DCup Desktop Vaporizer by NewVape

Introducing the new DCup vaporizer. A brand new take on the banger concept with a whole new eco system available. It is our goal to have a best-in-class desktop flower vaporizer, best-in-class Rosin Presses and we felt the DCup helps propel us to the best-in-class concentrate-only vaporizer with the DCup Vaporizer.

The vapor-path is Grade 2 Titanium and some accessories made from stainless steel and aluminum.

This new take on the eBanger is modular, so it requires assembly as opposed to welding joints. It is lightweight enough to not tip your glass over and it is adaptable, with connection posts available in 18mm and 14mm.

The Dcup is accompanied by its own Carb Cap featuring a protrusion that fits perfectly into the DCup Main body lid for the perfect low-pressure environment. FULL MELT EVERY TIME!

Most live-in eBangers carry a general concern for the well-being of ones glass. This time around, NewVape has made yet another use for the FlowerPot enail handle, plus a DCup specific safety stand with a Dcup specific heat post so that you can safely share your glass with other devices, or simply give it a place to rest between sessions.

Once again NewVape delivering best-in-class performance with the DCup Vaporizer.

I am rly digging the design, seems the top cover helps getting all those vapor from the big dish that normally escapes like with the Liger...saying Liger this clearly looks like one on steroids with NV quality
Keeping the airpath clean should also be a brezze with that removable top lid, i love how u can directly qtip the whole path
..is there some kind of gasket or is it just a rabbet between top cover and main body ?

Any reason why there is no 10mm adapter available, would def. need one..?

And speaking about adapter, since owning the (30mm) Liger i always wanted to use standard bubble caps, with ur design of the top cover that should be possible with a ring or something like that..?
Here´s a small sketch since i think u dont rly get what i want to say lool :D

90oeuv.jpg

Are ur sapphire dishes sourced from the same origin as Josh´s (CCA) ?

Having tried various setups including ruby inserts, pearl, sic, obsidian etc..i still come back to my Liger with the sapphire insert for the best taste...i know many prefer an all glass airpath but if u keep the TI clean i think the bigger surface makes a much bigger difference tastewise..only IMO :)
This take from NV on it looks rly nice, great addition for all us Showerhead/Weedeater users :D :D :D

edit.
I think i know hwat i want for 4/20..

Sounds amazing!!! I want one.

...But I got SCAMMED by CCA out of $500 a few months back. Not sure I now want one of their inserts I DIDN'T receive in the first place!?
I'd like the one I paid for first. Along with everything else...

Please @newvape918 Is there a way NOT to deal with these fucking thieves?

They lost one shipment because address wasn't written correctly and wouldn't take responsibility or even contact USPS to make a claim!
They also NEVER sent the nibbed bucket I returned to them. :disgust:

What is worse, Josh kept on saying they were waiting for new parts FOR MONTHS, up until the Paypal protection expired, then they stopped responding.
Up until Black Friday the guy was saying they "had no parts"... Then two days later they're doing a BF sale!

It's currently being investigated by my bank, and I am going to have to report to the Police as well to make my Credit Card claim stick, not really happy about it, having to tell the cops I like buying dab gear, but I've run out of options, I hate scammers even more.

Didn't want to notify or post in the CCA thread until it was sorted either way, but I want this product... Just not at the cost of benefiting those fuckers.

@Mr. Whitewall NewVape and CCA are not connected in any way other than Nv re selling their 30mm obsidian and 30mm sapphire dishes. I'm very sorry that you have had a horrible experience with CCA. We do have the NV / SIC and NV / Sapphire dishes that are not purchased from CCA. This is the first time I've ever heard of paypal not siding with (you) their customer. I will say that i've had good customers tell me how much they love their liger but dislike cca. All I can say about that is NewVape is in this business for the long haul. I feel company longevity = repeat customers. It's taken us a long time to weed out the products and suppliers that challenge that formula. I hope you will give me a chance to earn your business and respect. ~Edwyn

D-Cup looking good.
Very nice addition indeed.
As soon as I get some cash, I’ll get one.
My only concern, will be.....
-what about reclaim at the stand post???
-Aren’t we going to have massive build up and heavy stucked up stand post/rig post connector???

