Yup, I got a 14/18 m/f converter so I could use the larger 18mm bucket (and so it's easier to pull it to clear).

The original club bangers are made by Quave of Mothership and you can order them in 10/11/14/18mm, male/female joint, and 45*/90* angles, but unfortunately they're $160+shipping and it takes 2 weeks to ship...

Personally I'm still loving my $25 one, just so much easier to drop in a dab than trying to avoid the hole in a domeless nail. Only thing that's killing me is the heat retention, a carb cap is pretty much a necessity if you want milky hits without getting the nail really hot (which kills the taste).

So much easier than trying to drop shatter around the domeless nail.

I just wish there was some way to get it electric or a ceramic one (for the heat retention). The taste isn't as good as ceramic either but still better than titanium. I'll probably use this when I'm by myself but pull out the other ones if it's more than a few people.

Wow that's a lot, but I guess quality comes at a price.

I was wondering if a regular carb cap could be used in the kind of configuration below. I know next to nothing about quartz domeless, but the idea sounds intriguing.

Yeah I'm just using the normal Highly Educated 1-hole cap, got it at a LHS. I'm trying to find a video of someone using the halen slanted cap cus that looks like you'd need to hold it in place to use it - with the HE cap you can just drop it on and the slant on the bucket hooks it in place (albeit not as tight a seal).

Personally I wouldn't pay $80 for a carb cap you can only use on one type of nail, especially considering the dabber end will for sure crack/break off after being pressed on nails so often. The domeless.com guy started selling his glass carb caps for $25, would rather go for that even if it breaks quicker you can buy 3 of em and it'd still be cheaper.

FWIW, I think the Halen cap sits AROUND the nail... assuming your using a real $130 H3 nail, lol.

I'm pretty sure quave stopped making these and hired apprentices to do the job. It was basically slave labor trying to keep up with production. That man's talent should not be wasted on simple bangers, he spends most of his time making rigs like this guy now (collab not solely quave fyi)

Thanks for posting the pic. I just got the same one (though mine looks like it sits deeper in the joint?). It's so nice to not have to worry about dropping a bhobomb down a center hole! Too soon to tell durability, and at first glance the joint looks on the thin side (maybe that's just compared to glass), but at this price, replacing a few a year if needed isn't bad. Taste is really wonderful on this setup also.

I got one of those, the base was uneven, stem was thin, cuts were all over the place, and it had a crack between 2 petals........maybe I got a bad one?

Quality/fit is much better. Used it once, no cracks, still getting the hang of it. Of course, holds less heat than my much larger 18mm ceramic male.

Bought a quartz banger from green buddha. I really enjoy the taste. Balancing the carb cap on top is a little tricky, and as noted above, quartz loses its heat quickly. Paid $24.99. Went back to buy another, and they raised the price! Oh well, even at a few bucks more, it's still a good deal.

quartz glass is quartz glass.. only craftmanship tends to slip qc.

I see greenbuddha has a non ground joint female banger. might get to check one of those out.

I still prefer the function of the castle quartz nail c2 makes a daisy quartz nail too. u can get the nail and carb cap dabber for 90.

but I do use my cup head domeless... I would choose one with a center tube that stuck up higher than the surrounding bowl though.
