DaVinci IQ2 & IQ3

Was hoping @Davinci_vaporizer would have posted on the forum by now offering a little bit more info about the IQ3. Know the size of the bowl, battery, and the overall unit is larger and now has a usb-c charging port, but what about heater capacity and response to longer, harder draws?

The build quality on the IQ2 is top shelf, and have no reason to believe the IQ3 would be any different since offered with the same ten year warranty. Although, a little more info for those of us who still enjoy a session with a quality conduction vape when the occasion calls would be much appreciated. :)

If you need reviews I don't think there is anything too groundbreaking with new IQ3 compared to the IQ2? If it really appeals to you, I would go for it, and then let us know what you think here! S3 is quite different, so it's possible that might appeal to you more, but I wouldn't let the reviews guide you :2c:

Yeah from what I gathered it is just an IQ2 with an humongous bowl and slightly better cooling. What I like about the IQ3 is the (mostly) conduction heating and its sleek look. While those things are nice it is not enough for me to justify spending that much on it :\

I have all the IQ line except the IQ3, which I don't plan on buying. The OG IQ seems to have the best airflow and vapor quality, but sadly mine is one of those with the weak magnet on the loading chamber door.
Sadly, someone stole my DaVinci Ascent, which I loved over any other vape I've ever owned!

Is the Davinci app working for anyone? I tried mine today and it keeps crashing, tried removing app and reinstall, even making a new account and it still crashes.

i still have the IQ1... tested IQ2 a month ago... no big diff and specially the draw resistance is almost the same... not 'airy' which to me is an issue...
prefer how the mighty draws for instance...

what about the IQ3?

got a Roffu also...
tastes better, but i still enjoy the 'stealthness' of the IQ1 for outside use, veryyy practical size and design!!!
Everyone thinks it's a kind of e-cig etc...

Forum newguy here, wondering if anyone has experience with the Davinci IQ3 yet? (If this post should go in another forum, LMK)

Have used the Miqro-C for a while, like it, and have thought about upgrading to something larger. Saw the IQ3 was released and YouTube reviews look good … as usual, I sometimes feel people on monitized platforms have a motive to downplay their negative opinions.

So, looking for other opinions. Thanks!

Does anyone know of a retailer with stock of the ceramic dosing pods? (I'm in the UK, but will buy from anywhere)
Or does anyone here have some used ones they'd like to sell?
I also posted this request in the IQC forum.

I don’t, but one was included with my first IQ, and it was horrible. I switched to the stainless steel version, and that worked much better. Many other users confirmed the same observation. Just a heads up….

Thanks, what aspect/s were horrible?
I don't mind the slower heat up, but I'm hoping to make the most of flavour, and I seem to be able to taste (and dislike) stainless pods that I've tried in other vapes.
I quite like the taste the mIQro provides without a pod though.

I mentioned it here and in other posts, basically never got much vapor from them, all the extra heat they need also drains the battery faster.

I have about 40 different vapes and got my IQ3 about a month ago. It is actually one of my favorites. The bowl is huge, so I use it when I don't want to mess around with dosing caps and want a nice long "sip" session.
Speaking of dosing caps, it came with one, and I am a huge dosing cap fan, but for whatever reason, it absolutely sucks with the IQ3. Pretty much the only vape I prefer to just load it with dry herb. I don't think it was made for it though, as the fit is weird and way too small and produces almost zero vapor.

Maybe you got a cap for the iq2 in error?
I can imagine a cap which doesn't come close enough to the oven walls might not transfer heat well.

I never had an IQ2, but from looking at the pics, it does look like it is the same exact ones for the IQ2. The dosing cap is too narrow and too short for the bowl, it’s kind of weird. I am happy with my purchase though, otherwise. I paid $250.

VapingVette916,
Davinci sells spacers that might help, and as I looked at the IQ3, the caps are the same as the IQ2.
yea, I don't think I'm even going to mess with them. I like how ginormous this bowl is, so when I just need a portable that I can chill with for a while without fussing with changing caps, this will be my goto.

My IQ2 went quirky... it kept shutting off as it reached temp.

I've heard some customer service horror stories, so when I got in touch with davinci, I was surprised at how great they were.

Very friendly and helpful. Took me through the obvious fixes (try different batt, isopropyl on the hinges) and when they didn't work, sent me out a new one the same day.

Also they upgraded me to the 3 as 2 is discontinued. When they could have fobbed ne off with a C.

Glad to hear it. I've always had nothing but top notch exchanges with them.
Good luck with your 3!

Hello everyone  I've greatly benefited from the wealth of information shared in this forum, so I'm here to contribute back and share my experiences.

