So what's the damage all told? Curious to get an idea about cost factor using an exotic wood.

Not sure yet, snappo only has one block of wood that would make half the daisy, and don't have a final price from Triikle yet. Ballpark $200 though, but can you imagine

I am just mesmerized by your wood. :brow:

Making great progress with the Daisy now that I have some more ...ahem... testing materials. TriiKle's tip to draw fast and roll with the whistling sound was spot-on. I have to remember to empty my lungs fully, but with a slightly larger flame and a fast draw, I am getting lung-busting hits. Really enjoying the Daisy a lot. I have not mastered the method yet as I still get a no-hit from time to time, but I have definitely been impressed with what this vape is capable of producing, and I love the build. It appeals to the gadget geek in me in a a big way.

One slight problem I have is using the Daisy in a darkened room (all lights off, TV on, for example). It's really difficult for me to determine exactly where the tip of the flame is positioned without turning on a light. I found the coolest little egg light to use for this purpose, but I wonder if a glow-in-the-dark tip on the draw stem or a stem with a glow-in-the-dark tip would be possible. I would love to see something like that.

Very Odd to describe but this is the vibe I get sitting back for the evening with the Daisy.

I too feel like that lad, except I'm on the floor next to the fire with some hardcore chillin going on. Vaporizing next to a fireplace-lit room is a great experience. The lighting is perfect to see vapor clouds float, blow O's, and watch the clouds get sucked up into the chimney.:)

You can compare Daisy to a musical instrument; in a sense that you have different notes and chords to master, but once they are mastered, there is no song you can't play.

Also can not stress enough to not treat all herbs equally. From your experience with Daisy and the different herbs you will get to use with her, you will be able to adapt quickly and adjust to get the most out of your herbs and vaporizing experience.

As for vaporizing in the dark, try to use your hearing senses more in this case. You will notice that the whistling sound is not just caused by how hard you draw, but it also has to be quite centered in the opening of the intake stem to cause the sound.

*Triihouse Company does not recommend vaporizing if you can not see your vaporizer*:p

Hi evrabady...bwade rollin in from Denver havin' some fun with daisy all of course in the pursuit of happiness and sound mind.

I contacted Tommy a few weeks ago about the daisy, after dude and rudes reviews I was keen to see what all the fuss was about and with my hammer having a fit with the altitude here in colorado Tommy said his unit should work fine here.
Well I ordered,Tommy delivered and its crankin and im enjoying the ritual.
Ive only had her 2 days so bear with me this is first impressions only but I assure You good testing is being carried out haha.

the look the feel and the instant vapor the daisy produces is magic. The experience is intuitive and You get involved with this vape, and with the butane powering her,she has a plenty of oomph.its not really so portable as other portables.like i would nt head downtown to the park and machine gun vape with daisy on a busy day.She is going to get lots of interest.

I see daisy as a always ready coffee table desktop or a portable vape you could take to work or to a friends place, its going to get lots of interest wherever You take her.Good news too that the daisy is a vape anybody could pick up and use straight away with little knowledge of vaping...she is a big girl p,just fits fully into one hand.

Comparisons : i havent had enough time to make a proper judgement yet.
The only similar direct butane inhalation unit Ive used is the Vaporgenie coil which on the road gets the job done,is a lip burner, short airpath. The VG coil has a piece of volcanic rock in the airpath so I cant say its completely similar.the daisy is in a different league to the Vg coil.

back to airpath design daisy has a longer airpath which means cooler vapor.the whole experience is simple, effective and intuitive.I had wood taste in the background on the first draw similar to the vapman.then that was it.nice flavour all around since then.the daisy feels so natural to hold and use.the mouthpiece is tailor made and fits its purpose well.
The nearest direct draw convection vapor experience it reminds me of is maybe the vaponic.nice flavour & the vapor is so cool .You gauge the vapor production looking directly down on the mouthpiece similar to a waterpipe .Taste also plays its part and the slight dryness as it kisses the back of youre throat.very smooth experience.
The whole experience feels similar to vaping with a dry waterpipe.the throttle hole in the base of the daisy adds to that takes me back to good times and is welcomed.

The Daisy Package:

The Daisy & accessories are well packed and it feels like You get a lot of bang for your'e buck.the wooden grinder is a nice addition as are the brass tweezers. The walnut main piece is chunky, sharp and clean and looks CNC cut,She, Daisy looks awesome on a coffee table. The glass tubes intake and mouthpiece are mega thick.he wood burned logos and the glass finish her off nicely. She has been designed to last a lifetime.
I would' nt say daisy would be good for air travel because its going to be hard to clean the airpath completely unless you immerse the blocks but Tommy wont recommend that I m sure.
I have plans to deep clean, split and send some pieces home by post just to be careful.

