Stainless steel screen works fine. I used to use it before I discovered silkscreen cloth. Long before commercial bags were ever available.
And, it's refreshing to see a love for Mother [Earth].
I'd be keen to try those filters in the future, much prefer to work with silk than nylon as long as they aren't to much more to buy in. I did a decent scale press today using the hr10t35v and dry sift and bubble hash, worked well in both cases.
I ran the sift and bubble through nylon 25u filters and 25u stainless steel as well. Easier to use the nylon bags than the SS and felt more comfortable using those too, so SS is out of the window.
Temp set at 150f, no more than 1000 psi, zero blow outs which I'm rather pleased about. Have a seriously good selection of oils to chose from but each one is slightly different in consistency. Dry sift is more brittle, waxy and generally harder to get into a solid mass (had to heat back of a spoon and lighty rub the parchment to get it to bind). Smells great and now looks great too.
Bubble was a another story, very sticky and sappy, easy to get into a decent lump with little effort. Much better return for the bubble as well. Pressed 3.04 grams of killer kush bubble hash (high and medium grade 45-120u) got 2.1 gram back of beautiful, aromatic and reddish tinted oil.
One thing I did notice tho I got no drips off the hash? Seemed to just press out and stay on the plates once out of the solid mass. Sat there regardless of pressure or heat exerted on it, funny as I thought it would gush out?
Still in the honeymoon stage with my press but I'm learning and enjoying every squish .