I’m guessing, it will loosen up after you turn it on, since the whole head, and post will heat up, but reclaim, still can be an issue, for heavy users imo.
Stay vaped.

reclaim will always be an issue with heavy users. I make sure to clean any build up before it becomes a problem. Its the same thing with quartz bangers.

Looking at some of these... there is really one that works with the DCup...but trying to see who like which type of cap as an alternative (or supplement) to the dcup cap. Any one have any preferences?

Btw, only number 1 on the left works but we can possibly get someone to make us one.

HI Edwyn - wow, looks like you did a GREAT job!!

I won't get into the CCA710 stuff very much at all. I do have a Liger v2.0, 20mm and I got it before all of the CCA company stuff went sideways. I do LOVE it particularly after I bought the Obsidian insert. I had a SiC insert to start and it was great, the Obsidian is...I believe...just really highly polished SiC maybe? In any case, I mention it to you as its the best dab surface I have tried. I have no tried sapphire and probably won't due to cost and fragility. I did love my SiC. But the Obsidian has all of the taste and performance features of SiC but is almost impervious to dirt and crud. Its what I use for rosin I press with my Micro20 as this surface just sheds ditrious like crazy. Every once in a while, I drop of distilled water with the rig set at about 200 F and it qtips to like brand new. In between, it qtips so well I don't even know its dirty until I use the distilled water. Just a thought, if you could source them directly, I believe it to be the insert of choice.

I do love you design.

Question: Let me ask though, the top part that gets attached to the main body, I believe you said it provides a lip to scrape off dabs if needed, but if I'm looking at the design correctly, its main purposes are; 1) to provide the top of the vapor path to the joint adapter and; 2) retains the insert.

I do like the fact that it comes to pieces so easily so all can be accessed and cleaned. I'm sure that those screws used to assemble it will get reclaimed, but a little heat, maybe a little ISO, and Robert's your mother's brother (haha....love the UK's Bob's your uncle saying).

Your banger looks like it will work just fine on rigs with vertical joints.

Question: Can you accommodate rigs where the joint is at angle to vertical (often 45 degrees). Lots of them out there so just wondering.

Question: Also, I'm guessing that with the stand and place to set your banger, you feel that you don't need a drop down...correct?

I generally leave my enails in the rig for the duration of the session so I do use drop downs.

Have you left one in the glass joint? Did it stick at all from expansion. Again, with other Ti bangers and nails (D-nail Halo) I use a drop down because they do get stuck and I'd rather sacrifice a drop down than a rig.

Lastly, I see it uses a flat coil in a manner much like D-nail Slim Line Halo. I do note with my Halo, the delta between set point and dab surface temp is a good deal larger than with my Liger 2.0. Looking at the design, this actually should be expected and set point is kind of meaningless....its dab surface temp I want and whatever set point gets me there is good.

Last Question: have you measured delta temps between set point and dab surface at the temps we may generally run at (say, 550 - 600 F on the controller).

Great job and I agree about the ecosystem you are developing. This fits in so beautifully with the various versions of the FP. Me...I have a SH and use it for flower only. Its great that you are making a Ti banger.:tup::rockon:

Lastly, I will say this to the board in general....many of us have had various issues with small manufacturer's business practices in the past (CCA710's recent performance comes to mind). But, in my few years of experience with NV, I have NEVER had a problem with order process, delivery, or CS. Those other experiences we may have had with other companies have NEVER appeared in my experience with NV....even for the very short period where Edwyn and I got a little crosswise with each other! hahaha ;)

I look forward to more news and user experience.

