c'mon bro. Quartz has a similar specific heat to glass (both higher than titanium) so you do a similar 10-20 second torch. Quartz is much more durable than glass but it's personal preference on what tastes better, glass or quartz (or ceramic).

Anyone have a quave club banger or halen honey hole they'd care to report on? I'd like to get a banger just for ease of use (don't gotta worry about dropping it down hole)/airflow but $150 is beyond ridiculous when a regular quartz domeless costs ~$25. Anyone know any other suppliers of bangers?

A week?? Has to be a cheap nail or you got it too hot too fast for the first few uses, I've dropped my quartz nail several times now and there's not even a crack, really don't see how you could break it in less than a week (even glass nails last longer than that).

Got my banger (and a titanium paper clip poker) for $25 and it's working reallll nice, the carb cap fits it perfectly so you could roll up literally a gram into a ball and then drop it in, cap it, and that'd be a legitimate 100% efficient 1 gram dab. So much easier than trying to drop shatter around the domeless nail.
I just wish there was some way to get it electric or a ceramic one (for the heat retention). The taste isn't as good as ceramic either but still better than titanium. I'll probably use this when I'm by myself but pull out the other ones if it's more than a few people.

It actually fits very nicely, I have a video of it below you can kinda see it, the slant actually works well since it sort of hooks the cap in place. It doesn't really make a 'seal' but it fits on top and keeps most of the smoke in.

it's basically the same heating as glass, 10-20 seconds. It does lose heat very quickly though, there's no chance of getting 2 dabs off one heating unless you have both ready to go/carb cap them (as opposed to the ceramic where you can make both dabs after heating it and still take your time).

The banger is still really much nicer for capping since it used to be I'd need another person to hold the cap for me but since it's so easy to drop it in I can just do it myself.