After 23 years of tobacco and 22 years of cannabis, I decided to switch to dry herb vaping. I got my first vaporizer, a black Davinci IQ3, in early December from a local seed shop. Unfortunately, it was defective: the AirDial was stuck, the oven looked burnt, and the device would shut off if shaken. Davinci customer service was incredibly helpful. After I sent a video showcasing the issues, they quickly sent me a replacement in the Sapphire Blue color I originally wanted.
Shout out to Ed ! (I'm honestly puzzled by the negative comments I've seen about Davinci's customer service; my experience was excellent.)

Interestingly, just 10 days after getting the initial Davinci, I also ended up with both a new OG Mighty and a mint condition Mighty+, so I have multiple devices for comparison. :whoa:

My Initial Impressions: The IQ3 delivers fantastic flavor and a potent high, with impressively robust vapor production. The AirDial is a great feature, allowing me to choose between a light sip or a full rip. Its a very sexy device, switching dosage pods is very enjoyable and a packed oven can keep me medicated till the end of the day. Cleaning is straightforward once you get the hang of it, and having an extra Flavor Chamber and Cool Path in rotation makes the process even faster.
I'm amazed at how long the IQ3's oven can keep going, even when I'm hitting it hard. As a "ripper," I was genuinely surprised by how far a single session can take me with this conduction device. The AirDial lets me switch to sips when my lungs need a break, and even then, the vapor remains robust. It is a premium device that becomes a personal tool.
When comparing the IQ3 to the Mighty+, you'll notice a difference in how they deliver vapor. With the Mighty+'s hybrid system, you get vapor pretty much instantly when you draw. The IQ3, being a conduction device, needs a second to cook the herb in between pulls. I've found that it's good to give it a small pause so the device can heat the herb properly before the next hit. It's a different style, but once you get used to it, the IQ3 still provides a great experience. (and flavor)

Suggested IQ3 Upgrades. :science:
To elevate the performance and longevity of the IQ3, I recommend the following:

Using 9-10mm stainless steel round screens in the "Satan's Anus" area (the space around the oven outlet) will significantly reduce debris buildup, preventing residue from reaching the cooling path and helping keep the device running optimally. This simple addition addresses the residue issue caused by the integrated screen, which allows material to bypass the oven lip, where it is difficult to clean. Furthermore, relying solely on dosage capsules for cleanliness feels restrictive.

I've been using 2x Vapcell S50 INR21700 batteries (5000mAh - 3.7 V - 15A) with my IQ3 in rotation for the past month, and the performance is fantastic. These batteries have the same specs as the originals but offer an extra 1000mAh, significantly extending my vaping sessions. It's incredibly convenient to have a spare battery for swapping during longer sessions.

Zirqonia spacers definitely helps with packing when you dont want to fill the whole oven. Always use them in contact with the zirqonia pearl. So for example my loading sequence would be:
[ 9-10mm screen // herb // zirqonia spacer (if needed) // cap with zirqonia pearl ]

The brushed aluminum, while high-grade, can sometimes be slippery, impacting grip. A Silicone Sleeve for the IQ3 is a must-have while it provides a secure grip and also acts as a heat buffer, which is particularly beneficial during back-to-back sessions when the device gets warm.

Advanced IQ3 Cleaning Tips: :myday:

Use 140-200mm long Precision Tweezers to clean your IQ3. Twist a small piece of thin kitchen paper, (leaving a 10-15mm tip), lightly soak it in 70-99% isopropyl alcohol, and maneuver it into the device's crevices or use it to reach both holes end. The twisting motion provides superior cleaning compared to cotton swabs. (Be extra careful not to scratch your device)
Once you master that, its gonna be your favorite tool.

I recommend using a small dab mat as a base for the IQ3 when you dont hold it, to prevent liquid or debris damage to the AirDial and keep the device functional. Alternatively, I find an oriental pouch (like those used for prayer mala beads) works well for the same purpose (as well as storing it) when a mat isn't available, offering a protective and stable surface.

Regularly check and brush out debris from the AirDial area and the device's lips. This simple yet crucial practice prevents buildup and ensures optimal performance.

My next goal it to try using my IQ3 with Xmax V3 Dosage Capsules to see if they perform better than the OG Davinci Dosage Pods. Will update soon with some pictures as well !

I just got an iq3 and agree with pretty much all of that ^^.

Also I might be putting it in the classies soon if anyone is interested. 😇

I got it from a warranty claim on an iq2. I gave it a week's use to get a feel for it. Its smoother and more vapourfull than the iq2. The big battery and oven work much better and make it a more substantial vape than the iq2. If you get a higher mAh battery it lasts for ages too.

It takes 30s or so to heat up and a minute before you start getting substantial vapour, so its not great for an on demand vape. But it excels at sessions, and I love being able to set a path from 330 - 440 over a few minutes.

The problem for me was that the iq2 was so pocketful, like a pax. This is significantly meatier and heavier... a bit smaller than the tm2, but solid. It can do a pocket, but really needs a bag.

What I need right now us something small and convection. So I'm thinking of selling the iq3 and getting a roffu or a fury instead.