Ive asked about making tubes from Stainless steel for back up in case a clumsy friend drops the glass ones.Tommy was responsive and has mentioned hes tested stainless tubes with similar performance to the glass versions.to be honest id always use the glass versions if i had them.they add to the experience and i expect the clean taste too.

FYI the heat intake stem is quite loose in the wood. You do need to be careful when removing the wood bowl top to stir or cache the bowl just in case the heat stem slides out.I might look for a high temp O aring to hold it in there as its not necessary to remove it during use.there is a ridge for an oring to sit there.

Vapor production
I noticed in Tommy's first video that vapor production was super quick and thick. So that and the wooden waterpipe style design got me interested for sure.
Im getting vapor within 3 seconds.much quicker than my lotus There is good but simple physics at work here.the heat is drawn directly wide then narrows through a much smaller hole which agitates the heat before it reaches the bowl.no dark spots here in the bowl after a hit as others have stated.
Vapor produced through Daisy is clean or at least feels like that.No butane taste at all.It will be interesting to note any effects from direct inhalation of CO2 from the lighter flame if any.but so far so good,i havent woken up with a hack.i did wake up a bit cloudy today but that may be down to the flu like altitude sickness I m experiencing here in mile high city.either way I've found a perfect cure for altitude nausea.

finally there is Tommys communications. This company are first class to deal with.I have had quite a few comms over the past few weeks and all replys were prompt and helpful.so cheers TriiKLe!

Anyway until next time.....Washington state here I come!

Heres a shot i took on my way back to the hotel tonight, yards off the main drag in Denver for You daisy folks.

its looking real good in Denver right now.Props to everyone involved here making it happen.

Damn i just managed to convince my gf to buy this beautiful piece of work for my birthday and there's no more in vapor store. I just got her to commit because i told her it was 85$ so she said sure and to my dismay no more:ugh::cry:. She fell in love with my lotus so will probably take that. She likes the look of the daisy a lot so i will be hoping and waiting till they restock soon, because money is tight but i need this in my life VAS talking of course:drool:.

Hi I done some concentrates testing with the Daisy, I placed a 2 cm (diameter) screen in the upper hole and loaded with some kief and full melt (2 sessions), I got some crazy clouds in less than 6s!

How can I ajust the size of flamm with the provided lighter? actually I prefer to use the Honnest cause the Daisy lighter's flam is too short...

Hi Triikle, I can see there is a small hole in the wood between the heating glass tube and the bowl, I think here the heat might to be really high, isn't it? do you think it's possible to insert a small glass tube here to prevent wood overheating? how is the wood here on your daisy since you use it since 2 years, please? (I can see too another small hole to add fresh air (unheated) and if I put a tube I'll block this fresh air entrance....maybe it's not a good idea....).

Very nice desktop flame-powered vape! (maybe it's time to create a new section!)

Hey $unnyblaq,
Thank you for checking us out. We guarantee your gf will love Daisy and if she doesn't, we have a wonderful return policyhttp://triihouse.com/refund.html

As far as VaporStore goes, I have just contacted them about them ordering more Daisies. I really do not know about the price being the same though, I imagine it will be closer to reflecting our price of $149.
I could be wrong.

Hey PPN,
Thank you so much for sharing your concentrates technique. You really showed us something new about our Daisy. Please keep us updated with your experience. I want to experiment as you do and experience what you speak of . If it works that well, I think I will order some screens to include into the Daisy packages. And yes if you have already ordered a Daisy package contact me directly to get sent some free screens. I will also start advertising more of Daisy's concentrate vaporizing abilities :haw:. Really though, that is quite bad-ass and I need to experiment with that ASAP. Thank you for your sacrifice PPN:clap:.

You can adjust the flame on the provided torch by turning the gold dial on the bottom of the torch. There are 2 little slots that you can easily use one tip of the tweezers to turn using the tweezers tip like a screwdriver. Turn it clock wise to lower the flame and counter-clock wise to make the flame higher. ALWAYS TEST YOUR FLAME AND ADJUST BEFORE VAPORIZING.