I quite like the look of the one furthest right, I like the longer stem for ease of rotating the cab :)

@Baron23, thanks for that description of the obsidian inserts. I was going to one up my VRod SiC dish and try either the obsidian or sapphire but I have yet to look into it so your experience is useful. Thanks! :)

The one piece body with lid seemed like the best design to me, easy to disassemble and service, no welds or swedged tubes to fail. The overhang also helps catch some of the vapor, prevent the valuable dishes from falling out, and keeps the spinning balls terp balls from flying across the room. If one does decide the scrape their dabber clean it will do that to. Should the dish get glued in the body from reclaim the long lid screw can be used to push the warm dish out from the bottom. Wrench flats 5/16 & 7/16 have been added to prevent defacing the parts when dissembling.

I'm in agreement the obsidian dish is really hard to beat. I've been using one for 9 months and it looks brand new after soaking with some tap water and a paper towel. The flavor is just amazing. Especially with fresh rosin. I'm not sure about the obsidian being a polished sic. There are separate factories that make each product. If it were a polishing issue my SIC supplier would have most likely mentioned it. As it turns out the sapphire is easier to source than the obsidian. Seems with highend watch manufactures using sapphire bezels that supply chain is more accustomed to working from actual prints. Most of the obsidian manufactures are hand made jewelry. I've not been using the sapphire dish long enough to have a preference. We are planning on having a taste test obsidian vers sapphire at dabdays710 event in miami on 4-20 I'll be more than glad to report my findings.

We have measured the heat differences between dab surface and pid read out with k wire probe. What we found is the dish temp curve starts flatting out after 4 min. The delta is like every other enail I've measured it changes based on initial temp and heat soak time. Therefore I don't believe there is an exact delta number but rather a heat curve that might be better explained in a graph. This is a difficult question as feel this is a moving target with several variables. The delta will always decrease as time increases. The delta at 5 min with the box set to 700 will be quite different if the enail is going to be left on for hours like mine. There are also 4 and 5 wrap flat coils. Both fit the dcup.

The old "should I use a drop down question"? My official answer is yes always yes protect the glass. My unofficial answer is after selling titanium nails for 7 years no one has ever told me there glass got broken or damaged due to thermal expansion from a NV nail. Yes people have damaged things from forcing the cold stuck / glued nails off their glass but that's not thermal expansion. (Just in case there's a newbie struggling with a stuck nail lightly heat the nail with a torch and use a oven mitt and don't force it. It's not stuck from thermal expansion it's glued in with reclaim and must be heated up to be freed). I use our NV Chinese glass that range $60-80 without adapters or drop downs. If I owned an expensive piece of glass I wouldn't use an adapter or drop down. I also would't leave the heat on the glass unless I was drawing.

It's my hope that customers will adapt to returning the DCup back to it's home on the safety stand with the enail handle between draws. If we only apply the heat to the glass when actually drawing the sticking will hopefully be eliminated.

I take much pride in our reputation of innovation, service, and quality. I also enjoy being on the front line answering these hard questions. Your questions @Baron23 are all spot on and exactly what I would expect from one of our veteran industry watchdogs. I've learned from my experiences here on FC that your right to judge a company's products and service around their engagement with public forms like FC. If a company's products or service has issues those skeletons will likely surface on forums and those spokespersons will likely fade away. What I'm trying to say is i'm here for the long haul.

I'm including this image for folks that might not be aware of our history legacy enail system. This system is very modular and works with flat, 16, and 20mm coils and all dnail's halo dishes including sapphire. This drop down with reclaim bucket will allow angled glass. The showerhead coil cover also fits if desired.

Hi Edwyn - thank you so much for taking the time to write such a comprehensive and responsive reply.

I’m more than satisfied with your reply and of course I’m way more than satisfied w all if my interaction w NV.

And I didn’t know obsidian was actually a unique material. Live and learn! :-)

Cool to see new gear from NewVape! Love the name, definitely hilarious!

I'm definitely stuck on my all glass air path though; would have been neat to see MACOR used here, but I'm sure many will enjoy this new (vape) offering!
I agree ... I might be interested with Macor instead of Ti ... I'm with you on the all glass path these days :)
