a drunk driver is pretty obvious for most, but still doesn't mean better than sober.
Also, the last quote is a bit unnerving, because those are the kinds of situations people most fear when supporting the banning on high driving, not driving smoothly on an open road for miles with 100' in between cars. I'm curious what the "everybody" encompasses, tho. Does it include drunk drivers, tripping drivers, other hard drugs?