Do not plug the fresh air tube. It adds the turbulence to the hot air flow and mixes ambient air with the heat, yes that is not a good idea. Technically, from our testing, it will still work, but it is better with it;)

As far as the smaller hole in the heat intake goes, my Daisy's integrity is still there 100%. The only way it will get too hot is if your flame is too high and/or you are not drawing in enough air.

How should the walnut pieces be maintained, cleaned and conditioned? Mine came with some sort of random shiny areas that appear to possibly be from tape or glue...wondering what the best way to clean it would be.

I got an issue with my concentrate technique, there is lot of turbulences where I put my larger screen and kief flies when I draw (not at the beginning but when it start to be done...) and go everywhere in the bowl, so it might be better to add a 2nd screen on your load to prevent this (I think it's only a kief issue!).

No problem Triikle, I can sacrifice me again and again!

Hi I confess you I bought this vape cause one of my favourites own horse is named Daisy...

Hi green13

When we first released our Daisies to VaporStore, I used Tung oil. I used Tung oil because it was an all natural oil, and that was what I was going for. Now I use a food grade mineral oil.

In your case with those spots, it is not glue or anything, the Tung oil can dry up to little spots like that, that is why I decided to stop using it. If you want you can just buff away some of it or if it isn't bothering you much, just leave it. It should not affect the longevity.

For future maintenance you can use a natural beeswax . I have my Daisy and she was oiled with the Tung oil and I still have not needed to oil her. That was after 2 years of use and handling.

PPN:

If you can, will you try this technique? Lay a very thin layer of cotton from a cotton ball on over the regular screen and then place your concentrate over the cotton, then vaporize as usual. Make sure the cotton layer is thin but thick enough so that the concentrates do not fall through. I have had good results with this technique and would recommend this to all Daisy users.

TriiKle,

Thanks so much for the advice and explanation. I will try to buff the spots out and use the mineral oil. It looks great as is but in the light you can see the spots so hopefully I can make it extra lustrous before I show it off to guests. Thanks again:)

LOL @RUDE BOY , I was just about to make a post about that.

When I first got Daisy I had a pretty thick mustache/beard.. So getting a tight lip seal on the mouthpiece was tricky.. And since shaving clean, these hits have been lethal! Simply huge. Just when I thought the Daisy experience couldn't get any better.

The girlfriend likes my clean shave too.. So.. Win-win!! :D

I decided to give Daisy a try and oh man am I glad I did. After 4 days I'm in love. I can sip from her if I want but I usually just ask her to slap me silly. I was thinking about that "new vape signature" for the first 2 days but I'm on day 4 now and she rings my bell every time. She's definitely a couch lock artist.

I am really curious for a side-by-side comparison and review of the differences and similarities between the Lotus and the Daisy.

I am very much interested in the Daisy, but not convinced I will like it more than the Lotus...

I see You.

Performance

Both are convection clean tasting vapes. Daisy has a hint of background wood taste.

the daisy is a direct butane inhalation vape.i.e there are no plates to heat up to conduct heat like the lotus. You draw the heat from the lighter directly into the bowl below. It hits much quicker because of this.3 seconds to thick vapor with daisy

Vapor from Daisy is cooler than the lotus owing to the longer air path.

Portability
Lotus is much better for out and about.

Daisy feels like a wireless desktop.

Beauty and looks

daisy is beautiful walnut wood.

Downsides of Daisy
Daisy is not really needed if You already own a lotus.

Daisy can't be used directly through water unless You rig up some tubing.

Wrap up

Like most vapes in you're collection, each unit creates a unique experience.the experience of using daisy and the performance is where the she shines.
I wish I could help You more but it's down to personal choice.

I still use my lotus but I find vapor smoother with daisy. I've become quite attached to the daisy routine. I hit my vapes mostly dry though anyway, using water at weekends or changeout.it depends what You are looking for.

Best of luck, maybe a little bit of VAS going on:cheers:

This is the only feature where I feel lotus wins since personally, I don't like the wood taste and I'm hoping it wears off in time. If the daisy air path were somehow lined it would be flawless. But daisy has instant huge clouds of vapor that I've not been able to replicate with lotus. Granted I'm new to both vapes and lotus works pretty great too. I think Daisy is almost as portable if you don't need to be discreet. Fits easily in a purse or pack and hits quick and powerful. I can't see the lotus being any more discreet since it takes a little more time to hit. It's just more pocketable and tastier (to me). I do love using the lotus with a bong:tup: I bought a water tube hoping to use it with Daisy but haven't had time to figure out how to adapt it yet...
