It is different vaporizing things at high temperatures versus the wrapped food though. I understand the concern, but without any evidince I dunno how much time I wanna put into it. I've tasted residuals in BHO before so pretty sure this rosin I taste seems very clean to me, I dont taste anything off at all.

Some news for Hawaii rosineers. I just got a call from a customer in Hawaii and it seems they can not get the strongway pump shipped to them from Amazon or Northern Tool & Equipment. So for these rosineers I think it may require some investigation into a local solution from a hydraulic supplier, similar to what the Australians are having to do. Perhaps they can assist with procurement.

Thanks! That black press looks slick! Is that the model you are using?
Pretty much identical. Mine was just a regular “mastercraft” (not maximum) and was discontinued and replaced by this one. Identical except for colour and the caged protection plate.

I paid $160 CAD for mine on sale and at discontinued price :)

Edit: it’s pretty much identical to the princess auto one too ... but on sale at 40% off you just won’t ever come close to that price from Canadian Tire ... there Mastercraft stuff when on sale is an unbeatable price ... and this is an extremely common 10 ton bench press sold by many vendors with different stickers on it but otherwise identical.

Eg.

psycho~ do you find having a gauge helps prevent blowouts? Do you pay it much attention, or do you adjust manually based on visual feedback?

Yes they do, but blowouts can also come from an overstuffed filter too. I had found the sweet spot on my dake for always getting perfect pucks but here lately I've been switching things up so once I have the psi calculations on this new cylinder I'll be able to get back there. Seemed like 2000 psi was about that spot which honestly is way more psi than required.

It helps to feel the pressure on the pump/handle and watch the color of the flow.

I really like having a gauge aswell cuz once estimated how far u can go, u just apply pressure softly until u hit the sweetspot perfect everytime without blowout...yieldwise no big difference in real world situations i would say, but u just get that satisfiing feeling everytime that u got pretty all out of it :D :D

Enjoy your press @iwantchipz ! Please let us know your thoughts once you get to know the unit =)

AUS rosineers may find difficulty with a gauge assembly to pair to the hr10t35v but a member @LesPlenty told me about this porta power 10-ton pump with hose (no gauge), for a fair price on ebay AU

10 ton Porta Power Hydraulic Pump with Hose

The pump is not confirmed but that fitting looks like 1/4" to me.

For the interest of going this route with this pump, how do you add a gauge? This part will be difficult. You need a 1/4" Female NPT -> 1/4" Male NPT with the appropriate size thread for your gauge on top (i.e. 1/4", 1/2")

They will look like this - I have only ever found 3/8" NPT gauge adapters so far.

This would hook up to the end of the pump and the gauge threads on top and the hose into the female end of the adapter.

My 3x5 10 ton driptech press came in yesterday! Im still waiting on the hand pump from northern tool...should be here later today. Overall the the press was packaged very well and arrived in just a few days! cant wait to use it!!!

How long did it take to come to you from when you ordered? Jw cuz I’ll be waiting all week for it and it looks like some of my stuff was already delayed at the post office :(

USPS is going very spotty right now! Just a heads up to folks, if you've never ordered during the holiday season packages tend to get delayed quite a bit with USPS. I can't say for sure with UPS or FedEx they seem more on the ball.

@Zow237 most of my dabpress parcels came from the factory so sent DHL Express to me in rural Colorado, took 5 days generally. You should be 3 days from China if you're in metro Denver. If it was shipped domestically, it's probably going ground which is 3-5 days usually.

Then you're probably not going to see any delays. I've been watching a couple of large boxes go through USPS, they said Priority Mail 2 day and we're on day 6 still no delivery =/ Tis the season!

@psychonaut im pretty sure all of my extra stuff will be delayed. The press was the only thing that is going ground. The rest of usps and says delayed haha. O well :) as long as I get the press in a timely Manner I can deal with the other stuff later, cuz I can just buy parchment and I have some tools already so I’m good to go :)

Make sure you have some two-way humidipacks 62% so your buds are moist enough to give you proper yields. Should be able to find those at hydro or head shops I believe. Boost and Bovedas both working really well for me.

Just FYI. I think I break no secrete but Roger told me some more about the new caged plates Pro:

1. 5.5x7" heated plates in a cage.
2. It shall stand a 20-40 ton hydraulic press.
3. Cage dimensions over all: 3.5" x 11" x 6.3"
4. Test production of 30 kits at first
5. @psychonaut will be our lab rat in a few weeks

I think I'm in.

Got my plates today from dapress off amazon. Amazed by the shipping speed they got here faster than my micron bags with 1 day delivery for free! Went out and got a 12 ton press from harbor freight and got to pressing. Very happy with these plates they provided a piece of wood for the bottom plate and a silicone mat to keep it still!
